Hi Spammals! I have watched you for a year now, and you have inspired me to start my own youtube channel! So far, it has been really hard finding a good screen recorder to use. Can you please tell me what screen recorder you use? (so sorry if this is spam)
"This one is falling apart and I need to replace it" funny how thats the Olympic box and just what was happening with it after the collision xD hahahahaha
My heart was racing when you were playing with the plans at the end!! They're ready to fall apart 😮! Awesome video anyways, I always love seeing other collectors stuff. We differ in that I am fascinated solely with the Titanic. I remember seeing a small bit on her in my mums encyclopedia when I was about 5, it was only 3 small lines of info about the sinking, but a small picture of a boat deck window on the wreck lit up by a submersible which caught my attention and the added fact it was her maiden voyage. Since then I have been collecting, even this Christmas my partner bought me about 5 Titanic related items haha. Thanks for sharing anyways dude. It seems people like it and even if they didn't, it's a big part of you so it's good to share! I look forward to another Titanic video in the future ;)
TikTakTak I would not worry good sir. Mr Spammals has worked with me for 6 years with this type of material. He is a consumate professional and at no point was the plan in danger.
Thanks TikTakTak! Glad you enjoyed it :D Poor Britannic her Deck Plans are rather old and in a less than great condition but believe me when I say they are better than when I first got them :D I dare say they likely wouldnt be in 1 piece today if i didnt buy them lol. I'd love to display them all some day.
Spammals I'm sure you look after them very well! It's great to see :) Incidentally, have you seen this Titanic VR kickstarter? It's already got a few thousand £ donated and is aiming for a Q4 2017 release. Baffling as to why they're looking to do it when H&G is coming out but I was curious if you knew about it. There's also a playable teaser you could play and do a video of possibly?
This is the second time I'm watching this to the end. It's obvious that you've done your homework, and the way you tell stories just by looking at a picture or a piece of wood is such an inspiration. True passion right there! If you like the Spammals, you'll want more videos like that. If you disliked this video, you seriously need to get a hobby so that you can feel that passion yourself.
It was actually your enthusiasm for Titanic that brought me to your channel. Thank you for sharing! I could spend hours watching stuff like this. The Titanic sparked my love of history when I was very very young. Your video may do the same for someone.
Spammals PLEASE dont ever end this , it is marvellous to see and hear the storys of these vesseles that the white star line and other such companies commissioned to sail the globe , keep up the great work.
That was an amazing video Spammals, i use to be into the whole Titanic and White Star Line, however the only thing i got of any White Star ship is the SS Calgaric a water color painting. Now i am more into World War I and World War II, even got quite the collection coming together. My dad was a British R.A.F. pilot that served in the 1950's and served in Malaysia during that time. That is how i got into the whole military/war collecting that and it was always a personal fascination since i was 9.
My eyes went so wide watching this that the wrinkles on my forehead probably tripled in size! Love these vids. (Also, when I liked the video, the counter went from 400 to 401, which I think is quite sick.)
this is amazing Spammals! I've never seen pictures like these before its such a nice refreshing change to see them. on Google you always see the same black & white photos
Astounding collection! Some incredible documents in there and thankfully someone credible has saved them :) I'd absolutely love to see the entire collection on video, no matter how long. Just wondering - do you have any more Carpathia or possibly Californian items? I personally collect information and photographs of the two, nothing impressive and mostly digital, but I love building a picture in my mind of these ships. I also have a relative that traveled on the Laurentic (1) in 1913, so anything of that or the Megantic would also be awesome to see. Either way, such a collection is definitely something to be proud of any thank you for sharing it :)
I do collecting stuff from old ships too :D Only stuff from the internet, like you. But I never found good photos or plans from the californian, only a few things from the Carpathia
Most of the information I've collected is from books about the Californian, and the magazine "The Titanic Commutator". I highly recommend the rare book "The ship that stood still", it has loads of details about Californian's history, construction, layout and even a set of deck plans. Carpathia was refitted a few times during her career, I only have deckplans from her early career and I'm hoping to go to Liverpool and get a hold of plans from the Maritime museum that show her layout in 1912 when she took on Titanic's survivors. There's only 1 known photo of the Interior of the Californian and it's of her wireless room. But looking at other ships like the Minnewaska etc, you can get a good idea of what her accomodation looked like. Also, did you know Californian had an almost identical sister ship called the "Colonian", a ship which is almost lost to history, there are only 2 photos of her.
Great collection by the way! I'd love to have something like this collection in my possession as im quite a White star/Titanic enthusiasts myself. Actually i enjoy all old steamers to be fair,im amazed at how big some of them are! I'd love to have walked the decks of Titanic or her sister's.
dude i love your channel and i only trust you when it comes to boats so i DEFINITELY look forward to more of these vids so keep being you and say making vids. also 11:1112:18 THATS INSANE, I CANT BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video spammals. It shows your passion for one of the things that is very important in your life. Thank you very much for this private insight at you personality. I hope you still remember me :D Don't ever change my friend.
Awesome collection Dan! I haven't seen a lot of those photos before, I guess they get dwarfed in search results. That letter was particularly lively as well, it really connects you with the people, the ship, and the time. Of course to own physical pieces of Olympic is just amazing as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get pieces as significant as those.
I really like Titanic too. ive made cardboard models that are remote controlled. I love learning more about Titanic from you. you should do something on HMHS britannic. I love that ship too
(5:48) Is this the Britannic on the right side of the picture, the white ship behind the boats? That would be amazing, the both sister ships of the Titanic in one picture, I've never seen them together before...
What a great collection! I have only miniature models and paintings that I made, I bet having a piece of history must feel amazing. There is so much to know and to see. Keep those great videos coming!
Very nice video, we talked earlier today a lil about history and maaan this is beyond incredible, I think it would be cool more videos like this, I specially liked the Olympic part of the video cause I love her so much.
I've always been fascinated by the history of the Titanic even though I'm not a huge history buff I was always drawn to the history and and tragedy of the Titanic ever since the James Cameron film
Hey Spammals love your collectoin, your videos and your love for the Titanic and the other ships :) I really hope to see more videos about those ships in the future and keep up the great work :) Greetings from Germany ^^
Thanks RCT3lp and hello Germany! :D Given the feedback recieved already I'm pretty sure i'll do another of theese some time down the road :D really happy you liked it bud :D
I collect Items from the lost Great Lakes Freighter Edmund Fitzgerald like you do with these White Star Ships. It's amazing how these old gals mezmorize us decades and even a century after they were launched. So much romance...
I know of the Edmund Fitzgereald to a degree, I know of how she was a Great Lakes ship that sunk and is kinda like the Titanic of the Great Lakes right? But yea you nailed it, It really is amazing how these old gals continue to mezmorize us all this time later. And how they still hold secrets waiting to be found :P
What a fantastic video. I loved every second of this, not only because it was incredibly interesting, but mostly because of your obvious passion for.the subject. This was great to watch. I loved watching you try folding the deck plans out carefully and shitting yourself hahahaha! Wonderful job, chap.
I was rather nervous to do it as it's me very much exposed but so far looking at the comments it appears to be really well recieved so looks like there might be more in the future! lol Thanks for watching guys
Lol The deck plan folding on camera looked way more sketchy than it did from where i was sat on the bed lol This is why I dont handle them very often, it's too risky to damage them. Best option for life, Open it 1 time. Scan it 1 time, preserve it behind museum glass. Live life lol
Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa ;) wow man great video and an impressive collection!! I really enjoy your videos. I'm a big fan of ships, partially ocean liners. I am currently a deck cadet, studying to become a deck officer and hopefully captain a ship in the future. :) Stay safe and keep uploading awesome videos!! :):)
This is an amazing collection! I just wanted to ask, and I'm not sure if I'm being stupid here, are these pieces absolute originals or are they photocopies/replicas of the real thing?
This is a realy nice collection! Sadly I don't have original items, I only have stuff from the Internet because I don't realy know where to get original items. Do you have anything from the RMS Oceanic from 1899? Because Im realy interested in this ship and searching for a complete deckplan with all classes and crew spaces.
Fascinating...I wish I could collect so many items like you did, but how DID you get them? Was it on the internet or in auctions and stuff? Wich auctions and places, may I ask? Thank you so much for your videos, I love them!
When I was little I loved the titanic but over the years I kind of forgot about it but now my love is even stronger! And it's my Birthday! The 20th January!

Do you have anything to review for the Cunard line because I see you review more White Star than Cunard. Also would be interesting if you did something with Lusitania and Mauretania
Hey there! While my collection is mostly based around ships of the White Star Line i do have some Cunard items too. They're mostly real photo postcards but I do have a letter on Cunard headed paper.

Hi Spammals! I have watched you for a year now, and you have inspired me to start my own youtube channel! So far, it has been really hard finding a good screen recorder to use. Can you please tell me what screen recorder you use? (so sorry if this is spam)

~Spammals 2k17
Love it! ❤️
The Olympic was scrapped in 1935 after 24 years of service. It is the only one of the 3 sister ships that did not sink.
Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous!! This is awesome!!
Your passion for Titanic and White Star seriously is fantastic.
Thanks Billzor!

Awesome collection spammals, thanks for sharing! Loved it! Wondering where you found the Olympic brochure, was it on ebay?
Had a heart attack when you touched the deck plan with your bare hands.
Love this video and the channel! How did you first get into titanic and the white star line?
Also, where have you found most of your pieces? I'm presuming eBay and the occasional auction.
I collect Items from the lost Great Lakes Freighter Edmund Fitzgerald like you do with these White Star Ships. It's amazing how these old gals mezmorize us decades and even a century after they were launched. So much romance...

Spammals Not even... That "honor" actually goes to the Lady Elgin.
Did you watch the program Titanic: The New Evidence? I won't spoil anything if you haven't but it was really good. It was on Channel 4.
What a fantastic video.
I loved every second of this, not only because it was incredibly interesting, but mostly because of your obvious passion for.the subject. This was great to watch. I loved watching you try folding the deck plans out carefully and shitting yourself hahahaha!

When I was little I loved the titanic but over the years I kind of forgot about it but now my love is even stronger!
And it's my Birthday!
The 20th January!
my favorite event of the white star line is when olympic rammed a fucking u-boat
The Olympic and hawk incident I think gave them too much of a swelled head and they became complacent with Titanic which itself was not a good thing.

Thanks buddy! And yea this music also appears in KSP :D I felt it fit the mood nicely :D
Spammals very true I think it does fit the mood well
i have a model of Titanic (that splits) and i have a model of Britannic (both are sinking models that are just made to recreate the sinking of the Titanic and Britannic)
Never knew there was a 2nd Brittanic that out lasted the original.
the battle was called battle OF THE river plate
Ma dove hai trovato questi documenti?
Do you have anything to review for the Cunard line because I see you review more White Star than Cunard. Also would be interesting if you did something with Lusitania and Mauretania
Hey there! While my collection is mostly based around ships of the White Star Line i do have some Cunard items too. They're mostly real photo postcards but I do have a letter on Cunard headed paper.
Spammals ok if you any help with anything related with Lusitania and Mauretania, feel free to contact me. I have the same amount of interest with ocean liners as you. Also be cool if you have minecraft, so you can review ocean liners
