  • Tracheal T-tubes and tracheostomy tubes are medical devices used in the trachea for various medical conditions. While there are some similarities between the two, there are also some major differences. Knowing which tube to use is essential when trying to manage your medical needs. Join me this week as I discuss tracheal T-tubes and tracheostomy tubes. #lifewithavent #trach #whatsthedifference

Though medical devices have advanced amazingly over time, materials science has also enabled much safer, and more comfortable, human-machine interfaces. There’s much to consider, in the area of biocompatibility, for example.

Hi lovely vent lady 💐that was an interesting video I learnt a lot more from it,if I need help breathing again I would insist on a trach like yours and it can connect to a ventilator if it needs too! If it's not being too nosey I would like to see a day in the life video & how you cope with every day medical problems & not just your trach etc! But I do respect your privacy 💖💖💐

@@barrytaylorprofoundlydeafi2479 Hello. I hope you do not need help breathing again but if you ever do, I am here for you. That is a great video suggestion. I really appreciate the suggestion. All my best to you.

Very helpful video! Thank you ❤
I have 1 question, is there any difficulty in eating with a T-tube?
Or is it same as tracheostomy tube?

Thank you for your kind words. There should be no difficulty eating with a T-tube. If the person can swallow, he can eat with a T-tube.

Hello. Thank you for your questions. It is difficult to explain (without photos) how to connect a vent to a trach. I will do a video on that. Please stay tuned for that video.
For the Ambu bag, I did a video on how to attach an Ambu bag to someone who has a trach and ventilator. I also explain how many breaths to give the person. Here is the link to that video: ruclips.net/video/Acx6GABdiPs/видео.html
If after watching the video, you still have questions, please feel free to ask.
