I was Shawn Martel And he was Kevin Cena (He wanted to play the offspring of cena) as i was playing a family member of Rick the model LOL. Your channel reminds me of that all the time its amazing

@@616Entertainment yes we need day of reckoning! Being a Nintendo supporter and AKI guy, I thought it was the best wrestling game since no mercy. I remember playing these Gamecube games and hitting an RKO out of nowhere and wiping out everyone in the ring cause of the collision mechanic.
Bro, as much as I love your reviews, the heart felt moments when you talk about your childhood, or the memories you have with a game, the nostalgia. That means a lot. It goes beyond just a bland one note review, and makes it so much more personal. I can relate so much to a lot of your stories, especially with those early WWE games. On another note, the revenge mode, man I wish they had stuff like that today. Yeah it's fucking insane, and someone was smoking some good shit for sure HAHAH, but it was unique and interesting. I never got to experience the Gamecube WWE games, I was a playstation boy all the way. Maybe I should try and make that happen.

Revenge Mode is so fun and unique (when it isn't frustrating) and i remember as a kid, I didn't know how to do regular matches in a ring, I thought they weren't in the game. because i didn't know what "Exhibition" meant, it thought it was some boring museum mode or something, so i never clicked it in like three years, but it was still one of my favourite games to play even without that.

As always, great video Ian! I'm actually surprised you didn't talk about WM 19's amazing create-an-entrance. At that time, it was by far the most amazing create-an-entrance mode in wrestling games. You can choose when your wrestle walks out onto the ramp and the timing of all the lighting and fireworks. It was amazing! I'm was happy that the reckoning games kept it in tact!
I could've, but I try to focus mostly on gameplay and whatnot. Several of you have pointed out the create features though, so maybe it's a little more important than I though.
@@616Entertainment you should consider making a video series for Day of Reckoning 1 or 2 where you create a wrestler and entrance, and go through the story mode. As entertaining as you are, I'd be all for it.
Once again hitting the nostalgia button for me with another great video man. Asking to go rent a video game on a weekly basis and ending up getting these 2 or the Smackdown games every time. 💚 Also as a huge Halloween fan and collector, I cannot wait for those videos🔪🎃
Kudos for the WM X8 prologue to this video. It was a charming game, and always gets positive marks from me for the championship options and for being one of the very few games to include one of my all-time favorites, Raven, as a playable character. It would be cool to see you hat trick this series with a retrospective on WM 21 on the Xbox. Now then...WM XIX. What can I say about this one. To me, it was the single most transitional, most 'in-between' game in the history of WWE video games, and it absolutely shows. It is literally a gaming phenomenon, a nexus perfectly centered between two eras and all of the massive IRL company transitions and contract/licensing disputes going on at the time. This game had no wrestling-related story mode, no belts, knock-off entrance music, and a tremendous lack of overall depth (outside of Terminator Mode) as a result. That being said, what we did get - and it's amazing this game could even be made at all - was awesome in a strange and eclectic kind of way. Death-Kill Mode definitely left that lasting impression on me for sure, and I still like to go back and revisit it once in a while. The roster was fantastic, even for lacking Raven, who'd have been right at home in this one. I even liked the hidden "BOSS" custom characters you unlock in Slayer Mode. At the end of the day, Manhunt Mode aside, this game will always be a weird, odd-ball classic to me...a perplexing picture of purgatorial perfection. Another great review, Six!
I was super loyal to GameCube, and my cousin was very loyal to PS2, and I remember we would always go back and forth as far as which console was superior when it came to WWE games. PS2 definitely won, but, the GameCube and it’s WWE games will always hold a special place in my childhood and heart.
I remember having this game and playing it when I was younger. Pretty sure it was the first wrestling game I ever bought. Revenge mode was fun at times but also a pain in the ass too. Hope you end up covering both Day of Reckoning games in the future, got even more memories with those.
Idgaf when this video game out and how late I am. The amount of Hurricane love in this video made me so happy. Still waiting for his induction into the HOF.
The physics where you can break up moves and all that was annoying in career mode when you just want to win but I loved it for the spots you could do. Also, the table and HIAC physics are unmatched to this day! The GameCube had the last truly great WWE games IMO
I never had the chance to try out the Gamecube WWF games. I purchased WWF WrestleMania X8 when Gamestop was getting rid of their Gamecube inventory but the disc ended up not working. I'm looking forward to the ECW game reviews because I have defended ECW Anarchy Rulz in the past.
I still throw this game in here and there to this day. God I need to move back and get a group of friends together to go nuts in this game again. I have all the MK ninjas created with their own unique movesets and entrances and my 1st original character I made back when I was like 11, Rex. Was pretty much just a buff dude in a dinosaur mask but that didnt stop preteen me giving him the Heavyweight title and dubbing him the King of RAW. Uggh this game brings back so many memories that I wish I could re-live

So nobody is gonna mention the random invisible walls u can climb after u unlock those revenge events its the one where u on the ship and u can randomly scale and it looks like ur floating in the air i remember creating my own goku super sayian and having brawls up there or what about if u beat up the refs he hits u with a stone cold stunner
My favorite part is there's actually a Wilhelm scream when you toss those union workers off the structures. A Wilhelm scream in a wrestling game 😂😂😂
Hahahahaha it's very similar.
Love the story of your buddy..got a few this game has so many memories
I always loved when you could take a bump from a nearby move happening. It was realistic. Especially for an early 2000’s game.
Egh. Not a fan. I also don't see it as realistic. How many times on TV do you see someone do a suplex and the other two guys are in the way?
@@616Entertainment I understand that. I think I’m talking more so from a selfish point lol. I remember a few times where I was getting pinned and about to lose and someone did a move that broke up the pin for me 😂😂😂
Revenge Mode sounds and looks like a missed opportunity for a beat em up style story mode. Wwe would be sweet as a beat em up game. Like, a well made one like Shaolin Monks.
Another great video Ian!
Your skits of people asking questions get me every time man. Hilarious.
I was and always will be a PlayStation boy, I did however get a GameCube a few years ago only to play the wrestling titles and I’m glad I did! It’s been a while since I fired up the cube, this video is gonna make me play more! Thanks for another great video 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Excellent choice.
Hell yeah. X8 is one of my favourites. Played it sooo much
Really fun game, for sure.
I remember my mon got me this game as Valentine's day gift wen i was 5 this was like the 3rd gamecube game i ever had fudgin memories man
Dude you gotta love those memories.
Hook triangle x squared O right into my veins man I love it!
A mainline right into the bloodstream.
I miss this game so much
Pick up a copy!
@@616Entertainment i still have mine lol, I just don’t have a GameCube anymore
@@616Entertainment loved the video btw!! Can’t wait for the Ecw games next!
@@kiudcalvin99 They play on some Wii's, too!
What a great Video!! Back in the days thus Game has a unique Game Mode!! The Roster was awesome!! I can t wait to see the upcoming ecw Video!! for me it was WWF Attitude 2.0 with Same graphics !!! Have a nice day Dude!!
It's going to be a good time, man.
Oh hell yeah I've been looking forward to this.
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@616Entertainment Definitely did! Every video from you is fire 🔥
This game was wild.. i had allll the PS2 games... but this and day of reckoning 2 were my only gamecube games.. and wow baby... this was something else
Happy Saturday Ian! Thank you brother for uploading this video! I’m eating my breakfast and watching some RUclips videos before I go to work at 8am.This made my morning! ❤️👍🏻
Great way to start!
This game was and still is very, very fun to play. Awesome video, as usual, man! Be safe!! 👊
Thanks man, you too.
@@616Entertainment Thanks, much appreciated! By the way, I also had a problem with a wrestler in these games taking a bump because they were too close to a move taking place.
21:35 is so good. Such perfect setup and execution.
I thoroughly enjoy your content. Keep up the great work.
Yessir. Thanks!
Love ur videos my bro can listen to you talk about old school games all day.. wait I already do that. But seriously u got me back into gaming hard again thanks man 💯🔥
Hell yea, man. Thanks for being here.
@@616Entertainment no doubt !
Watching An upload from the fucking king, in the latest installment of one of my favorite RUclips series!
Terrific way to finish off the day!!
Hahahaha thanks man.
WM XIX is an underrated gem. Revenge is so much fun while being a giant pain in the ass.
Agreed on all fronts.
Once again hitting the nostalgia button for me with another great video man. Asking to go rent a video game on a weekly basis and ending up getting these 2 or the Smackdown games every time. 💚
Also as a huge Halloween fan and collector, I cannot wait for those videos🔪🎃
Dude yes!
Fantastic username, too
TABLES FROM THE LAST SUPPER 😂😂💀
Hahahhaha
I'm so glad someone covered this game and the bizarre wrestling murder simulation that Revenge Mode is.
Hahahahahahaaha
"...a perplexing picture of purgatorial perfection." They should've used that as a box quote, hahaha. Thanks for watching!
I was super loyal to GameCube, and my cousin was very loyal to PS2, and I remember we would always go back and forth as far as which console was superior when it came to WWE games. PS2 definitely won, but, the GameCube and it’s WWE games will always hold a special place in my childhood and heart.
I can't wait for you to review the BEST wrestling games ever made in the Day of Reckoning series
In due time, in due time.
The One Game Series I never played Lame... I wish I had bought it when I used to have a GameCube!
Still can!
@@616Entertainment True I bet it’s Expensive now 😂
I remember having this game and playing it when I was younger. Pretty sure it was the first wrestling game I ever bought. Revenge mode was fun at times but also a pain in the ass too. Hope you end up covering both Day of Reckoning games in the future, got even more memories with those.
High chance of the DOR games getting covered as well, yessir.
Bro you were really throwing shots this video like when I heard the Benoit and the referee thing I was like holy shit (Also good video)
Hahahaha, glad you liked that.
I feel like tables were definitely improved upon, but this Cell is stop top of the line.
Another great video. You don't understand how much that chain part in Revenge Mode pissed me the fuck off as a kid. Just about broke the Gamecube.
Great game!
The ECW episode will be great, I assure you!
I love that.
@@616Entertainment Finishing moves were the running big boot (Dino Stomp), Triple german suplex (REXplex), and the triple powerbomb (REXbomb). In my head the crowd would spell out his name with each suplex or powerbomb with his finishers lol
They'd cheer out R-E-X!!! and the match was over
