I just ordered the razor last week I was torn between it and the chopped but when you said you can fit 2 skid lids in the razor I was sold! I ride mostly solo anyway and my wife is just learning to ride her own bike she just got her license so that will free up space on my bike once she gets her own bike!

Hi Steve - I was wondering, what about having the hinges and latch to match the tour pack as well? Only current options are chrome and black. (open that selection to have the color match the tour pack) It may be nice for the latch and hinges on the tour pack to match the latch/hinge on the saddlebags. Anyhow just a suggestion.. :)

Pete Lanzone haha yes have been testing this but no eta... Getting paint to stick is easy.. Getting it to stay is harder said than done.. We want to make sure it's going to not peel after soon time of use.

Advanblack makes one for the razor/chopped...im going to give you two links so you can see the difference between the king and the razor/chopped. Hi Steve, great video's! I was going to order this chopped tour pak for my 98 FLHT but it doesn't appear that it will work with the stock HD detachable rack. If you are familiar with the older HD's there is a U shaped bar that the pak attaches to so it will clear the license plate. So, my question is, are the pak's for the older bikes different on the bottom or do they just bolt up to that U shaped bar? I definitely can't just bolt it to the rack like you do in the video's.

#1 Bagger paint in my opinion was spot on for both extended bags and tour pack. I waited two weeks after I got them and did a full polish/compound on the bike and there’s no way anyone could tell difference.

And also did you have to drill hole on the chopped pack for that bigger back pad? if so is there a way you could post a video on how you did it? Hey Brenan....thanks man much appreciated. The wrap backrest will not fit on the razor pack, sorry...just to big. The wrap backrest and the small backrest do have different hole patterns. The wrap has one in the middle and one on each outer edge and the small pad has 3 in a triangle pattern in the middle. But if you ordered the chopped pack with wrap backrest from us it should have came pre drilled for that.

I have no idea. you can call sales and ask them. 5 to 6 weeks is pretty standard for everyone right now. I ordered a set of saddlebags from HD and it took 3 months. Just got them the other day for a customers bike. You can shop around but im going to bet youre going to find the same results from everyone right now.
I purchased a chopped tour pack from Harley because I have a very difficult one off paint from Harley. Radioactive Green. My issue is that I purchased a Hogworkz back rest and it doesn't have the same bolt holes. Have you ever drilled and mounted a different back rest on one of these? I am planning on trying to make a templite from the back of the back rest and then transferring the holes over from there. Starting to drill with very small bits and then stepping my way up to the correct size. Just wanted to see if you have every done anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Jody im doing the same thing soon when my cvo backrest comes in ...I know the hole are not the same as the advanblack holes. I usually make a template on cardboard and transfer it over...like you said...start small make adjustments as you go.

Hey neighbor! Ole' union county...I actually graduated from Cobden ...Were just outside of Marion by the lake of egypt. Advanblack offers black and chrome hardware for the rack and the hinges on the pack...the king is the only one that will fit a full face though.
it will come with the tour pack, inside plate and backrest. You will need to make sure you have a 4 point docking system and the tour pack mounting rack to install it.

if you already had the king pad on you will have holes out on the outer edge. Flip your lid open and look at where the bolts are. They are out on the outer edge. The smaller pad has all three holes relatively center.

Can you securely lock the rack to the mounting hardware. You may be able to lock the tour pack but what’s the point if someone can just walk up and remove your whole tour pack and rack and walk away?
Mark, The cam locks that come with ours are just like the ones that come with the HD packs. I dont think I have ever seen a tour pack that came with locking cam locks..however you can purchase Locking H-D Detachables Latch Kit to secure your pack to the 4 point docking system. Hi Steven, I have a 2015 Street Glide Special and tried the Chrome Latch Kit 9030087 to secure my rack to the docking system, but it wouldn't fit. I checked this with my Harley dealer and they confirmed these latch kits are not compatible with any 09-later touring models. So unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to securely lock a tour pack to our touring motorcycles? Hard to believe I know...
I dont understand...these are listed on HDs website to fit your bike. It actually says it fits a ton of bikes. Fits all models equipped with detachable Sideplates, Racks, and Tour-Pak® Luggage Carriers (except '18-later Softail® models with HoldFast™ racks and uprights or '09-later Touring models equipped with detachable Solo Tour-Pak® Rack). You have tried these on your 15 sg and they didnt work and your dealer told you they wont work? Im interested..I like proving my local dealership wrong lol It happens a lot. Im very interested to see why they didnt fit and why they would list them to fit.

About to order a Razor and am debating on getting a luggage rack for it. If I purchase with out a luggage rack and get one later does the razor have guide marks or hole marks where to Drill the Tour pak for a later date? Thanks!
@@chg2799 the rack should come with 4 small plastic cup feet for the rack so it doesnt sit right on the paint...almost like a washer. This will also block any water from getting in
No sir .. I havent but I had seen on the review page where a few did...Im wondering if a new gasket from HD would solve this? I get the saddle bag lid gaskets from HD for other builds I do and they are fairly cheap...11 bucks I think. They are stuck on with 3m double sided tape...pretty easy to remove and replace.
yes..any tour pack can fit any harley granted you have the proper tour pack bracket for your bike. That being said, these are pre driller for the tour pack bracket that fits 09 up models. So for the 08 or older you will have to create a template and re drill holes to fit bracket.

yes the tour pack rear LED tour pack lights will work with our tour packs...as long as its marked 14 up you can order from whoever.,Custom Dynamics has a very bright clean set also.

You show a chopped tour pak with a wrap around back rest. Do they sell a wrap around back rest for the Harley chopped pak?
Its virtually the same backrest but I dont know if the bolt hole pattern is the same on Harley.

Gm Steve I've noticed a color difference from chopped tour pack which is the amber whiskey color its darker than the color of the bike is that normal.

yes ... All lids have 4 guide marks on the inside pressed into the mold so you can see where to drill if you want to add one later.

I do not believe so..I think you will need the king for those. The chopped is roughly only 2 inches bigger than the razor.
