Lake Arrowhead is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, California, surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, and surrounding the eponymous Lake Arrowhead Reservoir. Lake Arrowhead is located 13 miles north east of the San Bernardino city limits. The population of the CDP was estimated at 12,424 in the 2010 census. It was formerly called "Little Bear Lake", until around 1920, when a group from Los Angeles, the Arrowhead Lake Company, bought the lake and the land surrounding it, and changed its name to Arrowhead Lake.
Tourism is the primary economic generator for the area, contributing several million dollars per year to the county and providing hundreds of full-time and part-time jobs for local residents.[citation needed] The area is host to over 4 million visitors a year. There are 400 guest rooms in hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts, vacation cabin rentals, condos, and rustic cabin lodges and resorts. The Lake Arrowhead community is home to the Lake Arrowhead Country Club[3] and Golf Course, Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club, and SkyPark at Santa's Village. The area is also popular for business conferences.

I love that a place like Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead is so close by. When I vacation I prefer to get away from the city, and Big Bear does that for me. Such a different energy that I love.

Thank you so much for taking me back to Lake Arrowhead. We used to go there often as a family, my grandparents owned a cabin there until about 10 years ago. Such a special place to me. Glad you and Beth found the vibes you were looking for.

Little Bear bottle shop is a pretty new place in Skyforest. Sadly, that area has had a lot of turnover since the market crash. There used to be the best little locally owned businesses there. The new/used bookstore across the street in a cabin in the back. The A frame was a yarn shop on top with fabric below. The antique shops and the unique knick knack places. You just never knew what you would find. I miss the old stores. Even the village has lost so many fun places.
I loved these Big Bear Adventure videos! They brought u so many great memories for me! Thanks for taking us along for some vibes. Really enjoyed the edit and being able to join you outside the park too!

We love Lake Arrowhead. We usually stay at Saddleback Inn. We could leave the dogs in the cabin, walk down to the restaurant and enjoy a nice dinner. Thanks for the video, see you around the parks, sincerely, Robin and Mike
My great great grandfather built the original dam in Big Bear and was one of the first settlers on the mountain.

I was about to buy a house in Lake Arrowhead but ultimately decided now wasn’t the right time. I love it up there! So much so that I know I will eventually buy a house up there someday. AND only a 1.5-hour drive away from Disneyland!
My family used to have a vacation cabin up there. I loved going up with the dogs and walking around the lake any time of year. But it was extra special in the snow. It can get a lot! We eventually had to sell it after using it as a long term rental for many years. It later ended up costing us more than we were making on it. But no regrets because those memories last a life time. What a lucky kid I was!
Just an FYI...getting insurance for a cabin in Lake Arrowhead is a bitch. If you do get it, be prepared it will cost you a whole body. The fire risk has made it this way.
Small town shopping has some of the neatest stores. Now I am a little disappointed you didn’t bust out into a yodel 😅😅

I love Lake Arrowhead I spent a lot of time there as a child. Very nostalgic. I hope I can go back up there again this winter hopefully while there’s snow.
I was shocked to see Pendleton there! For years it was a G.H. Bass store. I’ll admit I’m a bit sad to see it gone. Oh well. Glad to see you enjoying the blanket store.
Are you planning to do Santa’s Village at Christmas? It used to be a rival to Disneyland. It’s so cute and christmasy and try to go when there’s snow.
The G.H. Bass store was actually next door to where the Pendleton store is now. The Pendleton store was across from the McDonald's before it moved.
Santa's Village is not what it once was. It is now called Skypark at Santa's Village and is an adventure park.

Been thinking of all the people up there now battling all this snow. I hope lake arrowhead and crestline recover soon from the blizzards
The sad part about Arrowhead is that it's a private lake so no lake access for the public.
A good option would have been to go to Santa's Village, which is not far from the lake. It recently re-opened about 5 years ago and is wonderful. It actually pre dates Disneyland by about 6 months if I recall correctly.
It's packed with us lake right people as is. I can't imagine it being public. It would be a disaster and would be ruined immediately.
Santa's Village is now Skypark at Santa's Village. It is an adventure area, not what it once was.
