Just got mine yesterday and it looks perfect. The fit and finish is superb! I decided to check the intonation (after playing it for about 3 hours) and I had to adjust the two middle strings a little. The truss rod was set a little high, but not by much. Other than that, it's great! It also sounds very good. I don't see the need to change the switches or pickups. The nut is even cut very well, so I don't see needing to change that either. I cans see that you get more than your moneys worth with these. It took a whole 10 days from Germany to the Midwest to get it, so that's not even that bad! I'll be a repeat customer at Thomann.
i used to had fender telecaster black paisley but sold it due a money problem and it's suffer me until now maybe i would try to find this cutie black paisley
I just bought this guitar for my daughter. I ordered two so I can pick one. Both were equally good players and sounded quite good considering the price. Cosmetically they varied and that's a hit or miss thing. In both case though, the value for the money is hard to explain. I ordered right away a new Tusk nut and new tuners (Kluson locking ones) as I knew those would have to be swapped. It still comes to a ridiculous price. And it is even better looking in real life than on the vid or pics.
I regret NOT sending it back. Would need: new tusk - made myself a brass one since the replacement sent was too narrow, tuners, whammy arm, loud as a truck, neck not set up properly, so the strings buzz, strings will have to be intonated. Sounds OK, but comes with way too many defects. The old saying is still true: You get what yo pay for. Luckily I have a great custom with humbuckers, so this was just a test how the Strat sounds. Better be 100$ more and playable out of the box, that having to basically finish it. I strongly suspect that they run this advertising, by giving the testers carefully finished and set up guitars. Just seen the next video: HB VS Fender USA. Yeah and Yugo is the same as Cadillac. I have played the same blue original Strat in the music shop and ANY comparison between the two is a scam.
OK Sold! This thing is great! I have a TE-52 arriving tomorrow and sometime soon I'll be ordering this one! ;) My number one guitar is my American Fender Tele but I think these Harley Bentons are great! :)
Dude we did a blind play with a HB les paul and a Gibson Les Paul....the guy didn't know which was which. He had been playing for 42 years. These guys are cheating the system and we reap the benefits.
I just got a B stock for a little cheaper! Needed the frets sorting as they were like a hacksaw which is probably why it was returned. I find the neck a bit thick but i have stubby fingers!
Wonder how these are now made in Indonesia. I've got a couple HB's, and they're great guitars for the money. Especially if you have the ability and knowledge to do a proper set-up. And, they're fantastic modding platforms!
Nice looking guitar. I'm glad to hear the neck is thinner than the last unboxing you did a couple of months ago. A buddy of mine did the same and ordered two Harley Bentons a couple of months ago, and both had chunky necks. Despite the chunky necks, they are good starter guitars. Enjoyed the video!
i own a sc 450 lp style harley benton and i gotta say its a great guitar , put in some new pots and beefed up the picups and it would be way better than any epiphone !!! im gonna probaly order this one now
Wanna turn this looker into an excellent Tele? Drop in Seymor Duncan 'Hot Tele' pickups. Maybe some tuners and a nut if you're picky and/or wanna go all out. Those pickups really push this guitar into the ethosphere.
Great vid, I've got the ST70 Black Paisley Strat version....fabulous playing guitar, you're making me want this Tele now to match, they would look amazing together 👌🔥
Hey, that was a cool unboxing video. I've just happened to be checking out that black paisley TE70 today on the Thomann website. I really want one. That or the natural one. Anyway, you guys seem pretty cool, so, thumbs up and subscribed from here in so bay area, Los Angeles. California.
The serious musician would hardly consider this guitar as a replacement for the Fender Telecaster. The home or beginner musician will likely find this instrument to look good and sound acceptable for its price. Thanks for your review.
Beautiful guitar! The Harley Benton guitars ussed to come with Wilkinson pickups which I like. Does anyone know if the Roswell pickups are as good , better or not as good as the Wilkinson pups???
I have a Harley with the Roswells. No complaints for the price...Most people I hear say they preferred the Wilkinson's but that there is nothing wrong with the Roswells
I have this guitar. The Roswell bridge pickup is a tad harsh, then again they always are, but the neck pickup is really excellent. For more sounds you should check out David Wallimanns video.

I just got a HB TE 52. Stunning! Buy with confidence. This one is probably much lighter since body is poplar. I am tempted! I hear some buzzing.

It's tuned in German, you have to take the exchange rate in mind. :)
A year later, and this is still an underappreciated comment.

Not bad. Nice look. Only bridge pickup sucks.. Some Seymour Duncan little 59 tele is great replacement!

What's that crazy yellow guitar on the wall?
It's a Gibson Corvus.
Looking down the neck is not how to check it FYI.
How much are you selling them for?
I don't sell them
What model Snark is that?
A faulty one I think

It looks very nice but it didn't sound very good it sounded very twangy not impressed
probably because the tones hes using don,t really do it justice ,its actually a very nice sounding guitar with the right set up
I don't know why I watch these. You waste half the time looking at cardboard and styrofoam.
That sounds horrible.
Maybe get someone who can play.
Sorry.

Deal breaker,,made in China.
Sounds like a cheap guitar.
Not impressed with the sound at all,,,, I am a bit surprised, Harley usually delivers ,,,, 😣
your out of tune
