Wow, man, I'm blown away! The last review I watched managed to make this guitar sound tinny and two-dimensional. Know what I mean? This video shows, right from the jump, what this guitar CAN sound like. Thank you, Jonathan -- and very well played, I must say!

Love the Harley Benton TE-52 NA - the best value Telecaster style guitar out there, by a mile, in my opinion - worth at least, three times its price. Absolutely wonderful playing Jonathan. A perfect review and demonstration of this lovely instrument.
Hello Jon! :) Thanks for always saying hello. Just wanted to say, you're still one of the best players I've ever heard. You're amazing! So unique and so much feel and heart.
Man, your reviews do not help me to decide on what to go for. It is just not fair, that every model sounds incredibly nice in your hands. I could buy every single model if I just watch your videos :) but thank you for sharing it! you are such a positive, nice person to watch. wish you all the best!
I've notice that hb single coils sound really good for the most part sometimes their humbuckers aren't as good but then again some of them sound really good so its awesome you can get such bang for your buck heavily considering one of the rosewood te70s after seeing your fancy shijie
I have been gassing for one of these for a while now. Very nice guitar and a great demo! Just noticed that you are above 2000 in subscriptions. Congratulations! You deserve 100K.
Hi, I bought this model and the lower specced white due to the same shipping price for both. The white has comparatively weak pickups but its neck is flawless with no buzzing from the thin vintage styled frets. The model on this video is also beautifully made and finished and the pickups are meatier sounding and with more depth. However, there’s been noticeable buzzing from the frets, and there’s no sustain when bending the thin strings on the 15th fret and upwards. Firstly, there was almost no neck relief, which only took a 1/4 of a back turn on the trussrod to rectify. The buzzing was only noticeable on the wound strings (of course), so I dragged out my fret rocker gauge and lightly tapped down on a few high frets with a tiny hammer. I then went down the fret board listening for the buzzing to reappear, which I’d again tap down the other offending frets. Big improvement except that the lack of sustain on bends needs further investigation. It’s a lovely guitar but kind of feels like a pickup truck due to the chunky neck and body profile when played next to my go to guitar, the Yamaha Pacifica PAC012, which feels like a svelte Miata/MX5 in comparison. I also have an high end R Series Ibanez, an American Standard Strat, a Yamaha RGZ312 Superstrat and a lawsuit Japanese Les Paul from 1977, which I have owned since 1980! This is my first Telecaster guitar and it’s been a fun guitar to play and has a raw, earthy sound to it, which I'm appreciating. Jonathan, you really have an interesting and great way of playing the guitar. Hi to all from Australia
I love watching your reviews on some fantastic guitars, I’ve been tempted to get this guitar for a while now. You just made them a sale. That first intro jam was absolutely stunning too, such great skill and a pleasure to listen to! True skill, nice one Jonathan keep it up buddy!
Your videos have brought me so much joy , information and relaxation. Got the green fusion Pete Thorn lookalike and love it. Thank you 🙏🏻 from your new biggest fan in Ireland. Neil
You really know how to play to the strengths of each type of guitar really well., Your double stop bends sound spot on and really showcase the Tele sound. I am ready to buy my another HB now but I am torn between the TE90FLT and the Fusion II roasted maple. Stainless frets and roasted neck are pretty tempting but the TE series is so inexpensive...decisions, decisions.
I got a Fusion II about 3 weeks ago and it was perfect out of the box, I was very impressed. Just a slight adjustment of the truss rod was all it needed. The pickups are definitely a bit noisey with gain so may get swapped in the future, but well worth the money.
Good demo viddy. Just got my left-handed TE-52 and I can't put it down. Got a set of .008s for it as I have 71 year old hands with some arthritic issues and I need to be able to bend strings without pain. It's heavy as heck but I generally play sitting down. The price is very affordable. Gotta be the best bet for a non-Fender Tele style guitar. I am very pleased with this purchase. Get one.
Thanks Jonathan. I will be getting one of these for sure. I like the idea of a satin neck also I think it helps, me anyway. The tone sounds lovely and true to a Fender, I 'm looking for a thinner tone for country stuff, they sounded good to me. I think Thomann are doing a great job. Nice playing by the way. Cheers
Great review Jonathan. You answered all my questions in the video. Tuners are good, pups need upgrading. Probably the whole wiring harness , pots ,and a selector switch too. Maybe a switchcraft plug socket. As you say in the review, it’s a well made guitar that’s ripe for mods. Thank you for taking the time to review this guitar. It’s the first video of yours I’ve seen and you now have another subscriber. Your guitar playing skills are first class too.
Love teles! i built one with my father not to long ago! i want to get a modern one thats 24 frets, if the Harley Benton Deluxe tele you did was 24 fret i would snab that up so fast lol!!!! great review, you really are a fantastic player!!
Beautiful guitar. I have one (stock), and the Harley Benton TE-62DB CAR w/Laurel fretboard this is my go-to axe. And I'll tell you 99% of the audience couldn't care less about the PUPs. They just want to be entertained with good music! 🙂
love your videos, thanks Jonathon. The fatter, chunkier necks are easier for me to play. I'm assuming the vintage Harley Bentons like the TE 52 or vintage LP style guitars might have chunkier necks, but you mentioned the Black Paisley has the thicker neck. They pretty much all say C shaped neck, so it's hard to tell. Which Harley Benton would you recommend I try to get myself a thick chunky neck?
WOW, this would definitely give me the reason to buy this guitar, you just gave me the absolute best demo I've seen out there, great playing & sound, which multi- effects are you using, I'm also a huge fan of milk- effects going direct, great video my friend !!!
I got this guitar a few weeks ago. It had some flaws like a to big neck pocket or the bridge position. I still kept it because I can fix it and it plays and sounds so good
Excellent job. I don't need another telly but I'm going to get one for the heck of it. They're 133 right now plus shipping. So less than 200 bucks. Oh yeah I'm in
You play with nice feel and musicality just one question The guitar looks and sounds great value, why do you think the pickups are not good for gigging?(im a bit of a skinflint and don't replace bits on guitars unless they are broken or really low quality)
Another solid classic guitar style from Harley Benton. Even the basic £79 model looks gorgeous with the metallic paint. Great review again thanks Jonathan.
Great job & playing as always Jonathan !! :) I have a TE-52 from mid 2016 as seen on my channel in recent video's that back then I think I paid $160 can for. Here is the key of it all .... the body is worth the cost for it period!! You can strip it all away & build off the body alone!! You cant get a body like that for what the overall guitar costs period !! The rest of it on it is just "bonus" stuff. :) In the case of mine .. it has the wilkinson pickups in it ... BUT if i want a country sound out of it it does it. I also find i can play any led zeppelin stuff on it easily as well. But AGAIN ... this is why thomann moved away from the wilkinson branded pups cause they where finding inconsistancies in them. The ONLY things otherwise that i've done to mine was the bridge you have on that black paisley accept in black, a new neck as I refinished the original one n in the process it got a twist & black locking tuners. Thats it. Again your getting great value on 1 of these & at worst a great body to build off of as you mentioned !! :)
hello jonathan, instead of going for a TE20, I went for this one, I think it will come tomorrow I'm antsy! , thanks for the review you're a great guitar player, you make it look professional.
as always its good to see the lord blessed us with another day of life, in which i can enjoy your playing. if you havnt yet check some of nick johnstons music i think he would be wright down your alley.

The other demos have been some wanking and noodling ad nauseum to hope someone is impressed with their banal riffs. Nice demo, please keep it up, we need you.
Man!!! That Guitar Sounds AWESOME!!! My Brother In Law Put Me On A Quest For A Telecaster Through SUBLIMINAL MANIPULATION (Here To Fore, I've Been A Strat Man So Far As Fender/Fender Derivative Guitars). I Was Hoping The Pickups WEREN'T Swapped Out For This Review 👍😀. With Where Technology Is Now, And How AWESOME The Guitar Sounded, You Don't HAVE To Swap Them Out. I'm Vacillating Between This Harley Benton & The Fender Classic Vibe 50's BB Telecaster, Whichever One Is IN STOCK First!!!
New sub here, KILLER playing and chops! What would you suggest for pickups to put in this guitar if I didn't want the Roswell stock pickups? Thank you!
Greetings from Texas. Of the TE's the 52 is the one I'd buy. Of the Classic Vibes, the 50's Tele is the one I'd buy. Are they comparable in the quality of their components and their fit/finish? The Squire costs twice as much as the Harley Benton and some of that is surely a markup for its association with Fender but is there a player's reason for paying more? Peace.
The TE52 is ok for its price. I dont see any flaw in the guitar apart from what happened during shipping. Get the HB if you dont want to spend too much. You can always upgrade stuff as you go along.✌🤓
The CV '50 has a Bone nut and Fender designed pickups. It has also 9.5" radius. Beside the radius that I dislike, the CV is also a good choice, but I would go with the HB TE 52
Living in the states im having a really hard time pulling the trigger on an hb guitar since i cant get my hands on one in person b4 i buy. I hate ordering online, but the prices are so good i might have to.
Nice review, as usual. So, for less than 200 a really beautiful t style. I think that with some little mods it could be at the same level of a fender mim, or maybe better: roller string retainer, high quality pups (dimarzio twang king in my opinion should be perfect), tusq nut and brass barrel. So for 450 you will have a perfect t-rex axe.
Great video review Jon. I've been thinking about this guitar. 135 usd so I can always change the tuners, saddles, and pickups if I don't like them without breaking the bank. You can't get Fenders in ash or swamp ash anymore and the TE-52 body is supposed to be American ash. Mostly, I'm looking for an electric I can gig with without being too concerned about being ripped off.
What would U recommend, the te 70 or this baby? I'm really not a solid good guitar player, drummer for 30 years but can play. U talked about the neck on this being much easier and more comfortable to play on? 😎 the price is almost the same and Germany is bording my country So no problem in getting one? however, I do like the finish on the Black Paisley. And did I say, your playing is phenomal on your videos, You could play on a showel and it would still sound great. I really really like your sense of tone, tonality, the perception Og your musical ears. You are a Really really great guitarist. best of wishes, Brian
Have fun with that thing. Had to go lookup the SC1000 since I hadnt seen that one yet. Pretty nice looking axe. You should be melting faces in no time at all.
My mind says I do not need another Telecaster. But after seeing this video, my heart says "Maybe I need one more...". :)

Maybe a traditional Tele set from Seymour Duncan✌♥
Love those West Coast Grooves backing tracks, also love your playing :)
Thank you 😀✌️
I've been checking this guitar out for a little while. Ended up buying a vintage Bullet instead but this sounds pretty great
A vintage bullet... Cool!!
Have you heard and tried the bullet FSR butterscotch blond? 129.00 shipped I'm tempted.
Not really...🤓
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Ah. Lol. That's cool. Probably much better with HB series!
Love your playing style! Sounds so good! Just bought one of these
Cool ✌️❤️
Great Job... ever do a warmoth build?
Maybe in the future!✌♥
Thanks for the review. Neck pickup is muddy, the bridge sounds thin. If I get one, I'd be planning to drop in a new set of p/u s.
You 're welcome!!✌🤓
Everybodys complaining about the weight :) I have a 1965 tele and it weighs 3.9 kilos. I think most older teles weigh in around there
Hahahaha.. Actually 4 kg soon that heavy..I've played on guitars that weighs more ✌️🤓
Hello, i just wanted to say that your playing style is awesome!
Thank you✌️❤️
What would U recommend, the te 70 or this baby?
I'm really not a solid good guitar player, drummer for 30 years but can play.
U talked about the neck on this being much easier and more comfortable to play on?
😎
the price is almost the same and Germany is bording my country So no problem in getting one?
however, I do like the finish on the Black Paisley.
And did I say, your playing is phenomal on your videos, You could play on a showel and it would still sound great.
I really really like your sense of tone, tonality, the perception Og your musical ears.
You are a Really really great guitarist.
best of wishes,
Brian
Hi Brian! I would recommend the TE70. It just seems a better made guitar compared to the TE52 :)
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Thanks for reply 😎👍🏻
which one do you prefer? (In stock conditions) this TE 52 or the TE 70 black Paisley?
TE70✌💙
Would you consider this a "blonde" finish even though it is natural looking in color?
yes✌♥
Here is one of the masters , you go jonathan
Thank you✌️❤️
