Exploring Jim & Jesse duets on ArtistWorks with Michael Daves and guests

I've been loving this exploration of the music of Jim & Jesse and the Virginia Boys, as part of the monthly welcome videos I make for my school of bluegrass vocals on ‪@ArtistWorksInc‬ . Jim & Jesse recorded some of the greatest duets, on some of the greatest material, with some of the greatest bands in bluegrass. Yet they don't always get mentioned alongside Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Flatt & Scruggs, and Jimmy Martin where they belong. So each month I've been breaking down one of their classic songs and talking about what's going on inside their music. I've had some very special guests help me out including Sierra Hull, Andy Statman, Tony Trischka, and Mike Bub. FYI these monthly videos supplement some Jim & Jesse material that's already part of the main curriculum, along with an extended interview I got to do with Jesse McReynolds in 2019.
