- This pasta dish is delicious and super easy to make. It’s called “al brucio” because of the spicy flavor. It originally did not include ricotta, but that helps balance the spiciness of the sauce. You can also top it with a spoon of burrata at the very end, or even a slice of buffalo mozzarella. Buon Gusto!

What a lovely recipe and that presentation with the ricotta in the middle is how my mother would serve pasta with ricotta (sometimes cottage cheese if we did not have any) and I enjoy it the same way as well. Brava!
You had me at ricotta, I love putting a spoonful of it on pasta. Taught my neighbor this, you would have thought I gave her the winning lottery ticket.

I tried this recipe last night and felt like I was Lidia using all those simple steps and the tossing in fresh basil the way real Italians do👌, ( Though I did keep the garlic in and used rosemary powder, but darn it forgot the ricotta!). This recipe is going on my small list of weekly dinner menus. Now I know what to do with all those little tomatoes that sit in my fridge just getting wrinkled. They won't get a chance anymore!
