hello Mike. thank you for watching and subscribing. dont put yourself down ! people cant know everything at one time. learn a little here and there as you go. there was a time when i didnt know how to do things either. have a good day.
How is the ride? In order to get my clearance and keep the ride as plush as possible I installed a 2” lift kit, and backed the preload off to the min amount so the springs are held firmly in place. It gave me about the same clearance as you have. I also had to move the damper knob a couple clicks to the softer setting. Maybe I need to go this way instead.
the ride is much better than the stock springs. i have mine set up a bit stiff to keep the front end from diving in corners. as to how you should set yours up, do what you think is best for how and where you ride. also your tires and pressure play a big part in the way it handles. thanks for watching.
Wish you showed more of the preload set up and where you was measuring from.
I am a new subscriber and just wanted to Thank you for all of your help and information that You provide . It helps a dumb dumb like me .

Good vid...i have recently installed this same kit on my 17 1000S... i ended up with about .75" preload and sits higher and rides so much better
hok69 sounds good. It does ride a lot better. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Do these give you any extra lift. I have a 2020 1000 and arched a arms and 3” lift need some more clearance 😂
