All I have in my head watching this is, life is too short to care what other people think about my clothes. On my way to the other side of menopause C O M F O R T A B L E is the word.
I only wear round glasses -- except for my sunglasses, which are always Wayfarers -- and I get compliments on them all the time. It's the right shape for my face. I know I need cute shoes, but I have to be steady on my feet. I also wear a lotta black. Bro was criticizing me just last week for never wearing shorts in the summer and I said, 'It's black jeans now and black jeans forevah, I don't care how hot it gets, that's how I roll.' I do wish I looked a little cuter sometimes. But why, rilly? It's all just for myself now that I'm older.
Overly colorful makeup. I think as we age, we begin to feel invisible. So, the temptation is to brighten our makeup. Nothing screams old to me, like overly-colorful makeup. It's similar to wearing too much jewelry. It is clear we're trying too hard. Understated is classic and timeless.
I have to admit I love to wear black! I am trying to stear away from it but it is my go to. Also, I think the jean trends are hard because not everyone looks good in the jean of the moment. I hate a wide leg jean and could never do the holes . Fashion for me is hard because I despise shopping so tend to hold on to things for a long time. Don't do pastels so I'm good there!😂
Made my Saturday! Keep it simple by only keeping age appropriate clothing and If I over plan I look worse than just going on the fly. You always look gorgeous, Lou! xoxo
Too much blush! Coco Chanel should have also said, before you leave the house, wipe off 1/2 the blush you are wearing! Face powder! On more mature women (such as myself), it always settles into the fine lines and wrinkles and ends up accentuating them! Over lining the lips with dark lip liner! Great video!
I just threw my Crocs in the river. Thanks Lou, it was worth the ticket for littering! The only exception for wearing Crocs with Socks, is when touring a Wienerschnitzel Factory in Frankfurt.
I’m still astonished even at my age 62, how some WOMEN cannot support other women. Why? If someone does different work, and because you’re used to another way. You feel the need for negative remarks. I grew up in the 60s and I’ll tell you, my mama always said, if you have nothing nice to say, then you be quiet., unless someone is causing harm or hurt to another. Otherwise, just stop, but you’re negative stuff. Keep it to yourself. Be nice be kind or be quiet. I mean this woman’s is up here telling you what SHE does. She never said YOU should do it. Actually you don’t even have to watch the video. I always told my kids, be prepared, because there’s always gonna be that one person at a party or school or some event that just always gotta be the party pooper! I guess that counts for RUclips videos as well. Listen.. I watched my first video of her. I was just going through hair videos grabbing ideas. I found her a video, bleaching her roots with A butter, knife, With the facial bleaching product. I thought well, this is gonna be interesting to watch. And you know what it was a hoot. I thought it was a fantastic idea. I wanted to give her kudos! For her for trying it and sharing it. She’s actually the kind of person I’d be friends with. Why? because I am a type of person that would’ve tried it if I was in her predicament in England and the results were Fantastic! I like watching her. I think she’s funny, Salt of the Earth. Just seems an easy person to get along with. I subscribe to her right away because I thought it was brilliant and I know it would be something I would have done. So Lou don’t pay attention all the negative comments there’s always gonna be those haters . There is just always that one That’s the party pooper! 💩 I don’t think they can help themselves. Here I leave a clue for you. Listen. Lou, you do you , you let them do them. And at the end, whatever they might say, just don’t allow it to offend. Leggings aren’t pants, and I wish women would stop wearing them. I also think the jeans with holes and/or rips look ridiculous. I for one don’t dress shabby. Pastels wash me out. As for footwear, I have chronic pain in my entire lower body, and wear athletic shoes most of the time.

Hair, i never know what to do with my hair. So i just let it grow. Now its down to my butt. Should i color it? Should i not color it. My 87 year old mother has a friend that is 93 years old that has blue and purple hair. But this woman still ballroom dances and jogs. I digress, hair? Help!
I’m not a fan of these lists. I prefer an older video of yours where you made fun of these “shouldn’t” type of lists. I’m paraphrasing because I don’t remember the exact quote or source but my favorite directive for aging is that the only thing you shouldn’t wear is the weight of other people’s expectations.

Socks with sandals. I’m 51 and my mom does this. And they are frumpy sandals to boot. Makes her look so much older than she is.
