This is 2023 and i can still say Numark NS7 iii is still the best, im still using mine, though its very old but cant stop loving it, how i wish i can change it to another brand new
" this controller isn't for everyone " I umed and ahed over purchasing this controller for a very long time. I play house and techno, I had a DJ sx but I came directly from a vinyl background. I don't scratch, did I really need them platters? Short answer YES it has made me feel like a DJ again!!!!! Being able to drag beats back in sync with my finger is priceless to me and I can forgive the fact that I need a forklift for transportation ( lol ). So glad I bought this it is easily the best solution for all us older generation djs ( I'm 40 ) who learned to DJ on technics. This controller is just so much more fun to use 10/10 for me😍
There is a plus and minus button help beat match if you don't use the spindle.. plus u can turn off the motors for the people who don't like them spinning always.
Thanks for that review, I am a mobile Dj in the states starting on turn tables over 20 years ago. And still going strong I still use vinyl for certain things, but my NS7-3 is my go to now. And I absolutely love it.
All controllers make scratching easier because you can be as heavy handed as you want without skipping needles. I started with realistic belt drive straight arms from radio shack back in the early 80s. I got the first ns7 when it came out and still use it in 2018 .It works for what I do . might update one day but right now I don't have back need to. I like the touch effects though. And maybe run some V7s for the other two channels..hmmmm?
I had the NS7 11, it sounds good, user friendly, lots of space for large hands it's just a really fun controller. Then my worst fears came true. It's a Numark. Started freezing up, platters wouldn't respond,, pitch is a little off, Serato DJ dials just spinning around super fast, problems with Windows 10, it was just a mess. Sent it back twice end up getting rid of it. I wanted to keep it but crashes are unacceptable. I ended up getting the Pioneer DDJ SZ. Not crazy about it but it's rock solid. Had it for 1 year and half never had one issue with it. Thought about giving Numark another shot with the NS7 111 but I see people are having problems with that as well. Wish they could get this thing working properly. I don't think it will ever topple the Pioneers but it should be running a close second.
Nice review,, I love that unit. I use to carry Cases (turntables, 1200 x 2) and five crates of records so the weight does not bother me. I will get this unit in the next couple of months. Looks like so much fun
Spent years lusting after Biz Marky's 7" technics☹️, then these came along,😋 Yummy,🙏🏾🙏🙏🏻 all prayers answered. Instant buy. Got both ns7ii & iii. Both brill & no regrets. One made up owner over here.
I have been looking for controllers now for a few months, and I can't make up my mind. I have been using turntables since 1980, and I love spinning platters. And I just sold my back up mixer (Rane 57sl). I currently use the Denon 3700, and I love them. But, I would like to clean up my setup a little, and have an all in one. ( I have also had the 3700 for 10 years now-- but plan to keep them). First I looked at the Numark NS7iii. The spinning platters are cool, but they look so dated. Change those platters and add the ones on the Denon 3700 and 3900 and it would make a huge difference. 2nd: Why so much RED????? The Pioneer Sx and Denon MCX8000 look so much better with the colors "including the colored pads. 3rd: This is a tricky one! The pitch control on the left platter is on the right side of the platter. That seems normal to be on that side, but I like it on the right side of the platter like the Pioneer Sx. 4th: I don't know about you guys, but I love having a cross fader for the headphones like on on the Rane 57. It is just so easy, compared to pushing buttons. 5th: Last but not least: Weight!!! Caring around my 2 Denon 3700's, a Mixer and my road ready case is 75 pounds. The Numark and a case is not going to be too much lighter. I like the Denon MCX8000, but no spinner platters, and the Jog wheels are so light. But boy does it look good. The Pioneer SX2: I was surprised at it. It was nice. But it looks small, and the SZ looks huge. So, can you guys please help me?????
I hope Pioneer release some sort of similar addition (the screens) for their DDJ line. But also give the ability to go laptopless. I know there the XDJ line which has screens but they have less features than what's on the DDJs. If I was purchasing my SX2 now, I'd probably end up picking the NS7iii instead. Its how I felt about the SX2 over the NS7ii. Now I feel the NS7iii has the edge over that.
one thing i don't like that you cant do with the screens is view video if your gonna do video mixes, deck 1 on left screen, middle screen the actual video mix output, and right for the deck 2. just hope they can upgrade the screens to do this. But i know those screens are gonna cost some money like maybe $800 just for the screens lol.
I really wait for this review for weeks but nobody talks really in deep about the platters! And the vinyls! If you can do fast rewinds!??? If is cool for beatjugglings! And a really good test run! No only scratches! But well thanks
virtual dj8 is much easier to use to be honest , making playlists is better thats why i will go for the reloop touch contriller its a lt cheaper as well does the same thing
i think is great for the price Numark NS7 III but it dont work with out computer ....only it works with computer so i can wait for stand alone controller
I still don't understand why some DJs wanna ditch the laptop... I thought one of the coolest things I've ever saw, a few years ago, was a laptop connected to a DJ setup. That made me wanna be a DJ.
I agree it's like they want to go backwards in time. Rather have a laptop that I can see with ease instead of carrying crates again.lol . Most DJ's that complain about looking at a laptop are probably not that good anyway. So take away the laptop take away the mpc pads take away the cue points effects and hard drive and we're back in the 80s.
@@mm-2018 Maybe 'some' DJ's want to mix / scratch using their ears ? After all, music is for listening. Watching a screen not only makes you forget about the very people you are supposed to be entertaining, it also makes you mix with your eyes watching a waveform and lining up beat peaks.
When is NUMARK Gonna have 2 USB outputs so that u can plug 2 laptops at once .because when a next dj comes to play on your player the previous dj has to stop the music which is bad
garvin hippolyte no bro u don't have to stop the music choose any chanel and switch the button to line instead of pc and then lower one channel and raise the other one me and my brother do that all the time I play with serato and he plays with virtual dj

Old but gold.. Numark is the father of motorized controller!

Thanks you said the same thing that I was thinking .. great for old school Djs

I learned years ago on technics and fancied getting back into it. Just so expensive to get a controller that's close to the vinyl feel 😩
@@Pr0ject2 i got mine used for 500€ in 2020
This is still Numarks best, I wish to have one hopefully after quarantine 2020 is a hell of a year.

Best controller just the right feel for old school DJ'S That really mix and scratch... NUMARK NS7III FAN HERE!💯🎼🎶

That smoothness that you learned with the belt drive TTs still carries over here because you will have smoother scratches.

Hi ! Will you make a review of the turntable NTX1000 from Numark ? Thanks

Interesting
It's discontinued now
where did you get that info?
Why get this? in a few years this will be out dated, then guess what? the NS 7llll!!
You mean IV?
I still use my ns7 launch.... I used to be the guy who buys the latest and greatest. But now if it works for what I do.. I keep it til it breaks.

I think you can continue a usb as the other DJ sets up, it is easier.
