I bought the game last week and thanks to your videos I quickly learnt its gimmicks ! I hope your channel will grow along the updates ! Also about the immigrants who built their own homes I think that is what they did in the Americas. The settlers in the far west had to buy their lands though. In the XVIIIth century in France we sent female criminals (not only hookers) to Louisiana, they most likely didn’t have anything waiting for them and relied solely on a man to marry them. On the other hand Louis the XIVth sent out a few female orphans to Canada with a 50 pounds dowry in some cases, these ones always found a man and a home.
20:11 You're talking about homesteading! Quite popular in North America in the late 19th/early 20th century. Give people land (which you -ahem- stole from its previous inhabitants) for free so that they build homes and farm the land. It was used a means of developing the economy and establishing sovereignty over isolated regions.
Knew it had to be a thing, it just makes sense and would probably make them feel a sense of belonging after they built their homes, ya know, if pixels had feelings, XD
About export: do you absolutely need to designate the warehouses? From what I understand they work like warehouses in that they fetch resources on the ground/from buildings. Meaning: 1. When you export food, and both an export depot and a warehouse, for example, have one worker, half of the food will be picked up for export, half will be stored. 2. When you export food, and the warehouse is full, all of the food will be exported (since the warehouse cant pick up their food). Maybe this isnt super optimal for food, but for shields, for example, you could absolutely do with half of it beeing exported and half going to the warehouse. We also need to keep in mind that the warehouse usually has more workers than 1. I just do it this way because I dont need to micromanage every warehouse and depot. Maybe you mentioned this mechanic in one of your videos, but just typing out a long comment for the algorithm when v1 hits.
Cheers mate, I pretty much thought the same as you, but I wanted to export all the meat and fish and they just weren't doing it until I specifically designated the warehouses. I think it'd probably better to do so anyway, so that you have finer control over the exact amount you export. If you're concerned about having to micro, just make one massive warehouse and connect exports to that instead, which may or may not be coming next episode XD
3:49 "You guys watch other Songs of Syx creators?" Really just you and "deighv" so far. There aren't really any large creators covering this game in an interesting way.
Cheers mate! Yeah, probably not a beginner series, especially given how Cretonians are actually one of the worse species to start off with. If you'd actually like to follow along every click of the way, the main solution I can think of is muting the video and watching at 0.75x speed or checking out other Songs of Syx channels, since there's quite a number of them doing playthroughs. Either way, best of luck with your cities! :)
If this video gets 21 likes, I'll do another Spot the Cretonian in the next episode :)

Cheers mate, have a good one! Damn, history goes hard and sounds pretty metal, ngl, XD

Love your videos Oshan Man! I have more maths incoming ;)
Sounds good, looking forward to it! Especially since that gap in the market is definitely not one I seek to fill 😂

Nice work, but for a newbie this gameplay is too fast to follow

Stop doing gameplay and start doing tips and tricks, this is da way.
I know bro, but gameplay actually somewhat makes money eventually and is way easier to make
I do have a couple scripts being written though
