Thanks for sharing about burnout. No need to apologize about stepping back. I'm always interested in hearing people talk about work within the context of coastfire and this is just part of that, since you're likely working more now than when you were traveling. Glad you are enjoying it! We'll be here whenever you post next. ☺
I understand you have your life to contend with, being on your own is a little more difficult. Build your foundation to the point you feel comfortable to continue what you are very good at. 👍👍
Our dearest Brittany,💖 watching your update vlogs always brings us so much joy! 😘It’s wonderful to see how well you’re doing with your finances-you’re amazing. Bravo!👏👍 Remember, you have only one life to live, so enjoy every moment.🥰 It’s great to see your entertainment fund go up! 👏You’re young, so have fun. You’re doing fantastic. 👏👍Lots of love from both of us.💖💖💖
Is your cash account a HISA? If not I would recommend putting that in there for better interest rate and quick access back to the cash. The best interest rates currently in Canada are EQ bank or Wealthsimple though it has gone down.
My thought on insurance. I will basically only use it when a building of mine burns down or something similarly catastrophic, so put a pretty high deductible on it. It saves me a good chunk every year.
I feel you on liking your job, but also wanting to explore. That would be awesome if you took advantage of the age 35 and work holiday visa. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders, so I know you'll figure it out :)
