How to get the longest vase life from cut Hydrangea blooms - • How to get the longest... Хобби
I’ve always been a gardener, but thanks to you, I now look at my shrubs, perennials and annuals in terms of arranging. It’s definitely changed how I see my plants, and deepened my appreciation for them. Thank you for adding a new and wonderful dimension to my gardening experience. 🙏🏻🌻
I completely agree! I actually appreciate my rhododendren bush now!
Oh Phyllis! This comment has truly touched me. A deeper appreciation for plants and nature is exactly what I hope to share. I'm so thankful to have garden friends like you. Thank you for these kind words.
Thank you for the invitation to enjoy your beautiful garden with you. I have learned so much from you. Thank you so much!
This is a terrific video. Thank you for your descriptions and information not only on possible choice plants and shrubs, but also for tips on when and how to harvest...and ‘shelf life’ of each plant. You have a charming way of bringing your knowledge to your viewers.
How could anyone dislike this wonderful presentation?....Just don’t get some people!
It is easy to hit the wrong button on a phone, especially with a big thumb 😊 I believe those are just accident dislikes, because no one could seriously dislike this video, or any or her videos 🤗
Those red tulips behind u! 😍 stunning!!
That was so helpful!! And your arrangements, as always, are truly gorgeous 🌸
Would you consider doing a tutorial for your arrangements? How you pick your vessel - the dimensions. If you use chicken wire, etc. Thanks, Anne
I love Solomon’s seal. I have a clump of it flanked with epimedium under a tree and it’s so graceful
Hi Danielle,
I have not found many people who are is into gardening and flowers as I am but I think you are!! My yard has lots of shade. your video was very interesting. I do have pretty much all the flowers you suggested. Clematis is another one that I think grows well in partial shade and it’s really beautiful.I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for making them! I know it must be a lot of work! I always think I should make some videos but then I think of all the work it will take and I don’t do it.
I like that your choice of shade loving flowers are deer resistant too!
The framing for this video is stunning!
So glad I found your channel! You seem like the friend next door; someone to share a coffee with and talk gardening! Enjoy your garden excursions and your comments about your grandmother. Mine had gorgeous garden borders and I like to think she inspires my efforts as well. Thanks for all you do.
💚
Those acid loving shade bloomers are beautiful!! 💐🦋
I especially like that your hydrangeas are blue!! 💙💙💙
That Columbine arrangement was just 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Love the oakleaf hydrangea too!
Love this!! So helpful. We have been living with my in-laws and I have been foraging in their woods and landscape to put together arrangements. I have been loving azaleas and rhododendrons and the vase life is incredible!! And dogwood also.
My grsndma had a bleedong heart plant. They always remind me of her. I always thought it was majestic to see the little hearts as a child.
Now we need a bouquet featuring all these at once!
I loved this video, because I have a lot of shady areas in my garden! Thank you!
Wow!😲
Those Tulips looked Delicious!
And the flowers were pretty as well😘😁
Omg, I literally bought an oak leaf hydrangea earlier today so I was afraid to watch this...worried that maybe I messed up and bought the wrong type of hydrangea, I didn't though. Woohoo!
Astilbe is underrated
Thank you so much this was so helpful. I would love to see more on shade gardening because of a new area I'm doing in my garden. I have been struggling on what and where to plant things in this area. Thank you I love watching your videos.
My mom, who is 93 years old, used to cut rhododendron for arrangements. Perhaps older generations used to do it? Thanks for highlighting it! It was a lost memory for me about my mother. I can even picture the vase she used.
I live in North Georgia where rhododendrons are native. When I plant mine, I will think of you and your Mom. 🌸
Thank you so much for all your wonderful information. Especially grateful for the Reblooming hydrangea details. I have one and want to add more this year. I'm afraid to cut mine for fear it won't get blooms next year. It's so beautiful. New sub here. So glad to hear you are in my growing zone. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and seeing all your ideas. 🌺🌷
This hands down is one of the most informative, educational and truly interesting video I have seen. Thank you so much!! I now am a fan.

Lacebugs on azaleas are new to me. 😧Thank you for doing this video on shade plants. I have many of them, but don’t use them as a cut flower. Please do more videos on shade.
You are so knowledgeable compared to others. Of course you have the education in Horticuture. Love listening to you tell us about the flowers. I am going to start my own cut flowers in my garden soon. I had the area all ready and have to have surgury. But will be ready next year. You have taught me a lot and are really appreciated.
