Great reaction. You definitely want to see Craig and Jelly Roll doing this song live at the Grand Ole Opry. Also Craig's live version of "The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost" at the Opry.
There is a video of this - Craig Morgan invited Jelly Roll to sing this with him - I think it was at the Opry. Might have been an award show, but the two of them together are fire.
Great reaction! If you want a song to really get you in the feels (as the younger people say 😊), you must listen to his song The Father, MY Son, and The Holy Ghost! It’s a tearjerker for sure. The one of him performing it at the Grand Old Opry or his appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show-he and Blake Shelton are good friends. You will not regret it.
He has an amazing catalog. He has a wonderful soul a true patriot. Please listen to his song “ The Fath My Son and The Holy Ghost “. He wrote it aft his son passed in a rafting accident. It helped after my own son passed away. Very moving
Morgan served with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions during his more than 10 years on active duty, but his fellow soldiers knew him by his birth name, Craig Morgan Greer. He dropped the Greer when he started his music career, and you might have guessed there's a book out now that tells that story.
Most people believe the I'm almost home part is a double. In one meaning in his dream he was almost back home but in real life he was almost home meaning that he was dying and about to leave this earth and going home
HE ALSO SANG THIS SONG WITH JELLY ROLL, AND THEY WERE GREAT TOGETHER, YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!!! IT'S GREAT!!!!!! ANOTHER ONE OF HIS GREATS..THE FATHER, MY SON, AND THE HOLY GHOST....A SONG HE WROTE WHEN HIS SON PASSED AWAY.....
Craig Morgan Songs worth Checking out..... Fun/Entertaining - "Bonfire," "Redneck Yacht Club," "International Harvester," "Raise the Bar," "More Trucks than Cars" Serious/Touching - "This Ain't Nothing," "The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost" (Live on Grand Ole Opry)....
They don't mention Hot 100 because a lot of country music doesn't cross over into the general charts. Which is what I love about country music, classic country music in particular. They weren't looking to be crossover artists, like a lot of newer artists. They just made pure unapologetic country music.
I just caught this reaction, I have always loved this song. But after losing my sister, my brother, my husband, his sister and two brothers since 2020. It hits a hell of a lot different. And I understand the old man, damn it! In my dreams are the only times I can see them now. And those dreams are so sweet to an old 56 year old lady that has lived a hell of a life. And I have regrets, but every thing that happened, made me stronger. Or maybe crazy 🤷🏻♀️
A lot of Country would enver hit Billboard hot 100... It's only when a hit is big AND manages to cross over that Billboard hit 100 might be relevant. There are many amazing number 1 country hits that never made it into that list... ❤
I actually prefer when they don't crossover. Those are the most authentic pure country songs and my personal favorites. You lose a little bit of what makes the genre so unique when an artist tries to appeal to a mass audience.
@@staceyolvey1527 for the most part I agree. I was referring to the song's success going beyond Country, not changing the sound... I'm a big fan of classic country
I love watching all your new reactions to music that I grew up to and love and I love that you always seem to enjoy what I enjoy. Craig wrote a song that will make ya cry so I won't recommend because others will and I will watch it if ya react lol.... Country music is a reflection of most Americans and how we feel and what we live... city vs country ... any city person is welcome in the country!!
I have another Country song for you, that I'm sure that you'll love. I dedicated it to my grandpa that passed away in 2005. I didn't get to see him soon before he passed. Shortly after, I got to hug him in a dream. *Andy Griggs - If Heaven*
Country music lyrics paint a story like no other genre! Video is not needed on this song! Everyone can relate individually with memories specific to their life! Great reaction! 🤠
George Strait is arguably the biggest and the longest serving country music artist still alive. His accolades are proof enough. He has more number one hits than just about any artist in history. Check him out!
Great song and it’s country music….definitely check out “That’s what I love about Sunday and This ain’t nothing” by Craig
Great reaction. You definitely want to see Craig and Jelly Roll doing this song live at the Grand Ole Opry. Also Craig's live version of "The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost" at the Opry.
My favorite song by him is "What I love about Sundays"

I believe (more knowledgeable viewers can confirm ) that he re-upped last year! If so, bless him even more! Great singer!
Craig is awesome. Please do more of him. ❤❤❤❤❤
I've made it known that I want this song played if I ever have a funeral.
The father my son and the holy ghost....fantastic song he wrote after his 19 yr son died in a drowning accident
That soul you hear is Crag himself !

Craig is definitely a road you should go down!!

Beautiful song and voice! ❤
Traditional country music incorporates Blues, Gospel and soul.
Todays country is closer to Pop than traditional country.
Great review. You nailed it.

Couldn't agree more! Give me the old school traditional artists any day!!! 🤠

My favorite Craig Morgan song is "This Ain't Nothing."
I went to high school with Craig
You will find, Country has the very best Songwriters!
Craig Morgan - What I Love About Sunday’s
Check out Craig and Jelly Roll version. A must is his song he wrote on the death of his son. The Father My Son And The Holy Ghost.

You have to Craig Morgan and Jelly Roll on The Grand Ol Opry sing this ❤
Country music lyrics paint a story like no other genre! Video is not needed on this song! Everyone can relate individually with memories specific to their life! Great reaction! 🤠
Jelly Roll sings a duet with Craig on this song.
you should hear...Father ,the Son, and the Holy Ghost..A true story
George Strait is arguably the biggest and the longest serving country music artist still alive. His accolades are proof enough. He has more number one hits than just about any artist in history. Check him out!
Don’t listen to “father, son and the Holy Ghost “ unless you want a song that makes you feel.
Country music is storytelling. This song is at storytelling best.
martina mcbride concrete angel will break you in the best way. Country has a way to make you feel the story
Heck NO!!!! I BAWL ON THAT ONE!!!😢😢😢
This song made Jelly Roll want to survive!! If made him cry , me too!❤❤❤❤❤
OMG! You gotta do The Father, My Son And The Holy Ghost”, That’s What I Like About Sunday’s” and “Red Neck Yacht Club”…
You gotta review his song. The father. My son & the Holy Ghost. Bring tissue!
Dude, make a country song, your not bad.
This ain't nothing is my favorite from him.
Did you even get what the song was about. The man was telling him he wanted to die so he can be home
He released this song why he was still stationed in Afghanistan in 2002
This ain't nothing is another great song
