Liam! What do you think of a customer support chatbot for e-commerce? It seems too simple for me, just putting de FAQ's into a knowledge base so that customers can ask questions. For me it seems too easy and I am not sure if it can provide any value. The chatbot would consist of just one part where the customer can ask it questions about the webshop. What do you think about this? Or do you have maybe some sugggestions on how to expand such a chatbot?

Great content. I can see myself getting into this. However is it possible you could create a video on how to hand off the finished project to the client. How does this work if you are monthly subscribed to several pieces of software (Botpress, ChatGPT, Zapier etc). Great work again!
I agree, I am very confused as to how we'd deliver the keys to the customer, especially without the retainer model since it's not beginner friendly. Once I've concluded my sale, do I create an account under the name of the customer and hand them the login details and tell them how to use the tools and the different prices and limits of each tool?

Great video Liam! Just a quick question though. Can we offer retainers if we cant give out contracts, for example some people in your community are under the age of 18 and in some countries they are not allowed legally to give out contracts. Have you got any alternatives for those people?
I would suggest they get good at marketing, try to work with someone that already has an AAA company, and get paid from them.

👨🏻💻 I think retainers is how you scale. Without retainers(month to month is my favorite) you either have super cookie-cutter product (not much competitive protection) and super cheap marketing or you are going to struggle with constantly attracting new clients very difficult. Cost of getting new customer is 4x of keeping the existing one and given that AI is so new I am sure your client has more places where automations can be implemented. Plus without industry expertise your automation is not an amazing fit, because only chiropractor knows exactly what he needs and problems they have. I had month-to-month retainers that lasted for years although initial project seemed to last only 2 months, because of the quality business owners wanted to try to change other parts of the business. IMHO much better strategy.

Botpress AI is not up to par yet. My clients reject their knowledge base responses most of the time. I'm working with their team to fix

Yo - If you sign up a client at 5k-8k monthly retainer to set up chatbots and automations... seems there's only so many chatbots you could build for them. You'd probably be done with most clients in a few months. After that, why would the client continue to pay you 5k-8k monthly retainer?

But don't you think practicals videos of how to use botpres zapier and stack AI and interconnect them would be a lot more helpful not to only us but to you too for gaining for views as many need are just starting out and there are no proper tutorial
If he did that, he would be the GOAT and effectively the pioneer of revolutionizing the idea of turning an AAA into more than just an idea that only a few can make work.
Of course, we can figure this stuff out on our own by speaking with people in his server ect. But yeah i agree that level of value would be immeasurable to beginners like us.

Honestly, I decided to get into this ... this week.
But I have been writing software since the 90s....
I see this: Develop a model to deploy common services and tools to many businesses. Over time, hire people to do retainer and other activities.
But I have decades of SW experience. I live and breath automation.
I should be able to use the SW architecture I have learned in 4 decades to inform the design of my AI solutions.
Like an actual artist can use AI artistic tools sooooo much better than non-artists.
I am trying to find that space.
Because a week worth of conversations with free ChatGPT has changed my understanding of where the technology is...
We went from typewriter to smartphone in about 20 years.
This transition will undoubtedly be both faster and more extreme.
As a swe as yourself would you opt a stack like Zapier, botpress etc to build your model or go more traditional route and use ai api within a self built solution

Good question. After a week of looking at various AI tools...
Developing a significant code base for a project is hard; a time consuming process that keeps you from releasing functional software.
The pipeline/workforce pieces seem to be very mature, and they often already allow you to use the API through your own API key. I believe they even allow you to run arbitrary chunks of code...
This week I am going to try to make a whisper based AI pipeline that summarizes conversations saved in audio files.
I this is basically all pipeline and prompt engineering with no software.
I can see value for a cellphone app that saves your audio file to the right location and shows the summaries produced... that seems like something that could be done in Flutter pretty easily.
Probably not a lot of coding, but lots of organization and structure that is the sort of thing you would find in a code-project. I.e. this will be organized in source control like a code project.
Interesting take away, can you please elaborate more on how you build a pipeline in this context?
Is it triggering a prompt sequence with a certain action or purely based on a pipeline that runs to improve itself?
Only pipelines Ive had experience with are for testing such as with jenkins, azure and gh actions

I think Zapier would be easy to learn if you already understand some sort of workflow processing.
It does more than just AI prompts. You could take the output of AI steps and post to Twitter or send an email. Ot do a Twitter query as an input to a prompt. Seems like it should be able to do anything I currently care about.
Later ai am sure I will want to do more sophisticated stuff, but good enough for now.
If you guys would like to develop these ideas further and put a sales team behind a completed product, I would love to have an in depth conversation about it.

Botpress charges 0.005$ per message. Sounds bad to me. Using it reminds me of Dropshiping; anyone can do it but they can't offer competitive prices
You transfer the bots to the client account so they pay for usage...
