Honestly, except for Riddick and the character in this film, most of Vin's characters throughout his career can be described as " muscular dude with 1 dimensional cheesy/cringey quips" or "muscular dude with 1 dimensional stoic personality". Like dude's basically a dollar store version of the Rock. The difference is that Dwayne has enough charisma and star power to at least make his characters semi-likable, even if he just plays himself. Vin only has the FF franchise to keep himself relevant
@@Mo-vo4vo Stratton Oakmont at one point employed over 1,000 stock brokers and was involved in stock issues totaling more than $1 billion, including being behind the initial public offering for footwear company Steve Madden. The firm was targeted by law enforcement officials throughout nearly its entire history, and its notoriety inspired the film Boiler Room (2000),[22] as well as the biopic The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).
Trailer is Cliff Notes for film, but I love the movie, which I thought was 100 times better than WALL STREET, THE FIRM, etc. Giovanni Ribisi deserved a star billing and proved it here.

Not really a prequel. Just too different sides of how the money was made. Boiler Room gave an insight to the broker side of things on the phones. Wolf of Wall Street gave the insight to what they did with their wealth after they took the money.
I think the wolf of wall street is much better, sorry, but, apart from that, obviously Leonardo did it better, I do not want to underestimate vin diesel, but in my opinion Leonardo is much better
A different side of things. Boiler Room showed the less glamorous part of what these "brokers" did in selling stocks for companies that didn't exist. Wolf of Wall Street showed what these "brokers" did after becoming millionaires off of selling the dummy stocks. To me, Boiler Room always had a better re-watch value because of the hipper cast.

We really need voice over trailers BACK!
Nah.
Back when Vin Diesel acted rather than just playing himself in every movie he gets

@@quakethedoombringer and Groot. Lol
That's not how he is in real life.... he not macho at all in real life lol. I was so disappointed
Haha now that's funny. Vin diesel act. Priceless!
@@quakethedoombringer awe dude, Riddick was a BAMF back in the day, though.
I didnt know that the movie wolf of wall street was released this early
This is the other side of the same story, the less glamorous side.
Don’t forget Wall Street came before this then the sequel
Seriously how tf did they release wolf of wall street and no one noticed it was a complete rip off of this?
@@stonedcoldchillerk7780 it’s not a rip off, it’s the story of Jordan beltfort’s life, it’s an auto biography, it wasn’t based off of this movie.
@@stonedcoldchillerk7780 This film was inspired by Jordan Belfort's real scam of pumping random penny stocks, not the other way around.
This is not trailer, this is summary
exactly i don't want to watch it now, I know what happens
@@seanmcsharry2004 Never watch trailers, they're not what they're supposed to be.
Crazy to see the sales scene without the Blue filter. Also, a glimpse of the original ending that didn’t make the cut (loaded gun).
Nice catch on the alternate ending with Harry. Never picked up on that before!
Back when vin diesel wasn’t groot
They just told the whole movie 😂
By the way, this film was inspired by a company named Sterling Foster that had a civil complaint by the SEC in 1997.
It’s actually based off of Jordan Belfort and his former company statton oakmont
@@jacoblyons6992 you are thinking of Wolf of Wall Street. The writer actually applied for an interview at one of these firms and was inspired then .

Money isn't the root of all evil but it certainly is one branch of the tree
Money is a tool, worship of money as an ultimate ideal (greed) is the evil.
You need to worship more than money. Some call that something God.
@@elektrotehnik94 i got cancer from reading your comment

It's the love of money that is the root of all evil.
Anyone who says that doesn’t have any.
If you like films about stockbrokers then you will dig this.
It worked for me that's how l got rich many years ago and re-tired at thirty nine.
Such a good movie. When it gets to the part where all the phones are laying on the floor is a big turning point.
A really good all star cast
Leo Dicaprio acting like Vin Diesel haha
That f355 spider tho

The Wolf of Wall Street prequel.... sort of.
Not really a prequel. Just too different sides of how the money was made. Boiler Room gave an insight to the broker side of things on the phones. Wolf of Wall Street gave the insight to what they did with their wealth after they took the money.
I used to watch this VHS every night
Wouldn’t be surprised if they said hey this was actually based off a news story about this guy Jordan Belfort lmao
Looks like a prequel to The Wolf Of Wall Street.....or a different version of.
Vin Diesel slaughtered his acting career by making so many Fast movies. So much talent could have been used else where
cant believe wolf of wall street completely ripped this movie off
considering wolf of wall street was the like of jordan belfort?
i mean they were both inspired by the book so....
well the truth is there were (and still are) numerous of these types of places
wut? Wolf of wall street was based on a true story.......... this isnt .
ermmm wolf of wall street was a true story buddy
Great film, but how has computing impacted trading? Bloomberg machines might be outdated now that there's iphones.
Damn Nicki Katt didn’t even get a mention at the end. The entire plot hinges on his character. Ben Affleck was only in 2 scenes and got a mention.
Katt wasn’t a recent Oscar winner, Affleck was.
It's just marketing. Big known name versus small relatively unknown name.

Wolf of Wallstreet inspo the original
Russilo pod sent me.
Wolf of Wall street completely ripped this movie off.... like scene for scene ... pathetic
It's more like Glengary Glen Ross junior, Ben Affleck is doing Alec Baldwin's scene from the aforementioned movie.
In the book Catching the wolf of wall street, Belford says this movie is from the perspective of one of his employees.
