Cazzi Opeia was one of the songwriters of "Tattoo", Loreen's winning song of Eurovision last year. Cazzi Opeia also co-wrote the winning song for American Song Contest 2022, as well as Jacqline's "Effortless". Cazzi Opeia has also written a lot of K-pop, for Red Velvet, Twice and BTS to name a few.
It's her 2nd time competing in Melodifestivalen as an artist, last time was in 2022 with the song "I Can't Get Enough".
You seem to like Melodifestivalen! I hope you continue to react to old Melodifestivalen songs, like the finalists from 2022, 2021, 2020 and so on! Returning artists are quite common, so you will start to recognize some people.
Swedes views Mello as a song contest and not as a freak show and takes the event seriously. We have arguably the best pop music songwriters and producers in the world and we love that type of music! The Scandinavians together with the Netherlands are the best in English (as a 2nd language) and the songwriters/producers wants to maximize💰so most songs are in English. Swedes are more engaged in Mello than in ESC and tends to vote for the song they like the most - not the entry that will have the best chance in ESC!
My favorite this year is Dotter but I predict M&M will win in a landslide (both juries and televotes).
You could be onto something with the prediction, many young people plus televotes loves M&M. Me personally tho, id rather see someone else win, but its a good song so u cant be mad at the swedish population if M&M go thru
