      Thank you Dr. Ekberg as I really enjoyed this morning briefing as it explained more of what other doctors, or health professionals have either intentionally, or unintentionally left this type of information out. I e received so much from your one week briefings in six months than I would say I learned from others in five years. Please keep up the excellent work sir! Lastly, can you address some of the health professionals that state even olive oil is bad for your arteries? I usually make my own salad dressing using a high quality olive oil along with balsamic dressing, so am I clogging my arteries, and veins?

      Well, food is also medicine. I've only been ill twice in the past 15 years (after a 15 year streak of not even getting a cold/flu once), but if I ever do get a cold or flu, I consume a load of extra virgin olive oil, raw garlic, raw onion, and lemon juice, it kills off any pathogenic viral or bacterial organisms within a day or two.

      MY favorite thing is his tendency to frame his advice in 2 tiers. TIER 1) is to STOP DOING whate he tells you to STOP DOING! Focus like a LAZER BEAM ON THAT. AFTER you have STOPPED DOING those things then Tier 2) comes into play. MOST FOLKS attempt to "negotiate." They look for the "broccoli flakes" to ADD to what they're doing hoping that will "make up for" those things they don't want to give up. IT WON'T and I enjoy the Dr's occasional reminders...

    Speaking if fasting and burning fat, Ijust completed my fifth day and feel great! Aching joints are completely gone, taming daily walks and feel like I am walking on pillows and every shred of irritated sinus, lung or other annoyances are gone. Oh, amd have gone from 216 pounds to 204. I have fasted long enough to know i will put some of that back on once I start eating. Plan it to hit 195, then stop fasting. I have my lettuce, sauerkraut, sardines and meats ready to go, eaten slowly in that order, over many hours to break fast.
    I plan on going minimum 7 days of fasting but might do my first 10 day.

    The understanding of “Fat” got off to a bad start with our own english vernacular. We unfortunately use that word when talking about essential fatty acids and also use the same word to describe size of overweight people.
    This word never had a chance for full understanding right off the starting block.

    the only thing that worries me about eating alot of fat is that i see what the butter and bacon greese does to my pipes in my sink and garbage disposal....and i would like someone to do a video giving some comfort knowing that if you eat alot of fat your arteries wont end of like your pipes...

    • @tigerspiritjourney
      @tigerspiritjourney 7 месяцев назад +9

      The temperature of metal pipes is very low compared to your normal body temperature of 37 degrees C. Think about it... 🤔That analogy is completely debunked.

    • @elizabethwhite1068
      @elizabethwhite1068 6 месяцев назад

      We are not bomb calorimeters, neither are our bodies built of metal or plastic pipes. Fats (from real food) are metabolized and broken down into energy and building blocks, starting with the bile in our stomachs. They aren't passing through us in the whole original form. Using an analogy to pipes has been nothing but a confusing disservice to humans, which convinced us that seed oils were good for us. It was a marketing scheme for seed oils, like demonizing cholesterol. Our bodies have no pathway to metabolize seed oils, they are not recognized as food or nutrition by our system. So the scary question is really, what happens to them in our system? One thing I noticed right away after switching to a real, whole food diet was I didn't feel greasy skin after eating fat. I always felt my skin become greasy a couple of hours after eating something like a piece of frozen fried chicken. Yet now I eat over 100 grams of fat from real food a day and never feel that greasy skin. So I think at least some of the seed oils are purged out of our pores. God knows what happens to the rest inside of us. Nothing good, that's for sure.

    This is regarding your video on OMAD vs 2MAD. You say OMAD is better but what if you have no gallbladder and you are 71+ and are losing muscle mass. Eating OMAD is hard on our system. 1 big meal or 2 smaller meals. Not 2 big meals. Some of us need extra protein. I'm losing muscle mass at 71. I need to eat more protein. If you eat more protein than your body needs at 1 sitting, then you've wasted some protein. If you eat smaller amts of protein 2x a day, then your body can use all the protein. And with smaller meals there should not be as high an insulin spike as there would be with 1 large meal.
