Hey, thanks for your video! I’m wintering in Baja and didn’t have a food processor. It worked in a blender! I made it with honey, agave syrup and Mexican vanilla. May not look pretty in white ice trays, but it worked! 1 cup nibs 1/2 cup honey Splash of agave 1 tsp vanilla Sea salt
This is awesome, thank you guys! There’s something in cacao I’ve been craving and eating too much dark chocolate as a result, so this helps me A LOT. Plus sprinkling cacao nibs on my oatmeal :-) Update: great success with a bag of around 100g leftover toasted cacao nibs and 2 tsp raw sugar (although it was still quite bitter so maybe a little more next time). It took around 7 mins with a pulse handheld device so I kept stopping so I didn’t burn out the motor but it was fine. I used a silicone ice cube tray managed to fill 6. I used nuts, and a sprinkle of coconut on the top. 👌
Wow!! Thank you friends for showing us how to make dark chocolate!! I had some cacao nibs and was looking for a recipe how to use cacao nibs! Thank you so very much! I am a new subscriber watching you from Ontario Canada.
Have you ever heard of a brain food? “Brain foods” are foods that release endorphins and serotonin in the brain, giving u a short burst of happiness and a long burst of satisfaction. Basically, its main benefits are what it does for you mentally rather than physically. The only time those benefits go away is when you overuse them.
Well what I’m gonna do is not add the sugar I don’t even add Stevia… when I put my chocolate in the Mold I’ll be making my own candy so I’ll put some nuts and some chopped up dates! I’ll see how it goes❤ that’s what sounds good to me instead of the sugar!!!!
Excuse me sirs, but can monkfruit sugar be used instead of regular sugar? This video was so interesting but I wondered if regular sugar could be replaced for those on special diets. Would appreciate much, and thank you for educational video! 🤗👏👏👍💖
For 1 lb of cacao nibs + 1 cup of sugar, you'd get approx 2 cups of liquid chocolate, after the processing's done? (correct me if i'm wrong) thanks for the vid can't wait to try to out :)
you are confusing how ratios work. 1 cup : 2 cups is the same as 33% : 66% (close to 70% as they round up) 50% : 50% would be 1 cup sugar and 1 cup nibs
@@nikolarandelovic The percentages are based on weight, NOT volume. If you don't have any kitchen scale, I highly recommend getting one. I have two digital scales: one for heavier items (medium precision) and one for light items (with high precision, hundredths of a gram). Measuring only by volume leads to errors and food waste.

Did you put oil or something on the ice trays for easy removal of the chocolate?

How to make chokolate with unroasted cacao nibs and what about to edd stervia instead of sugar
Very helpful. Thankyou.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much for all the info💜💜
Any time!
I'm trying this today! Thank you ❤️
Hope you like it!
The benefits just flew out the window when you added sugar
Chocolate has very powerful anti inflammatory properties... then they added a cup of sugar 😭
Benefits don't disappear.

Very Informative Video! Does this method require Tempering the chocolate, If so How is that Done ?
No this is a rustic, untempered. To temper one needs to melt it and then cool it to the desired temp.
Thanks for the vid
How much sugar for 85 % and can I use honey instead of sugar?
Can you do a video on how to make milk chocolate just from cacao nibs only
Great idea, thank you for the suggestion and we'll put it on our list.
@@WindHillGrowers sounds good thank you 👍
Question: may seem obvious, but do you have to continue to refrigerate it once done? I'm guess yes, but wanted to ask.
Thanks!
It will keep w/ out refrigeration, but it will melt if it gets too warm
Which food processor are you using?
Does it melt in room temperature? Thank you.
yes it does
is it alright if I use my blender?
What food processor is that? Mine was way to weak.. had it running for about 15 minutes
Teach me more from cocoa fermentation to grinding ♥️
Will do!
No double broiler?

Nice, but it's not healthy if it contains cane sugar.
With xylitol it would have been better.
Isnt 1 lb or 16 oz equals 2 cups. So 1 cup sugar and 2 cups nibs is 50-50 , not 70-30. Can you please correct me if I am wrong?
