If you are in the Netherlands dont forget to visit: - The Palace on the Dam (or paleis op de dam in Dutch) - De Wallen, aka the red light district - Coffeeshops - Madame Tussauds - Anne Frank's House - The Rijksmuseum (with world famous paintings from Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn) - Eat the best fries of the Netherlands at Manneke Pis - Try stroopwafels, kroketten, frikadellen and kapsalon Hope you enjoy my country's capital! 🤗
Amsterdam, is great, but its also good to travel around. I enjoyed Rotterdam, The Hague, and various other places, so it just proves, that there is more to The Netherlands than Amsterdam.
Wow calm the fuck down. I am actually a university student and judging from your unnecessary dumb and aggressive style of writing I'm also a lot smarter/mature than you. I know that the things I named are very touristy and that visiting a red light district is not for everyone. Of course Amsterdam and the Netherlands as a whole have a lot more to offer than the things I just named but I would personally still like to visit those places if I was a tourist. I was just trying to help people who are looking for some tips on (touristy) stuff to do in Amsterdam. I can't believe that you can seriously get angry at strangers in the comments of a travel channel on RUclips. Great way to spend your precious time! ✌👎
This is so bizarre. I was looking up Amsterdam flights just last night, and checked this channel to see if you had done an Amsterdam guide yet. It was one of those Twilight Zone moments when I saw this in my sub box.
I'm English and visit The Netherlands every summer, simply because, the Dutch people are friendly and welcoming, unlike certain other countries, but that's another matter.
WokAwAy why are all of your signs mainly in English and the smaller letters are in Dutch at the bottom? Usually it's the other way around I would assume
How widespread is the understanding of English in Amsterdam, or the Netherlands in general? Unfortunately, I don't speak Dutch, but I really want to visit.
Thanks guys - amazing as always! I too am just as excited about double decker trains! I put it down to the fact that the UK doesn't have tunnels big enough from the victorian age, so therefore no large trains have ever existed. Even now, since spending heaps of time in Tokyo and Australia, I'm still amazed by them!
I flew into DUS last week and took a train from right inside the airport to Cologne city centre. Double-decker train, punctual, clean, easy. I had massive train envy.
Actually the height of the double decker train isnt different than a single deck train, the lower compartment is actually on the same level as the wheels so your sitting in between them leaving enough space for another level.
Remie Löwik yep that's true, but London doesn't use wide body/large trains. They're much smaller trains in the first place. You can't even stand fully upright on side of the train because you'll hit your head.
As a Dutch guy born and raised in Amsterdam i know my city well. And i must say you guys did a incredible job by giving your public the right up to date basic information what you need to know and do if you want to visit amsterdam. Thank you for your guide.
This was astounding again, your travel videos are so unique and have so much effort gone into them. You've taken the time to create an informative and crisp looking video, this is the same with all your videos. These are truly astounding. I'm going to be watching Attache when it comes on to television channels, TV has to sign this stuff, thank you guys for entertaining and giving me information and interesting places.
I came across this channel in 2017 before my trip to China. But here I am 5 year later in Amsterdam this time and yet again looking at attaché! Excellent interesting helpful videos. This should be longer and on Netflix
Once again a great video. my wife and I have been following your videos. Barcelona, London, Paris have worked great for us. and now. Amsterdam here we go! Keep it up!
Welcome back! I've missed these guides, and it just so happens I'll be going to Amsterdam in May this year. You guys are easily one of the most under rated channels on RUclips.
I was in Amsterdam last year for a total of 4 hours and it was raining the whole time, but I still loved it! I desperately want to go this year back but for a longer time and hope the weather is better this time.
I have been following you for a while and I must say this review on Amsterdam was on point! And this comes from who actually lives in The Netherlands. Keep up the good work! 'Groetjes uit Nederland".
Perfect timing for this video with VidCon Europe coming in April! I'm so excited to visit Amsterdam for the first time, even if I won't have enough time to see and experience a lot of this stuff. It looks like such a beautiful city! 😍
Some really great info. here. I just returned from a week of vlogging in Amsterdam & totally agree about putting down the guide book and just letting the city inspire you. One of my favorite cities!
I lovvvved Amsterdam so much....my husband and I were there in May...such a clean beautiful city with very nice people...always smiling.....loved the Blue Boat canal tour and our bike rides....:)
Living in London, Amsterdam is around 50 minutes by air, so it is always my preferred destination for a short break, and I enjoy it every time I visit.
I just returned from my 2nd visit in less than a year. Amsterdam is my favorite city! Your video is informative and wonderfully infused with a good sprinkling of humor. My personal favorites are the 9 Streets area, the Jordaan - both quaint and filled with great shops and cafés and restaurants. This last trip I discovered the Oude Zuid area, around the Museum district and the Vondel Park. I highly recommend CoffeConcepts - a sweet and cozy café, on the corner of Van Eehchenstraat and Jacob Obrechtstraat. Truly THE best coffee I have ever experienced!
I love these. I cannot currently travel but these funny and well made videos of your surely give me a taste of a new place! I only wish you made these longer!!
Alex! Thank you for all the awesome tips in all your videos! Your Hong Kong video hooked me up and inspired me to visit. Every detail you described was so accurate that since then I trust your advice all the way. I've been to Amsterdam many times and you sum it up perfectly! I'll be visiting Shanghai next December and I'll, once again, follow your tips and hints :D Keep up with the awesome work inspiring and enlightening travelers!
Thank you very much for this video!! This is my first time on your channel, but believe! I became your fan! You give us an overview of what to do, or not in that amazing City. Congratulations guys! Excelent job.
Alex Hunter, thanks for a great review, thanks to you and Attaché we have just returned from Amsterdam where we had a great trip thanks to your advice! Brilliant channel love your videos!
Some tips from a native: Red light district - BananaBar Vondelpark Rijksmuseum And lots of other stuff. But If you can, avoid FEBO, by our standards its the worst. And take a one day trip if you have the time to Nijmegen, Utrecht or Den Haag. It wont cost much
Hey I'll be traveling to Amsterdam and wondering how many nights I should stay there. Would 4 nights be enough? Some people say Amsterdam is good for 2 days worth of traveling. And how long works it take to go to Den Haag?
Love this Channel !! I always watch your videos before travelling to new cities. Your videos on Paris, Hong Kong, Barcelona, Mumbai & Dubai were very helpful for me. Make a video on Melbourne ... I will be studying abroad there next month.
Dear Attaché, Thank you for sharing such a great tour of the city of Amsterdam. As part an academic assignment (BOK), I have been assigned to send you constructive feedback in regards of the tour you created. I did enjoy your 10-minute tour about the city of Amsterdam. It really gives the tourists an overall insight on how to prepare themselves before heading to Amsterdam. The instructions about transportation are quite conceive and clear. This does not leave any room for confusion. The content about Dutch food is relevant. Though, I would not take some of these examples so as to avoid common stereotypes that may lead to the loss of authenticity in regards of Dutch food trends. I would suggest you on adding the following items to your tour: • Storytelling: a bit more historical content would not be too much • Sustainability: include some trends or themes related to the 3P’s (People, Profit, Planet) I hope the latter feedback/ideas will help you enhancing the quality of your tour. Best regards, Simon, Van Roost
Thanks Simon, I always appreciate constructive feedback. Great tips. In some episodes (Beirut, Los Angeles, Cape Town, etc) we do some historical/cultural content but we don't always have the time on a shoot. Also, and this is interesting to me, some of our audience don't like us deviating from our transport/food/money format so we've been working on a hybrid format which tries to capture both. But thanks again for the feedback, greatly appreciated.
I've had the good fortune to visit Amsterdam twice and love the city. Some things that are really cool: - He mentions Indonesian restaurants and there is a meal that you can order called a "rijsttafel" (rice table) and this is usually best shared with a couple of other people. It's sort of like getting 40 dim sum plates all at once but it is delicious! - The Rijksmuseum with the Rembrandt and other artists is really coll but my favorite was the VAN GOGH Museum. an incredible experience. - You can actually goo to some of the diamond shops and they will give you tours and demonstrations of cutting and preparing diamonds. Of course, they will try to get you to buy something but that is optional. - In addition to the occasional pickpockets you should be prepared to deal with the street people and heroin addicts who can be a bit aggressive about asking you for money. This doesn't happen a lot but you should be aware nonetheless.
I visited Amsterdam over the summer with my family. It really is an amazing place. I highly recommend Restaurant Blauw if you are looking for an Indonesian meal. It is a little pricy, but it is amazing! Awesome video, keep it up!
,good good video, made me laugh out loud a couple times ..."if you are a good swimmer feel free to navigate the city by canal" "nothing says I love you like raw herring" just love your sense of humor and jokes with your cameraman.
You've missed a fantastic bar off the beaten track called Bar-B - we found it on our first visit and we've been back to it each time we've been to Amsterdam - They serve great burgers, beer and desserts! Well worth finding!
GREAT video. You covered the transportation and food in depth. What I wish, though, is for you to talk more about those "off the tourist trek" places in the city and some of the neighborhoods.
More videos please! Everyone on your team lets us explore the world, and we appreciate it! As for the community let me know of any South East Asia videos. I'm desperate for Vietnam & Thailand & Mali.
THANK YOU for not joking about coffeeshops and not pointing to the red lights district. What you showed actually look like real Amsterdam! One tip: go to Westerpark, sit on some terrace (Westergasterrace is my favourite), try to spot a bunny in a grass, walk around to the north - there's a lovely district and unusual shopping street named Haarlemmerdijk
I miss Amsterdam so much. I can’t wait to walk out of Centraal station again and see that view 💜
I am from Amsterdam and I found this one of the best videos I have seen about Amsterdam, great job!
If you are in the Netherlands dont forget to visit:
- The Palace on the Dam (or paleis op de dam in Dutch)
- De Wallen, aka the red light district
- Coffeeshops
- Madame Tussauds
- Anne Frank's House
- The Rijksmuseum (with world famous paintings from Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn)
- Eat the best fries of the Netherlands at Manneke Pis
- Try stroopwafels, kroketten, frikadellen and kapsalon
Hope you enjoy my country's capital! 🤗
Sharyn Spanjer I wanna go :3
Amsterdam, is great, but its also good to travel around. I enjoyed Rotterdam, The Hague, and various other places, so it just proves, that there is more to The Netherlands than Amsterdam.
Welja, stuur ze allemaal maar hierheen...want in Amsterdam hebben we niet al genoeg toeristen -_-
Wow calm the fuck down. I am actually a university student and judging from your unnecessary dumb and aggressive style of writing I'm also a lot smarter/mature than you. I know that the things I named are very touristy and that visiting a red light district is not for everyone. Sharyn Spanjer exactly
Been to NL 3 times to explore cities beyond Amsterdam. One of my favorite cities, and something about NL just feels like home.
This is so bizarre. I was looking up Amsterdam flights just last night, and checked this channel to see if you had done an Amsterdam guide yet. It was one of those Twilight Zone moments when I saw this in my sub box.
Have a nice trip!
have you noticed your advertisement changes according to what you search at times? it's on purpose, a business scheme
Same Pinch! ;)
Tre B
Tre B and u planned an trip to Amsterdam ?
This is probably one of the best brief videos of Amsterdam. Pretty accurate, Good job!
Why am I watching this.. I'm dutch and I've been to Amsterdam numerous times..
I'm English and visit The Netherlands every summer, simply because, the Dutch people are friendly and welcoming, unlike certain other countries, but that's another matter.
Robert Mansfield thats so kind of you!
Don't worry, literally everyone speaks english here
Some people get excited for the new Sherlock series... I get excited for a new episode of Attaché.
Born and raised amsterdam local and this guide is one of the best so far!
Joe Allam I never knew double-deckered trains ever existed lol. Genius idea
I flew into DUS last week and took a train from right inside the airport to Cologne city centre. Double-decker train, punctual, clean, easy. I had massive train envy.
Recently in Paris and guess what? Took the double-decker train several times. Awesome!
I love the approach you guys took for this video for Amsterdam. More fun and cheeky! :D
it costs 4.20 euros to get into Amsterdam. did they do that on purpose?
Bryce Fitzgerald my thoughts exactly!
Its not that expensive try New York City youl blow your wallet before you enter Manhattan .
Maybe Cali did it on purpose. 420 is a magic number. The magic number of cents to enter Amsterdam.
It can be as much as $15. And then you have tolls within New York.
Bryce Fitzgerald I don’t get it.
I'm going to be watching Attache when it comes on to television channels, TV has to sign this stuff, thank you guys for entertaining and giving me information and interesting places.
I loved the little "Focker" - One more note, it's funny :)
Keep it up!

Welcome, you'll meet a lot of mixed Dutch - Indonesian people too in Holland.
I've had the good fortune to visit Amsterdam twice and love the city. Some things that are really cool:

You are back! Great!!
Just back from a weekend trip ! It was Amazing !
Great video, love the cinematography!
Great content!!! Can't wait for your next one!!
I visited Amsterdam over the summer with my family. It really is an amazing place. I highly recommend Restaurant Blauw if you are looking for an Indonesian meal. It is a little pricy, but it is amazing! Awesome video, keep it up!
The street food is highly recommended, and the Dutch apple pie. More apple than pastry.
,good good video, made me laugh out loud a couple times
..."if you are a good swimmer feel free to navigate the city by canal" "nothing says I love you like raw herring" just love your sense of humor and jokes with your cameraman.
You've missed a fantastic bar off the beaten track called Bar-B - we found it on our first visit and we've been back to it each time we've been to Amsterdam - They serve great burgers, beer and desserts! Well worth finding!
I am preparing my trip to Amsterdam and I found this video very informative and funny. TK
I always enjoy your video! Thank you for the great work.
That was the funniest travel video I've watched. Hilarious ! Thanks for the laugh, and info :)
Admittedly, I get excited about double decker trains and just about everything else about the Netherlands!
That haring is just like our Swedish "sill" that we eat at christmas, easter and "midsommarafton". I try´d it when i was there and i really like´d it.
I love Attaché
Thanks Vikas!
GREAT video. You covered the transportation and food in depth. What I wish, though, is for you to talk more about those "off the tourist trek" places in the city and some of the neighborhoods.
Well for such a small channel you've got some real quality content, I just wish there was more!
Great job on production quality. Really looking forward to a Switzerland episode, please.
More videos please! Everyone on your team lets us explore the world, and we appreciate it! As for the community let me know of any South East Asia videos. I'm desperate for Vietnam & Thailand & Mali.
Great job as always, keep it up,I love these videos when they come out❤️👌🏻😁
best tourist vid on amsterdam. thank you
THANK YOU for not joking about coffeeshops and not pointing to the red lights district. What you showed actually look like real Amsterdam! One tip: go to Westerpark, sit on some terrace (Westergasterrace is my favourite), try to spot a bunny in a grass, walk around to the north - there's a lovely district and unusual shopping street named Haarlemmerdijk
TIP! If you would like to discover the culture through delisious food there is also a free food tour in Amsterdam that is tip based.👍
can you tell me where exactly?😁
