The vesper martini is the extra dirty martini’s cool younger sister. She’s sleek. She’s sassy. Yet subtle, and delicately sweet. She’s got gin, vodka, and lillet, with a lemon twist.
And on a personal note, she’s my go-to martini. If you are someone who doesn’t necessarily love gin (me), the 50/50 vodka-gin ratio helps mellow out the sometimes overpowering botanicals in gin, still giving you a spirit-forward cocktail a that’s step beyond a super citrusy gin mixed cocktail.
