I love the old school courses.
The first hole Humpty dumpty, very classic obstacle, originally, there likely would have been a wooden gate in the middle going up and down
My GF and I played this one back in the mid-1980's, out on, or near, Patterson avenue in the West End of Henrico, IIRC. One of the few left in the Richmond area (at that time) that was not a Putt-Putt franchise. Hole #2, Humpty Dumpty used rock back and forth, and a door underneath would temporarily block a straight shot through. I am surprised the props are still intact after all these years! The Giraffe was what caught your eye driving by, and got people curious enough to check it out.

This is a really big course!! Looks cool!!
The guy who originally owned this course had another location on Midlothian Turnpike on the southside of Richmond until the early 80's. It was an awesome course, but I believe Putt Putt (closer towards the Richmond border) hurt the mini golf course because it built a huge arcade (which expanded again in the late 80s.) It also had two course and was really nice. The score cards on Patterson still had the old Midlothian location listed until the late 90s. As you can probably tell, the Patterson location made several holes shorter and easier due to the difficulty. I haven't been there in 2 years, but really miss the course. BTW, my dad was friends with the owner so we would get free game passes. Not what it used to be, but still a great place for mini golf.

I like this better than most old school courses. The "landing areas" by the hole are generally large enough that your second shot is not a gimme every time, so you still need skill. It seems like most old school style courses are basically "Hope you get lucky on your first shot, and if not, take your 2." since the first shot is not exactly easily reproducible like on a true Putt Putt style, but also, no matter how bad your first shot is, the ball will likely be within 4 feet of the hole every time. But this one made you work for your 2s.

I was at the course last Veteran's day weekend. They were replacing the carpet on the course you played.
Interesting older course. I liked all of the obstacles... Kind of reminds me of a course in Ruidoso New Mexico when I was a kid! The course had a "Volcano" hole that was around 4 feet tall...it was an extremely difficult hole! I don't even know if it's still there, since I last saw the course in the 1980's!
Always enjoy the videos and the fun game play, but you should do a mid game update to get a little more competitive.

Okay who out there was not looking at *Dino's* putt on Hole#11; I will admit it; pretty random having him face that direction. So weird seeing an *elevated* tee box, sure the ball came off it strangely. I think this might have breen first time we have seen someone come up to you when were filming, I guess they were *_Starstuck._*

Elisha's short putting game (within six feet) has improved out of site since the start of this channel. 5 to six feet putts in golf are the yip putts that even professional golfers dread.
