Just completed phantom Liberty on both endings and let me tell you: they hit hard af. CDProjektRed is the only studio which makes dlcs like this. The entire story, atmosphere, idea and execution are just impeccable. I haven’t been so immersed into video game for a long time already. Cyberpunk2077 has risen from the ashes like a gorgeous phoenix and now it’s the game which should’ve been since the start. If you hesitate to play Phantom Liberty - don’t be. You will enjoy it, I promise you.
100% THIS. The immersion with this dlc was on another level every time I was on a mission I literally felt like I was right there, when you leave two characters they start talking to themselves like they would in real life, in the party mission you're encouraged to get lost and meet a lot of people, see the lizzzy wizzy concert, and that's just part of it, I didn't loved the forced first person at first but after this dlc I can't think how cyberpunk would work in 3rd person, it's just so good this way.
25 years playing video games, I started playing cyberpunk in this dlc and the experience is wonderful, it is one of those games that stay in your memory.
I remember loading up my save to do the ending where I hand over Songbird and I literally couldn't do it I felt so bad. Yeah it sucked, she fooled us but in a way she reminded me of V doing everything possible to save herself from the Blackwall and the NUSA. We don't even know if V ever got his canon 'good' ending but helping Songbird at least made me feel fulfilled because I know for sure that she can get cured unlike V where everything is a possibility.

last of us looks better. I just launched cyberpunk after last of us and immediately see simpler details, simpler cars, cities. There are problems with the light even at maximum rtx
People will eternally talk shit about this game, but it provided me with a completely epic experience. I have several really great memories from this game. Diving to the underwater town with Judy, that whole friendship feels like a real fucking friendship somehow. I almost feel like I could call her on the phone IRL. So many good memories. The heist with Jackie and getting the Relic. Being betrayed by Dex Deshaun and the anticlimatic satisfaction of hunting him down. I have a memory of fighting, being killed by, hiding and running from Adam Smasher, and the memory of FINALLY ending that two story tall overgrown wannabe terminator with a charged shot from a razor sharp fully-upgraded jinchu-maru sword. I had that memory to call on when I watched the Edgerunner show, remembering what I did to that bastard with a katana sure felt satisfying at the end. And now having just finished Phantom Liberty, I feel like I just closed the book on an amazing, fulfilling story. They nailed finding the human element in this game, launch issues or not. I was lucky, I skipped the entire launch day disaster and I avoided all the hype. I didn't even know Keanu Reeves had a starring role in the game until after I saw him appear in game. So maybe I had an advantage. Still, epic memory +
Phantom Liberty just came out theres one more gb left for the download to complete and already know I'm gonna come back years later to watch this masterpiece of a trailer to remember the good memories.
Been loving the 2.0 update with Overdrive mode. Playing it on a G-sync module monitor at 4K DLSS quality with ray reconstruction is nutty in terms of raw picture quality. Got the expansion pack preordered and can't wait to sink more hours into this world. Congrats to everyone who worked on this game, it's been a fun ride.
I made the mistake of not taking the advice and trying to beat the players at their own game, you can’t fight the system, that’s for sure. But you can sure as hell settle things on your own terms, not theirs.
the fact that every time the relic starts hurting V, V calls out to johnny even tho he's pretty much the cause of it but V just sees johnny as the only one who truly understands V's pain and is in it with V. it's kinda wholesome. also if u think about it deeply Yorinobu is literally the only "Hero/protagonist" in this story because he's the only one who's ACTUALLY trying to do something for the greater good not himself. (according to the game's story only, idk much about the entire lore of cyberpunk tho)
I loved this game at launch even with the problems it had and knew that one day it would be recognized as one of the greatest games ever made. God bless you CDPR, can't wait to dive into the end of Cyberpunk!
Thank you for everything CDPR. Thank you for not stopping after having a bad start with your biggest project a few years ago, after being hacked and hated. cyberpunk finally did it, fixed the games gameplay a lot and added a DLC with improved story, mechanics and more than the base game. As far as my friends have described and content creators have, this game just might be the game we expected on release 3 years ago. With decisions mattering, intense story and plot breaking choices.
The base game has an amazing story and once they fixed the bugs was an amazing game. Then 2.0 was released and (and I'm not kidding when I say this) they fixed _every single problem_ I had with the base game. Every single one. In my opinion they took the amazing game who's potential was wasted on release and made it into the best version of itself
@evolicious keep crying. Cyberpunk77 is literally one of the best games ever. The story is unmatched by how city and the charcters are the dialauge is so smart that you think in the way the charcter said the centence and how he looked when he said it. Thay trick you they believe in you they beg you and you decide if they are honest.
Phantom Liberty is breathtaking! After 600 hours in the already amazing main game this new area/story is really the topping on the cake. This dark and tense atmosphere of Dogtown paired with the insane good soundtrack is a perfect expansion to the Game! Thanks CDPR ❤🙂
This game is such a thrill. I loved it back then and still do. I can't wait to get into it again. I'm terrified of what the end looks like. What will happen to V and Johnny? Both are tough so let's wait and see.
The DLC doesn't take place after the events of the base game or replace the base game's final missions, so the end is still the same unless you make certain choices in the DLC missions that unlock a new ending.
You maybe know if i can go insteand in Liberty city cause i played cyberpunk 2 times to the end and then deinstall dont wanna play all the game just for the DLC again is it possible to just hop in?
Salute to all of us that bought it years ago, played it, saw the patches go through, told folks about it who scoffed, i feel we apprecite it more. kudos to CDPR for sticking with it and making it what it was meant to be. amazing trailer. who else started over with 2.0?
I stayed up till midnight on Dec 10th and was so engrossed by the story, characters, and world. But was so disappointed with playing it on Xbox One X having so many framerate issues and crashes. I still loved most of the game, especially the characters, but I bought a Series X a month later just to play it. Seeing the wording a lot of these bigger review channels are using for describing the game before this DLC you'd think the game was unplayable until Update 2.0 lol
Played and stuck with this game since it first launched. Had a blast and loved playing it even when the game was at its most unstable period. Put so many hours into this game in both the PS4 version and currently the PC version. The fun glitches, experienced one hilarious game-breaking bug, pretty much saw and witnessed it all LOL! About to buy the expansion as we speak. 👍
Tomasz is one of the lesser known entities of CDPR’s circle, and I think that’s why his work sticks out so well. He’s the kind of entity where he doesn’t have expectations to live up to, or a reputation to keep. Rather he puts his full heart and mind towards developing his stories.

This expansion would easily be one of the best gaming experiences by itself. I still hope we will have a huge and complex open-world section just as Night City was in the next Cyberpunk game.
That's what a great trailer is all about. Beautiful picture, great voice acting, a story to unfold, and no fucking useless "boom swoosh" sound effect. Good job CDPR!
Im excited for Cyberpunk 2077 full release! To all the developers who put in hard work for us to create an amazing world with phenomenal characters, thank you and sorry that the real world Corpos pushed this game to come out when it needed more time. To the rest of the TRUE CHOOMS who stuck this out! Much Love! And see you in night city!!!!
Just finished it. Everyone I know is either dead, has betrayed me, or hates me and wants me dead. But I think I made the right choices and my conscience is clear.
Even the rest of the game hits different after your character completes this expansion. The beauty about it, isn’t so much the story, but the characters are so well written.
Just finished the main story, I loved the game at launch and love it even more now. 2.0 and Phantom Liberty make the game worth replaying several times. Aguilar was a real highlight for me, they were the MVP in the dlc’s story.
Great work on the dlc. It was like playing a game and a movie at the same time. Especially when you go with Songbird and rocket her to the moon. But just played the other side too and that too was amazing experience. A bit of Dead Space or System Shock 2 feeling in the end.
Best dlc I've ever played. It's enough that cyberpunk is already one of my favorite video games and phantom liberty is just gives me so much more to the game I already love dear.

Shout out to all the chooms at CDPR for making the comeback a reality. The strategy was sound and I wish them all success in future projects.

i just finished the dlc, don’t fuck, this is a masterpiece.

"Blaze way down the rebel path"
the fact that every time the relic starts hurting V, V calls out to johnny even tho he's pretty much the cause of it but V just sees johnny as the only one who truly understands V's pain and is in it with V. it's kinda wholesome.
also if u think about it deeply Yorinobu is literally the only "Hero/protagonist" in this story because he's the only one who's ACTUALLY trying to do something for the greater good not himself. (according to the game's story only, idk much about the entire lore of cyberpunk tho)
I’ve been playing and loved this game since day one and I can’t wait to jump into Phantom Liberty :)

cyberpunk finally did it, fixed the games gameplay a lot and added a DLC with improved story, mechanics and more than the base game. As far as my friends have described and content creators have, this game just might be the game we expected on release 3 years ago. With decisions mattering, intense story and plot breaking choices.
They fixed very little and only half-finished this garbage tech demo of a game.
The base game has an amazing story and once they fixed the bugs was an amazing game. Then 2.0 was released and (and I'm not kidding when I say this) they fixed _every single problem_ I had with the base game. Every single one. The DLC doesn't take place after the events of the base game or replace the base game's final missions, so the end is still the same unless you make certain choices in the DLC missions that unlock a new ending.

We saw what it could be and we were right. Happy playing choom 👍🏽
Indeed!!!
No gta will ever reach the level of phantom liberty's greatness, the expansion of all time for the game of all time!
I gotta admit as far as writing and story goes, Cyberpunk is miles ahead of GTA whoever the writer is for this KEEP HIM!
Tomasz is one of the lesser known entities of CDPR’s circle, and I think that’s why his work sticks out so well. He’s the kind of entity where he doesn’t have expectations to live up to, or a reputation to keep. Rather he puts his full heart and mind towards developing his stories.
