Enjoyed watching your podcast. Knitting is addictive, Chicago needles are great. Have fun exploring new things ❤
Thank you! I agree with everything you’ve said! Hopefully I can have podcasts up every 2 weeks!
Awesome video! You are very talented. We all make knitting mistakes, but you habe a lot of courage to not give up on those projects. Can’t wait to watch the next podcast episode!
Thank you!! 💕 I hope it have the next podcast out soon! I’ll have a new video this weekend for sure!
I made a bunch of knitted and felted pumpkins last year. They are very cute!
I bet!
I really enjoyed the content of your video. I love seeing what others are making and seeing their progress, their successes and the ooopsies. I have a suggestion, if you turn around so you are facing the window and the light is shining on your face instead of behind you, your face and your work won’t be in shadow. That will make it ever so much easier to see your face and your work. ❤
Thank you! Yes, I have corrected the lighting for future videos, i didn’t realize at the time for back lit I was unfortunately. My other video is much better lighting as well as episode 3, coming out Friday 😊
Congrats on your first hand dyed skein!! Beware. It’s addictive lol.
Thanks! So I’ve heard! I think that’s why I’ve waited so long 😂
@@elysssjoy The best advice I can give you there is to be intentional on your purchases. Try and buy for a project not just because it’s pretty. Otherwise you will end up with more single skeins of sock yarn that a person can possibly knit as actual socks lol
@@Ambymarieknits hahaha that’s a great point! I’m thankfully I’m 1 sock down and I can affirmatively say I really enjoyed it! So hopefully I can keep up with my sock yarn dreams 😂
🧶🧦 Your sock design is wonderful! I’m sorry it didn’t fit. Next attempt will be great! Thanks for the fun podcast. ❤
Thank you! I’m hoping it will too!
You are doing so well ,everyone gets it wrong at sometime, happy knitting x
Thank you Sue ❤️ and that’s very true!
I knit lots of colourwork socks + my first ones were exactly the same as yours. Top tips, leave up to 7 stitches between floats, turn your work inside out + knit. Also if you have a tight gauge go up a needle size for the colourwork. Good luck!
Thanks Sue! I will definitely try these!
Also another tip on yarn buying, woolwarehouse here in England ship to America + Canada at a very cheap rate. Lots of ppl across the pond are useing them now. Their drops range is fabulous + I swear by the drops kid silk + even cheaper than that the brushed alpaca silk. So much nicer than the hobbi diabolo + Rebecca has used it quite a lot.
Yes! I’ve been meaning to check them out and now I have too! Hopefully I’ll have more in my next podcast or two!
@@elysssjoy If you sign up for their newsletter they will inform you when the drops sale is. They put the mohair + alpaca a lot cheaper + its the best time to buy it.
@@sueaxon3688 awesome! I’ll have to sign up right now! Thank you so much, Sue! Your insight is MUCH appreciated!
What if you turn that sock into a glove or mitten of some sort?
Didn’t that of that! Maybe, but I’m determined to figure it out as I really would love these as socks!
I can barely see you or your projects which is unfortunate as I like your style.
Thank you, I think youtube is still processing the 4K, if you come back tomorrow it should be much better!
The quality should be much better now! I hope you can enjoy the video!
@@elysssjoy That may be so, but I think the bright light from the window next to you, with the snowy scene outside, is making the indoor part really dark.
@@Jennie8684 i agree, I’m making adjustments for my next videos to have much better lighting, I was too back lit and my artificial light I added wasn’t as bright as I had hoped. The next one will be better!
