I was at Thomann in Treppendorf about 2 months ago, and wanted to see if the Chapman hype is justified. And ... yes, it is. I played a Bea Baritone (presumably that very guitar in the video), and it really is a _fantastic_ guitar. I also played around with the other Chapmans on display, and with the exception of the standard Ghost Fret (which probably just needed a setup), they were all really really good. I ended up buying a ML3 Modern V2.
Got my first Chapman 2 weeks ago.. ML3 Pro Modern. It is a beaut
This demo shows one crucial flaw with these guitars....
No matter how great they are, the only person who will sound like Rebea is the man himself.
It's not a flaw in the guitars is just a fact in music. It's like saying you can't sound like srv when you play through a fender no one can sound the artists except themselves

Thanks for another great video. I am 64 and have recently started learning guitar. Honestly, every time I watch one of your videos, I am inspired to pick up my guitar for a practice session. As a beginner I know I sound nothing like you, but I can dream, can't I?
I think it is a pretty good upgrade from the original Bea sig. Having that single coil sized humbucker just makes the whole thing seem so much more versatile.
By far my favourite of the Chapman guitars. Love the fat neck!
This will be the first year I'm attending the NAMM show and honestly new chapman stuff is what I'm most hyped for!

can you please tell me if the bea model is heavy at the neck like the standard serirs ml3? I really want one but am not a fan of the neck dive. I am in need of a baritone guitar and if the bea is a bit more balanced then I'll be ordering one

i have played acoustic guitar for 20 years and have recently bought a player strat and a boss Amp 100/212. Any advice for learning to let the guitar make the sound? i'm in a habit of trying to drag every note out the guitar instead of letting the amp do it.. also my bends sound terrible :(

Still think 28 inches are way too much for Drop A, that baritone is more for an Architects type of tuning
I don't agree with that. In the studio I found that everything B standard or lower works pretty well for 28 inch. The tightness of the strings makes it work a lot better for tight playing. Even had one in Drop B for a recording and really liked it. Makes sure you can put some lighter strings on it (i prefer 10-52)
The amp/drive on this is f’n apalling. Love the guitar though.
That pickup selector needs some work.
Can someone enlighten me on Baritones please. What besides the scale length makes it so different. I know people love them but have no clue.

The extended scale length allows for (easier ) lower tunings.
There really ISN'T much beyond the scale length but that's what people like them for. You can tune as low as an 8 string without sacrificing string tension or having to deal with a massive neck. If you aren't tuning lower than Drop B then a baritone may not do much for you.
Nowt thats purely it, allows you to have a much lower tuning without thick ass strings, easier intonation and tuning stability.

i have not ordered from Thomann, but for the guitars themselves, i have one and its really good.
@Goosecore I hope so my friend. I find Rabea the most inspiring Guitarist from the young artists. I would like to be able to write music like his and I love the sound of him. I understand that he mainly use bareknucles and I want in some point to buy his signature guitar equipped with them... I am a huge fan of mr Chapman and Bea songwriting but I value my hard earned money too

I think Bea used Bare Knuckle and Seymour Duncan a while back. I think all Chapman guitars are equipped with Chapman pickups these days.
