I have this problem, it takes 3 or more boots for the hdmi to get a signal. I've reinstalled windows removed legacy like you said but it still takes 3 boots to see the logo. 16gb ram Radeon rx 550. I'm a bit stumped. Any ideas? Thanx.

So question. I have an Optiplex. I have onboard graphics and a graphics card. I’ve tried both hdmi and vga ports. My display lasts until the Dell boot screen goes off and then the GUI lasts 3 seconds before it cuts off. I have to unplug and plug the video cord back in to get 3-5 more seconds. I tried Ubuntu and it did the same. Do I need to try a fresh install of windows or is it a bad spot on the motherboard?

you need to have the display cable put into the the Graphics card not the mother board when using a graphics card

@@TattsForLife I’ve tried both ways. Both without and with graphics card and on both graphics card and onboard graphics.

Wouldn’t know how to start fixing a computer, so I just chunk them in the trash! Seems they were raped with so many viruses! I went to iPhones couple time last few years and was able to do everything I needed to accomplish on them! iPhone 11 two years now and still trucking! Video fix was interesting!
