When in Japan, you need to be able to fight the impulse to buy everything if you are into that culture. I would easily go broke if I went which is why I haven't visited yet. And now with everything the way it is, it will be a bit before I will be able to.
I have watched a tonne of Japan “gamer” vlogs and none have made me want to visit as much as this did. It was also great seeing another side of you, you seem way more chilled out and zen in this video. That’s not to say I don’t love true energy you usually bring to the table in your videos though. Thanks for all the great content you create.
I was in Japan around the same time as you, last October. I rewatch these videos at least once a month to relive it. I miss it so much, and I can just tell in the way you talk about it how it had a profound effect on you as well. Hope you can return soon!
Be sure to hit up the “book off” and “hard off” stores (yes that’s their real store names) for more competitive prices on the slightly rare second hand stuff, especially late model switch items. Akihabara is notoriously higher in price since it’s a tourist area, so I’d also recommend Surugaya in Shinjuku for really great finds and slightly lower prices. You’ll think you’re going into a regular department store, but you’ll pop out of the escalator into a really great retro shop. There’s modern stuff as well. Don’t forget a lot of places are tax free with your passport.
Ahh this was so cool! Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I feel like I would walk away from this place completely broke. So much cool stuff. And Kim has great taste. I love the little digimon figure!

Stumbled upon this video randomly; thanks for sharing your experience, glad that you enjoyed it. Just wanted to add, if you're making a trip all the way to Japan and you're a gaming channel, you gotta make a plan and hit up more locations for Hard-Offs, Book-offs, Mandarake, Surugaya, etc. You have to go to Osaka or much deeper in the south for the sweet deals, a third of the cost. Its very easy for a tourist to get caught up in the moment and drop $ on games that are marked up 20% more than ebay prices.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I am part Japanese and have never been to Japan. My son and I have been planing to go at some point, this is certainly getting us hyped more to go, eventually. Thanks Wood!
Hi wood just wanna say this series really is wonderful i keep goin back to it become it gives me a homely feeling dont know why especially now that we cant travel this was so awesome . Keep going strong man

I perfectly understand how you feel! When I see all the retro stuff you were holding, I feel like crying! Thanks for this crazily fun video! It really brightens up my day a whole lot! Can't wait for your next few videos. The more the better!
I just came back from Japan and got some great deals. Especially from the Book Off stores. Almost half the price from regular stores. Prices are hit and miss on some things. Overall I had a good time. Love the video.
