I heard this song in Coal Miners Daughter. My Daddy born in 1919 said this was how news got around back then. What a beautiful Mama and her children. Loretta Lynn was an American treasure and original as they come. I miss her deeply. She was a real lady. I hope her family knows how she inspired women everywhere!

Lynn was born Loretta Webb in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, on April 14, 1932.[3][4] She was the oldest daughter and second child born to Clara Marie "Clary" (née Ramey; May 5, 1912 - November 24, 1981) and Melvin Theodore "Ted" Webb (June 6, 1906 - February 22, 1959). Ted was a coal miner and subsistence farmer.[5] The family claims Cherokee heritage but they are not recognized by or members of a tribe.[6] She was named after the film star Loretta Young.[7]

Both she and Loretta were. Crystal was lucky enough to come along when fashion and beauty industry had evolved. Loretta had a beautiful face and smile, but she didn't favor her mom as much as did Crystal.

Ted never got to see his "Loretty" sing on stage. He passed away in 1959. Loretta didn't start singing on stage until 1961. Clare, however, didn't pass away until 1981, at the age of 69. After Ted passed, Clare married Thomas Butcher.
She is now in heaven with conway and George and tammy and Patsy 🎉

Her last name isn't Butcher. Miss Clara's maiden name is Ramy and, of course her married name is Webb. Maybe he got it mixed up with Butcher Hollow.
She remarried. Her second husband was Thomas Butcher.

Ernest ray lynn accepted our hard earned family property left to him by
our poor crazy cousin of ours who was adopted he thought loretta lynn
was his actual mother. he also thought jose canceco was his actual
brother. Jose didnt accept the property but ernest ray sure did. Ernenst
jr please kindly return the property to its right full hiers. Make your
mama and daddy proud. We are a hardworking farming family our parents
and grand parents worked so hard. Shame on you until you return our
