U can put a turbocharger or supercharger on your engine if u want more hp. Turbocharger is better because it's not actual hooked onto your engine like a supercharger is so it'll never damage your engine

I like Camry better styling, I'd take the Avalon over it fell in loved with the Avalon at first thought was just boring now a nice car for the money but still want the regular Avalon instead TRD version did like on second generation Tundra having colored rear bumpers both of these cars are great for the money.
At low speed, no spoilers work. FWD cars need rear spoilers more than RWD, due to front heavy weight bias. Everyone wants to get close to 50/50, and rear where FWD cars need more downforce at high speeds. Don't get torque steer / wheel spin on power confused with aerodynamic downforce please.
Toyota believes that the new Avalon is for those who believe that 60 is the new 40. The TRD version is apparently feel that 60 is the new 36. :) As for the Camry, the current generation was already a vast improvement over its predecessors. The TRD version only adds to that.
I still think the Avalon looks better but if but the Camry. Simply put I like the lighter car. I also can't stand sun roofs and the TRD Camry doesn't have one.
I like the Avalon TRD but at $12000 more than the Camry TRD, it's pushing really close to the ES350 price. Lexus actually has better incentives so you're probably not going to pay more than $1000-$2000 more for an ES350 F-Sport!

That V6 makes 300 plus hp at 6600 rpm. You guys didn’t appear to go anyplace near the limits in the video but still complain about the power. Do we really want significantly more power through the front wheels? A limited slip diff and better steering? I’d understand that, but shouldn’t we first test the stiffer chassis, better brakes, lighter wheels and all of the normally aspirated power that we have? You can’t just say, “oh it’s a Camry,” and just ease up.
For the road test you guys used a clip of two camry's the red and a black Camry. It wasn't an Avalon. I'm sure you reviewed the Avalon as well but the clip was a black Camry.

If youre already buying a camry or avalon, sure get the trd. If youre in the market for a sports sedan. Get something else that actually has power. Id go for the Genesis G70 or Stinger GT. Rear wheel drive, far far more power plus actually tuneable and reliability ratings just below toyota.

But what would make it a real winner would be to beef up the engine to 350, 375 HP, make it RWD and add a 6 speed manual transmission, THEN that will get people really excited!

I have a 2012 Camry with the V6 in it and that car makes around 270ish hp and it feels quick for what it is. So I’m just confused as to why people think it needs more power than 301/304 what ever people say they make. But I do agree they should’ve gave it maybe 20 to 30 more hp for being a TRD. I honestly feel like I can buy a used 2018 Camry XSE V6 and throw all the TRD goodies on it and call it day. But I wouldn’t say they disappoint. 2019/2020 has been a big year for Toyota with the TRD cars and the Zupra. It’s a step in the right direction. I cannot wait for the future of their cars and to see what they’ll do.

The red calipers sums up this cars package. A bunch of racey looks for almost zero extra performance. At 43k you could get a very nice mustang or charger, or a used Lexus with almost exact performance.
Lots of love for the Avalon TRD, but I find it hard to justify more than $10k extra for a little more room and marginally better interior. Still a great car, but I would go with the Camry TRD because I feel like it’s a better value. Just my opinion, though if there are any other valid reasons for spending the extra cash on the Avalon I would love to hear them.

I saw Emme! I'm still not sold on TRD Camrys and Avalons yet.
The red calipers sums up this cars package. A bunch of racey looks for almost zero extra performance. At 43k you could get a very nice mustang or charger, or a used Lexus with almost exact performance.
Never really liked what they did to the front fascia of the new Avalons
Lots of love for the Avalon TRD, but I find it hard to justify more than $10k extra for a little more room and marginally better interior. Still a great car, but I would go with the Camry TRD because I feel like it’s a better value. Just my opinion, though if there are any other valid reasons for spending the extra cash on the Avalon I would love to hear them.

You drove the Camry twice !!!! Just in a different color you didn’t take out the Avalon for a spin how can you not tell them apart ?!? Lol
orlando prado What?! I drove an XSE before driving a TRD. Same with the Avalon. Colors were the same, but the wheels makes it easier to tell them apart.
nathan adlen I’m talking about the beginning of the video you take out a red Camry drive it on the street then you go out again but in a black Camry saying it’s an Avalon but it’s not unless there’s something wrong with the editing in the video but both times in this video you go out in a Camry just one is red and the other black different color
