@ Jank Paul - I hope they don't ever die. For the majority of vehicle owners, the sedan is more practical.
Currently, auto sales don't support that notion, however. I look at most SUV's drivers (and pickups) next
to me on the road an can only think that they are victim to marketing tactics. You know, the "I NEED a
SUV mentality". Long live the sedan!

Toyota disappoints. They should have added more power to the V6 and made it RWD or at least add a manual transmission and keeping the same engine specs and FWD. But what would make it a real winner would be to beef up the engine to 350, 375 HP, make it RWD and add a 6 speed manual transmission, THEN that will get people really excited!

CastrejonHDTV now I’m not saying your wrong with any of this you’re saying. But realistically that would be a different car. I have a 2012 Camry with the V6 in it and that car makes around 270ish hp and it feels quick for what it is. So I’m just confused as to why people think it needs more power than 301/304 what ever people say they make. But I do agree they should’ve gave it maybe 20 to 30 more hp for being a TRD. I honestly feel like I can buy a used 2018 Camry XSE V6 and throw all the TRD goodies on it and call it day. But I wouldn’t say they disappoint. 2019/2020 has been a big year for Toyota with the TRD cars and the Zupra. It’s a step in the right direction. I cannot wait for the future of their cars and to see what they’ll do.

@@joeharju5697 Yeah, I love Camry and I think they should have done more with it for the TRD besides cosmetic changes. I still love Toyota but I hope they can listen to their customers more. It's good they added Apple car play and Android Auto finally.

Wider tires, more noise. Low pro's, sharper bumps and more expensive tires. When a person buys an Avalon, they dont race their car around, get real. TRD looks good though. I want light steering, soft ride, space, power, reliability, and looks. The correct market is empty nesters and up for the Avalon. We would probably like a power upgrade over a suspension downgrade.

The real question is why is Toyota so desperate to keep the Avalon alive when it's nearly the same price as a Lexus and has exactly the same specs and looks as a Camry. They're exactly the same. They even look the same. Why would I pay 44k at a starting point for a Camry or Avalon. I'll drop a few more thousand and move up to Lexus F sport.

The red calipers sums up this cars package. A bunch of racey looks for almost zero extra performance. At 43k you could get a very nice mustang or charger, or a used Lexus with almost exact performance.

Lots of love for the Avalon TRD, but I find it hard to justify more than $10k extra for a little more room and marginally better interior. Still a great car, but I would go with the Camry TRD because I feel like it’s a better value. Just my opinion, though if there are any other valid reasons for spending the extra cash on the Avalon I would love to hear them.
