This is seriously amazing 👏. One of my all time favorite synths that I believe is under rated for its ability to do warm and rich analog sounds in a very unique lovely way. I Google searched real analog sounds on roland D50 and found your video. It was exactly what I wanted to hear and much more. Thank you!
I finally got these patches and I absolutely love them! Great programming work, Espen! Can't wait to bring some (more) 80s mojo to the band practice sessions. Cheers!
These all sound fantastic! I used to have a D50 and was so sad when I had to sell it a few years ago due to financial issues. However, as things have looked up for me over the past year or so I was able to afford to pick up a Roland Boutique D05, which to my old ears sounds easily as good as my lovely old D50. I've just bought these patches from your site and am so looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for all your hard work on this lovely old machine, it's my all time fave synth.
Thanks a million Nigel! I truly appreciate your support and I'm very happy the sounds is to your liking. Great synthesizer, I purchased the D50 2 weeks ago. I love it how it can do those 80s and modern sounds, kinda like the Blofeld the only difference is that the D50 sounds way better than the Blofeld.
PadMAD3k hello! I have only recently been asked if I was interested in a D50 since the guy thought I might like it. I said I’ll come back to it and I love the synth after doing some research. What would be a good deal to own one of these synths? Prices seem all over the place and since you have bought it recently I figured you might could help me out in this. Greetings!
@@devingademan Hi, it depends on the condition. If you can test it, test it, play all the keys on the keyboard, push all the knobs to see if they work. If it's in a great condition I would pay max 400. If the condition isn't that good it's between 250-350. If it has some issues like a button doesn't work you can ask him to reduce the price since you need to fix it. Fixing switches is very easy but still it takes time to do it. Mine was in a mint condition, I got it with an extra expansion and a flightcase for 350 euro. I have a huge D50 sysex patch collection for you, it contains a few thousands sounds: www.mediafire.com/file/tbuaudpaliin8os/Roland_D50_SysEX_files.rar/file Just download them and upload them to your D50. PadMAD3k I would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to respond to my message and giving me all this information!! Thank you! Coincidentally, Espen uploaded a video of the D50 just a few hours later after I commented on this two year old video! That particular day, I closed the deal and the day took a drive to go pick it up. Great condition. Very pleased about it. As far of the Sysex and such, I know exactly what you mean, I have a cable for that too, but have not downloaded anything yet. A friend of mine who has one too was nice enough to send me a great collection of old magazine photos in which they appear + a lot of links and all the manuals. I’m 📖 them and so far I have read the “Creative book” of the D50. I’m still having a hard time understanding exactly what LA synthesis in it’s core being. Sure, I have read what it says, but it is hard to really “visualise” a process like that. Anyway, still lots of reading + videos to watch since they’re so many about this particular synth. Once again, thank you for taking the time and I have saved your link in my computer for my D50. Greetings from the Netherlands!
