Rochester NY has a lot of fantastic golf courses.
We do indeed!! Thanks for your reply Michael!
High hands are necessary for leverage and power in the swing.
Very good but could you demonstrate exactly how you get your hands into a higher position
Also that lifting the arms too early is not good...I teach an early wrist hinge blended with the shoulders in the takeaway for the best chance to get the club to the top of the swing on plane. We want to create leverage and if lifting the arms early with hinge is what the player does with proper blending of the shoulders it could be effective..
We had a comment from Ty that high hands in the back swing may not be good but let's all remember that the farther the hands and the club head are away from the head the more leverage you will have in your golf swing. If we can manage the low point of our swing with this leverage we will be "hitting bombs"..
I can accomplish the high hands and arms but I lose the club heads under my arm pits. Which is better? High hands or becoming disconnected?
@@creativetelcoadmin8170 Hi..thanks for watching but there are no head covers on this drill.
I find if I swing up with my arms and not my core in the backswing, I end up using my arms instead of my lower body in the downswing. The club feels too light and I do not generate the power to sequence the golf swing.
Speed is generated by the hands and wrists so we never want to take the hands and arms out of the swing. A good thought may be the arms pull the legs back in the backswing and the legs pull the arms in transition and forward swing.
@@BrianJacobsGolf I find if I get the right shoulder turn behind in the backswing with my arms and wrists loose, I get the right coil with high arms and a good wrist hinge. In the downswing I need to unwind with the legs and lower body. We are probably talking about the same swing action emphasizing different feelings.
@@Peter-we8iw Makes sense..we all feel a variety of "things" and "ways" to get to square at impact!
