The greatest defensive center in NCAA history, Patrick Ewing. Ewing scores 20, only missing 3 shots on future NBA veteran Bill Wennington. Wennington would be drafted 16th overall, so you can only imagine how Ewing would dominate non-NBA centers in college. Only Lew Alcindor (Kareem) imo was better in college. Maybe Bill Walton. Unfortunately, Ewing was not able to capture as many national championships as other legendary college performers, but he was in a level of his own during his time in Georgetown. Just think about this: Ewing's knees were basically gone by '93, yet he lasted 7 more years in the NBA. Imagine if he went one and done; he could've went straight of high school if he wanted to.

Ewing and Mark Jackson would later become teammates with the Knicks

no disrepect to mark jackson but a better player isn't always better for the team and after bo kimble charles smith and doc rivers came to the knicks they advanced to the conference finals for the first time since 1974 and i'll say 1993 was the very best playoff year for superstar patrick ewing

The spacing was so horrible back then, mfs was really scared of 3 point line..

It really was i saw a couple mid rang es shots that could of been taken

Big East college basketball didn't add the 3-point shot until the 1986-87 season. The spacing is horrible because every basket at the time still counted as 2 points, so it would make sense that your offensive strategy would center around taking the highest percentage shots as possible. There's no point in taking a bunch of long range shots when it would still just count as 2 points as a result. Your looking at a 3-point line in the footage because they were playing at MSG, home of the NBA Knicks.

There was no three point line, in college. That was for the pros (Knicks!)
