As for Starbucks....Have never had anything from there. heard is was very pricey and I only have a coffee or two in the mornings and I like mine instant and strong! Rest of the day is water! I enjoyed this video, but I especially enjoyed your shoutout to those in Louisiana and the gulf coast regarding hurricane Ida. They’re going through a horrible time right now, so that was very nice of you to have them in your thoughts as they are in our thoughts here in South Florida and everywhere else in this country. That was very kind of you!! 😎👍👍👍👍

Everyone I know who is truly a coffee lover avoids the hyper-sweet, high-calorie Starbucks drinks. Certainly Starbucks was smart to create a bunch of drink recipes and learn to execute them with great precision (so the drink tastes exactly the same as the last time you got it). But more flavorful and stronger coffee drinks can be had elsewhere - and without all the sugar syrup, fruit flavorings, etc. It IS possible to order basic espresso drinks at Starbucks (without the flavorings and sugar), but Starbucks cafes mostly attract people looking for the sweet drinks.

Just watched this video and was reminded of your video of visiting Five Guys last year. In both cases, you remarked about how expensive the food was. I find this impressive in that I admire your frugality. Being careful with money is very important and many young people do not pay enough attention to this. très impressionnant.

When I go to Starbucks, usually after grocery shopping on Sunday morning, I'll get a blond roast, just coffee. Every single time they ask me what I want in it. I want some coffee, not a dessert! I mostly get it because it's convenient for me. And great to see you out and about Marie, I really enjoy your videos of your life in France. And tell Remy, nice work on the "Pepe Le Pew" moustache.

In the Seattle area, the headquarters of Starbucks, a grande (16 ounce/437 ml) Pumpkin Spice Latte goes for around USD 6.00 including sales tax. I didn't see the drinks you ordered on the menu. Of course, I'm a bad person to ask as I am not a coffee drinker. This is unusual in the area as most people drink coffee. Some people will buy at least one or two coffees a day.

Tours looks beautiful. I haven’t been to Starbucks for years. They used to have one in Cardiff in Wales that was inside a large book shop (which has now closed). It was good to spend time there, reading magazines and books and drinking coffee. But there are a lot of coffee shops in the UK that aren’t Starbucks - Costa Coffee is one I go to quite often. They have over 2,500 coffee shops in the UK.

I used to get caramel frappucino and white chocolate mocha, but I haven't been to Starbucks in years. I've never liked Starbucks coffee; in fact I hate it. It tastes like coffee made with battery acid. It's either super acidic or super sweet depending on what you buy. French cafes and restaurants have the best tasting expresso I've ever had and I drink a lot of coffee (usually 3 cups a day).

The only time I go to Starbucks is when I'm bored and can't think of anything to do. I get a Venti, Java Chip Frappuccino with a double hit of espresso. By the time I get that finished I more then likely started on several projects and have enough energy to last way into the night. They are very sweet and pricey but they are packed full of energy and it's sometimes difficult to stop talking, even if there's no one is around.
The straws there look different then ours but yours would work much better in a Java Chip then ours does.
Thank you for a very cool video and a quick look around France!

In my area there are very few Starbuck outlets. I do, however, buy Starbuck coffee at my local supermarket. I find the cost comparable to Dunkin Donuts which is probably the most popular coffee in our part of the country. The dark roast coffees are my favorite. They are the only type of coffee I drink at home. Cheers, Steve

Bonjour d'Australie Marie! Je suis vraiment heureux de vous entendre et votre ami parler en francais! C'est tellement agreable! Et la ville a l'air tres jolie! :)
Mmmm I am not a big fan of Starbucks. However, for a Large size drink in Australia, I believe the prices range from AUD $5.50 - 8.50 (EUR 3.40 - 5.30) depending on what it is.
A plain coffee (un cafe au lait ou un cafe noir) is less expensive ($5.50) while a specialty coffee, like yours, would be $8.50
    A bientot! :)

Recently I’ve been thinking about the La Marseillaise, national anthem of France 🇫🇷 the text “Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons !” Means killing someone and let the blood water our furrows .? Isn’t that violent text.
And “Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes !” Is just as violent it means cut the throat of your sons your women .
But it’s a nice anthem 👍I love the song and the music , so powerful .
But France isn’t at war . But the anthem makes you want to go to war 🤣
I think it was made when the declaration of war by France against Austria in 1792 by a person called Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle.
Thanks Marie for showing us around and visit Starbucks 😍👍🙏

Another complaint I have vis-a-vis Ameican junk food places in France is that the first time I was in Paris and went to the visit the Louvre I saw the McDonalds. Bonjour Marie! I cannot stand the flavor of coffee (I do like the aroma,) so I've never had more than a sip or 2 of different types just to try them. I've never had an actual cup, mug, glass, or whatever of coffee in my life. As such, I'm not a Starbucks person. I have tried some of their other drinks, and some of their foods. Meh. Other places do each of the other drinks and foods that Starbucks carries better than Starbucks does, so why bother? I'm glad that you got to go out and gave this a shot, and shared with us. I only go to Starbucks around Christmas time for the Peppermint Mocha or their Peppermint Hot Chocolate. Sweet and minty is good. I've been all around the world having been in the Military for 20 years, and I will say before you go to the States to visit be prepared for foods to be richer, sweeter, and larger portions than you are used to. When Christmas season comes try the Peppermint Mocha or their Peppermint Hot Chocolate.

Just a comment on your sugar comment... back in 1979, I had a horrible toothache. I had no insurance and no money, so I called the office of a dentist father of a friend of mine. He said come on in. It was a very very long drive, and when I got there he said we need to put you in college! Schools and I have never been good friends, but I figured it was requisite. He did all the tooth work I needed and sent me to a prestigious private college! Back to the point, I haven't had to see a dentist since 1979!

Hahaha this was funny. First, I am NOT a coffee drinker so I have that bias, but I have always thought that Starbucks was overrated. I think people just buy into stuff way to easily now a days. It's like the story of the Emperors New Clothes.
In case you don't know that one, it's where this Emperor hires this really famous clothes designer to fashion him new clothes. So this guy told the Emperor that he had the finest cloth there ever was and that the cloth was invisible to anyone who was immoral and unfit to serve the Kingdom. So of course everyone hearing this said nothing when they saw that the Emperor was naked. Until he took a walk down the street and a small child asked why the Emperor was naked.
This is how I see Starbuck, someone said "Oh you have to go to this coffee place, the coffee there is Amazing!!! and so everyone just began to accept that the coffee at Starbuck was really good, because no one wanted to be the first to admit that they were paying $6.00 for a cup of coffee you could make at home for $0.75.

Greetings from Scotland! Wise choice to stay away from the food there Marie! I think their drinks/food is very overpriced and full of sugary taste. I prefer COSTA Coffee (free advert there!) In France, good old fashioned "normal" coffee with hot milk is my absolute favourite drink! Add a pain au chocolat or a croissant and life cannot get better! My favourite pastime is to sit outside any Cafe and watch the world go by with a coffee and a pastry. Preferably without the noisy car entertainment! 💥💥💥 Thank you for letting me spend some time in France with you (virtually) again Marie! I will be visiting as soon as it is practical to do so! Have a great week!
    ---------------
Salutations d'Ecosse! +frenchtastic77 *Espresso and cappuccino are a Northern Italian thing transplanted to California, USA,* where Alfred Peet, a master roaster from the Netherlands, set up a coffee roastery in Berkeley. Fun fact: Starbucks Corporation's (Seattle, WA, USA) founders apprenticed under Peet.

Hi Marie, nice to see you out enjoying the day. I am not a fan of Starbucks. To expensive and the company is not a supporter of our police and military. I wouldn't spend a dime there

I like the monster brand better than starbucks. It's a little cheaper and taste better imo. My go to drink is the loca moca.

I can not tell you how much it cost for a cup of Starbucks near where I live, because I do not drink coffee. But if you want my thoughts on what you should do. Buy the beans that you like and make your own coffee along with what ever you would like, to add in it, and save yourself a lot of money over time.

I just get a tall coffee when I go and add the sugar and half and half to taste. Much cheaper than all those add on flavors they have.

We went back to the UK for a week and we couldn’t get a decent cup of coffee anywhere.,nowhere seriously. We are spoilt with our Spanish coffee.

I only drink Starbucks about once a year because it is expensive. I always get a tall white chocolate mocha that costs $4.50 U.S. American dollars. I don't know how much that would be in European money.

I’ve only been to a Starbucks once, and as I like my coffee black with just a little sugar, I never saw a reason to go back. Even a plain coffee was too expensive, and was too strong and bitter for my taste. My oldest granddaughters go frequently, I’d advise them to put the money in the bank instead. I’d rather go to a no brand name bakery, and get a coffee and a small pastry or piece of pie.

I don't much care for Star Bucks either . Too expensive for my taste . I prefer a straight espresso shot and star bucks cost too much .
