How does Autotempest work legally? Just curious. Why can't the sites that they are taking the listings from obtain some sort of injunction preventing them from using the other site's content? I'm sure all the companies have legal teams, so I'm sure somehow, someone has figured it out I'm guessing.

The car logo that has changed the most drastically from what I noticed, was the Peugeot badge. It's pronounced pershow to any Americans who read this.
@@buckdesystem4562 These sites are sending us their listings so that we can send them potential buyers. We don't just take them. For the few large sites we don't have relationships with, like craigslist and autotrader, we just link to their results pages rather than showing their listings on our page.

Actually came to unsub as the incessant hairplay, giggles, overt boobage and playing along over the past few episodes have grown distracting but more in a tedious, off-putting way that has even surprised me. Makes me grateful to have a woman in my life whom I find not only incredibly attractive but also interesting, inspiring and contributing with all she's got, and that's a lot. Wow, guess I've always been more an Automobile/R&T/C&D/European Car guy than a Maxim one. To each his own. I'll continue occasionally watching Hoovie on his own channel, but I feel I've just gained back some time switching this one off.

The Volvo logo, a circle with an arrow pointing diagonally upwards to the right, is the ancient chemical symbol for iron that dates back to the Roman Empire. With the iron brand, Volvo wanted to associate with the long-standing Swedish iron handling, steel and strength, but also with the car's characteristics such as safety, quality and durability.
The symbol has also been used by the ancient swedish company Bofors, that started as an Ironworks back in 1646.

It was indeed used in the days of alchemy to denote iron. The reason it's the same as the male symbol is that the Swedish botanist who first used it that way (to denote male plants) took the ancient roman symbol for Mars to mean male and the symbol for Venus to mean female. Alchemists also took the Mars symbol to mean iron. It was used to symbolize iron long before it was ever used to mean male.

Volvo's logo is the ancient chemical symbol for iron and also the ancient astronomical symbol for the planet Mars, in use since the 8th century AD. The first association of the symbol with the male gender wasnt made until the mid 18th century, but didnt become common or widely used that way until the 1960s. The Volvo brand was first introduced in 1911 as a line of ball bearings made by SKF, and when SKF diversified into building cars in the 1920s, they used their existing Volvo trademark for that. Guarantee you no Swedish engineers and businessmen in the 1910s or 1920s had any idea what hippies would be doing with the iron/Mars symbol 40-50 years in the future

Volvo started out as a Ball Bearing Company with SKF. That's why it's "I Roll". The Symbol is the Alchemy symbol for Iron, a high quality staple of Sweden .
That’s so cool. I just put a SKF bearing in my 12 year old washing machine. It’s all ball bearings these days.

The volvo logo isnt the symbol for Male. According to volvo it means "The Volvo Iron Mark is the logo we use as an emblem on the front of our cars. It also expresses our brand across digital channels. Derived from the alchemy symbol for iron, it embodies the strength and quality of Swedish steel."

I love the Honda logo. It’s been a simple “H” in a serif font since 1946. April is right though, the Porsche logo wins. They got that right first try.

When Mazda switched over to that scribbled lowercase m for a year or two, that was a big mistake and they realized that right away
I think the Lambo logo change is similar to the Porsche logo changes in that it is mainly a difference in texture but the base/soul of the logo remains unchanged. one of the more dramatic changes that I think has been good for the company is the Kia. Their new logo is way more modern and looks good. It also is a good separation from the "old Kia" where everyone thought they were cheap crappy cars. The "new Kia" has been referred to as the "new Honda" when it comes to reliability. Good styling and good warranties as well. Enjoying the show. Keep it up!

Others have pointed out that Volvo's "iron mark" refers to Swedish Iron, so I'll just point out that the pointer on the crest in the middle of the front grille always points to the hood release. That's true utility there. ; -)

The only logo that I miss is Mazda's "rounded diamond in a circle" logo from 1990-1997. I never liked the current "wings in a circle" logo. I also like the Oldsmobile "Rocket" logo better than that swoopy logo.
