    Stereotypes of California don't work. It isn't liberal. It's half conservative. Entertainment is not the dominant industry. Agriculture, technology, science, engineering, military, and so many other fields are huge in California. There are a lot of terrible narcissists, but also some of the best people you'll ever meet. I escaped Los Angeles because it's a third-world country, but at the same time, I was blown away to find the most intelligent, genuine, hardest working people, and best customer service I've experienced anywhere in the country.

Absolutely the kindest and best people on the planet, hard working blue collar agricultural and ranch workers out there, Vinyard owners. Rural California is extremely conservative, as is my entire family, even the ones in Los Angeles. The people running this state are extremely liberal yes, but the population itself is much much more moderate, purple, conservative and liberals alike get along pretty well. The stereotypes are not helping this place at all

      On a serious note, and I'm genuinely curious, why do conservatives hate on liberal states, when we outperform you in every category 2 to 1. Less crime, better jobs, better life, less accidents, etc. The only bad thing about liberal states is that they are expensive, and they are expensive because our economies are so good and everyone wants to live here. I don't understand your logic here. You hate the thing that works, but you love the thing that does not. Really? How does that make any sense?

In example say you have an accident (we were actually talking about violent crimes but same scenario) and are severely injured in my home state where there is one level 1 center you could have a 2 hour trip to get to it. Then add in the remoteness of Wyoming or Montana and you can see why they my have a higher mortality rate.

    Shocked my home state of Colorado wasn't the worst. We're always high or drunk and average speed going down I-25 is usually about 90.

    I can certainly see all of those states being on there although Kansas is a weird one, I do have to say it is very boring along with Wyoming by far due to how slow it takes to go through it. I travelled from the Denver metro often to Kentucky to see family no matter which way it's boring and St. Louis is probably the most dangerous to go through no matter the time. I am surprised Tennessee isn't on there since its pretty bad.

      What about St Louis makes it the most dangerous?
      21 South in Missouri used to be called death Alley and was one of the most deadly roads in the entire country, it's south of STL where I live

    I live in Missouri, and the drivers are dangerous. Hit and run is popular here.
    On vacation, passing through Kansas to Colorado. Kansas is very flat with a lot of sensory deprivation.

    I wonder what police vs. population density is. I mean cities like Atlanta every car speeds, but police can only get so many.

    since safe driving is a learned skill, and practice makes perfect, it only makes sense that congested traffic will breed better drivers. In my experience, Houston Texas is the exception to this rule.

    California and congestion should not go in the same sentence. Like 85% of California is extremely rural! And beautiful!

    So from the look at this map. It looks like anywhere that isn't overpopulated. And you just set in traffic jams all day. They consider safe. I can't kind to see that because if you're barely moving through traffic. Jams, I accidents are probably minor. So I'd say there are probably more or less injuries.

    Does the size of the state factor in? Texas is huge and has 85mph limit roads.
    And with 4 cities in the top 11 for population there are a lot of places with cars and heavy drinking at night.

    I'm curious as to what types of vehicles are involved in the stats: full size; mid size; economy; SUV's; high horse power; turbos; and even car brands. Through the years there have always been the 'death trap' models, and those given the title: "widow maker."

    • @clinttube
      @clinttube 23 дня назад

      Average model year of vehicle would be even more informative for fatalities and things newer cars would prevent. That's gotta be a lot of California's stats and other wealthier places.
