Thenyizumi village biennial footpath clearance day 2024.
Thenyizumi village has 7 khel but during footpath clearance day, it's divided into Rükhromi and Rüsomi according to their field sides of farmers.
Community footpath clearance day and feast is held in every two years. It's one of the oldest culture in our village.
Footpath clearance day is a festival and social obligation for both boys & girls, young and old one. It's a time where friends, relative, families and khel join together to know each other. It's cultivate cultural value and traditions through this occasion.
Community footpath clearance Day is observe not just to marked the event as practices by forefathers. It is important and necessary in a farming calendar which also coincides with the fall of Futhonyi (Summer Festival of paddy).

We should inculcate the values of its observance and uphold it's importance even in the coming years.

Yes very true and unique tradition which we usually practice in every villages but I saw that thenyizumi village has inspired and propelled us to keep our naga tradition live.....💪
All Naga villages have the same hard working traditions from our forefathers day which is very beneficial for all the communities but only in few places practice it these days and it's very important to clean all the footpath links with different places. The maram nagas have the exact similar tradition, it is done. Just before harvest season
