Good job judge, jury, prosecutors, and even Tonica. Tonica wanted to roll the dice instead of serving a concurrent sentence. Tonica is now serving two consecutive sentences. This is a very dangerous, calculated, and manipulative woman and should never be released to the public. I hope Melissa is able to heal from this horrific tragedy and changed her lifestyle for the better. This was an eye opener on what drugs can lead to. Ohio is wrong for not providing victim benefits. She was a victim to a violent crime regardless of her drug addiction.

The two best parts of this story are the justice for the victim (Melissa) and the punishment for the criminals. I fell in love with Melissa’s spirit and attitude; and knowing she’s doing well made my heart sing. Managing to put her life together after drug addiction and a murder attempt says so much about her. Addiction is brutal; and it can destroy lives so easily. I can tell her family loves her and she loves them. To watch the scowling faces of the defendants sitting side by side revealed exactly what kind of people they are. It’s easy to look at drug addicts and write them off as low lifes. But in reality the low lifes are the daughter, mother and brother. They were willing to do anything to get what they wanted; even if it meant to murder someone. But in the end brother and sister didn’t get what they wanted; they got what they deserved. And mom will receive hers when she stands before God.

If Melissa isn't a victim of violent crime I sure do not know what is. I do know one thing for sure she is a beautiful courageous MIRACLE & she's also in my prayers. I can not even begin to imagine a night like she went through and this organization that's supposedly for victims of violent crime has to be a hoax or at the least they're very prejudiced.. Keep the faith Melissa angel🕊️God is with you.

Praying for Melissa’s healing, and her relationship with her children! This story was heartbreaking- but it looks like she was a great family that loves her! As for those other folks… judgment day shall come!

My momma always say God works in mysterious ways. Perhaps Melissa as hard as this sound, had to go through that horrid experience to change her life. She's now off drugs and is getting her life back on the straight and narrow. I wish her all the best and hope she reunites with her kids. As for the mother/daughter duo, I hope the daughter spends the full term of her sentence, she's a danger to society and it seem as if she's inreformable.

She should be so proud of herself working as a manager @ McDonald's now is terrific. ❤️ She's had a lot to overcome & is still suffering from the effects yet she did with no help from the Victims Fund which I think she should have received something. I'm so happy she survived her deadly attack. She was able to take the stand & tell the truth that had them both convicted & sent to prison so she had the last laughter & took dangerous people off the streets. She overcame her addiction & she looks great & has her family members by her side. She's a survivor & an inspiration to others. I wish her all the best! ❤ Ontario, 🇨🇦

And that’s exactly how she created that monster of a daughter, not teaching and reinforcing boundaries and ‘overdoing and overloving’ her daughter to the point she created a narcissist… no mumma you weren’t no innocent and your daughter was an evil, manipulative, selfish brat who was willing to go to any length.

@@shell8481 There was a decided arrogance and lack of remorse in the mother's demeanor during the trial. And they were both smiling and gloating during the drug buy. So we can see one of the root causes right there, "MY baby can do no wrong!"
