I really like the idea of a blush roulette. Maybe you should do the same with the face palettes - focus on one face palette for a month at a time, by the end of the year you will really know which are worth keeping and which to declutter.
My collection off the top of my head: 7 eyeshadow palettes + 2 quints (1 incoming) 24 singles 1 face palette 2 foundations 1 skin tint 1 primer (2 incoming) 2 bronzers 7 blushes (2 incoming, 2 duos) 5 highlighters (2 incoming) An unknowable amount of eyeliners (too many. I need to start doing eyeliner brackets) 5 lip glosses, 6 lip liners, 4 liquid lipsticks, 1 bullet (I use all five lipsticks as blush) I just got into any makeup that isn't eyeshadow. I'm still testing the waters to see what works for me. A bunch of this will eventually end up decluttered or sold, I'm sure, especially since I have limited storage space and want to keep it that way
Enjoyed the video, tfs! In terms of powder, after discovering the difference between setting and finishing I've become a powder person and somehow had 3 different kind powders before i knew what they were, but i now think the different types make logical sense to have, but it's so weird that i went with one most of my life and now i think 3 powders are logical 😅😅i have a loose setting powder, Pressed finishing powder and translucent pressed setting powder for handbag (for blotting/touch-ups) Mascaras usually expire in 6 months, things that go around our eyes and come with a dip wand usually have 6M on them. i only had a Mascara at a time so never cared about dates or even thought they were a thing, but covid caused a slow down in makeup usage, then i started working from home since then and then i rediscovered expiry dates and contamination and degrading ingredients so I've become increasingly uncomfortable with the eye stuff, so I've decided they're getting tossed routinely but maybe 8-9 months, not 6. I'm also not buying dip eyeliners anymore, pencil and pens for me. My powder based products are for life though😅
It’s so nice to see someone who only has one foundation going!! One (or even two or three) feels so much more realistic than the 10 or more that so many RUclipsrs have open all at the same time 😂 I LOOOOVE love a year end makeup inventory.
I feel like the face palettes would be a great thing to pass on to someone else ! Because they are gently used ! And some people really love face palettes and find them useful ! Instead of forcing yourself to use something that you don't want to use ! Also I think repressing the Nard bronzer would make it easier to use and finish :)
Your videos are so interesting. It really makes you think how long it takes to use up makeup products. I mean you see these ladies who literally have a room full of makeup. There's no way anyone will live long enough to use up those products, even if you wear makeup everyday. LOL
With the Nars bronzer, I think repressing will make it much easier to finish, but if you don't want to mess about with that, maybe another option could be to smash up the powder and use it loose? Not sure if it would be easy to use like that though,it looks very dark for your complexion.x
Are loose bronzers a thing? Idk why that's so mind blowing to me haha but ya that's essentially what happened by the end haha. Pieces kept just breaking off!
Love a good face palette, but even some fave ones have at least a couple of pans I dislike. My preference is for all blushers, or all highlighters, etc., instead of mixed, or at least, matched highlights & blushers. Your mascara wardrobe is lovely, I also like to have many lash options, including colors.
I know! I just count them in the foundation category because that's the only category they fit in. I suppose I could call it the skin tints category instead!
I was with you until you got to the mascaras. I audibly gasped. I have one mini mascara that I swap out every 3 months like clockwork. It's clinique so I stock up on Black Friday or after Christmas when they go in sale Re: face palettes, I have one from Moira that I use for the cool toned bronzer shades, but it's a quad so it doesn't fit in my makeup storage and I forget about it quite a lot when I'm picking bronzers
Do you love the things you own? Or if you could find them homes would you let go of them such as your face palette. Are there products you'd like to add? I'm just being nosey😂 I hear you say I don't love this and I'm curious
I definitely don't love allll of the things that I own, but I do feel an obligation to use most of them up. Partially because of how satisfying it is to me to finish products! With the face palettes, I feel that I need to give them more chances to win me over
This is the kind of thing that I would love to do in theory, and would love to watch other people do, but that I would be worried about doing/put off doing myself!

ooh yes, maybe I should include the face palettes in the blush roulette so they also each get a month!

You can scrape some powder blush into the elf concealer and make your own diy liquid blush. I did this and I love it!
I've never thought of this before! I think the concealer might be way to heavy duty for that to work though :/
Loved seeing your collection
Thank you :))

Seeing RUclipsr's foundation/concealer DRAWERS gives me anxiety. I'm like nooooo you can't use all of those what are you doinggggg
I also don’t like the Milk crème blush so I use them as a lip balm. Way easy to pan that way.
I don’t like the texture on my lips! But I do like the shade

Yes for sure, most of my collection is pretty well used EXCEPT for my face palettes so that definitely says something!
I agree- I think everyone forgets about their face palettes! I definitely prefer single blushes
They're just more challenging to work into my routine for sure

Thank you! I know, it’s crazy - with those massive makeup collections you just KNOW the vast majority of it will be garbage in a few years

Loose bronzers are def a thing!
I think the lipstick suits you quite well ❤
Thank you!! It’s just super dried out so was not fully covering my lips 😅

Yeah it's so tough with face palettes! The chances of liking all of the shades equally are very slim. And hehe mascara wardrobe, loe that phrase
I Like that Red on your lips 😊
Thank you!!
Just so you know - the fenty Eaze Drops are a skin tint! One of the skin tints on my wishlist :)
I know! I just count them in the foundation category because that's the only category they fit in. I suppose I could call it the skin tints category instead!
My weakness is blush ☺️! I can’t finish any and I definitely can’t throw they away either. I have about 10 .
Yup this is how i feel too! At least I don't feel like the 10-15 mark is too out of hand
The elf hydrating camo concealer would be better for you, others that didn't like the 16hr one day the same thing, that it dries fast
Since I didn't like this elf one I'm worried that that one would be too similar and I wouldn't like it either!

Repress the Bronzer! 😅
Maybe save some empty pans / compacts and mix the two too dark / light powders.
This is the kind of thing that I would love to do in theory, and would love to watch other people do, but that I would be worried about doing/put off doing myself!
Two Maybelline Great Lash???? I never understood the osession with those, to be honest. I detest them!
Ya tbh I don’t like them very much 😅 I think Maybelline has some incredible mascaras and the great lash ones are among the worst
For gods sake clean your hands!😂
Hahaha I did clean them between filming this one and part 2!
