I stopped playing at the stalker section.
This mod makes you feel like a real metrocop. When I played it I died multiple times and I realized that metrocop are very easy to kill.

He meant that unlike the normal Half Life 2. In this mod, you suffer and lost more health and energy than usual. Like how easily can a Metrocop die. So you need to be fast and smart.

That Stalker escort mission is sure is a pain... especially with Fast Zombies dealing massive damage when they leap on anything.
The only tip is to stay close to the Stalker.
I actually got the stalker about half way and then ran to the end and got the flash light enabled and ran back to the stalker.
Escort missions always suck.
The train segment after it makes it much more worth it.
My Stalker died without respawning me. Walked around in the dark for half an our until I figured it bugged, and I had to restart again.
I brought one of the turrets along with me to the Stalker Mission

There's no barrel now in part 39:12, shoot pulse rifle's energy orb to the glowing blue hole up on the wall. this is also the key to solve many puzzles in the walkthrough after this.

@@realMrVent I know this is late, but actually Valve employees don't really have a boss. Gaben doesn't order them to make certain games. The employees make what they want, they're the best of the best when hired by Valve, And they can make what they want. They lost the "flow" as they said to make HL3. But, the employees just keep fucking updating the few games they got, that people still play.

And actually this is why the mod is so accurete because in this mod, you take so much damage even from a single bullet of the SMG. I recommend you to play in difficult mode, you will get an achievement.
Impressive mod. Makes me wonder why on Earth Valve doesn't wanna expand on the HL-universe. After all this time there must be so many new and interesting ideas for storylines and gadgets/weapons.

They're focusing on improving steam and other tech stuff as opposed to games because that makes them more money.

been watchin this for about 15 mins. and I have to say that this is a extremely well made mod. props to the mod maker. I always wanted to get a perspective from a CP or a Combine soldier. and this does that perfectly.

40:40 I cannot get past that point, the laser appears to be blocked but I get killed anyways.
This mod looks awesome, definitely gonna try it. However there are two massive issues I have with it already:
- The flashlight redux is cool, but it comes off as more of a simple retexture and looks almost lazy. Proper night vision might have been better (As long as it's better than Opposing Force's worthless night vision).
- Unedited NPC firing sounds for your own weapons. MY. FREAKING. EARS. CAN'T STAND THAT. For whatever reason, valve made those sound effects all come from the left speaker way more and it's VERY irritating to hear on your own weapon. I'm really hoping i can replace those sounds with either default ones or at least something better off Gamebanana
Night Vision in Opposing Force was fine, man.
Pepper Millers I remembered the night vision a bit wrong, it works better than I remembered, so ya got me there.
However I still don't entirely like how OP4's night vision only illuminates a few feet in front of the player, where actual night vision would let you see a lot further than that (I've worn actual night vision goggles once before. They're awesome.) Entropy Zero's works a bit closer to how i would like, aside from behaving like the flashlight (since it seems to be a retexture) with moving closer to and further away from the player depending on where he is looking. They could also tone down the blurry filter just a little bit, and possibly the teal color as well. Because while I get that actual night vision basically coats everything in one color, I think one could get away with using a slightly nicer looking one for a Combine gasmask. The reason I say that is because this mod has a lot of beautiful details and lighting at some points but you end up missing it when you spend 98% of your time with your screen absolutely BATHED in teal with a slightly blurry texture. Toning it down a bit would help bring out some of the details better.
This mod also has a ton of issues, both little and very major, but a lot of good stuff going for it. Hopefully the creators will improve it, because in its current state the mod is very inconsistent with its quality and enjoyability before it becomes an utterly frustrating slog with infinitely respawning enemies and *very* poorly thought-out gimmicks. The chapter with that friggin Stalker is just NOT fun to play through. And, after watching the rest of the mod here, it doesn't seem like it gets much better, except for a pretty cool ending. (And some pretty good dialogue from the protagonist.)

I think the Stalker is pretty cool in concept, but yeah, it does drag for a bit too long. Maybe if it lasted as much as the Stalker bit in Human Error, it wouldn't have been as bad.
Personally, I would actually make the plot more apparent (like, I get that the mission of the player is to take over the "piller," but I wish the dialogue and text were more apparent of that. Maybe do a Minerva kind of thing like Combine Destiny did).
Yeah, the flashlight was lazy, but I liked the colors.
Honestly, this mod, despite its flaws, is probably one of the best ones to come out recently. I missed mods like 1187 and Human Error, which were not perfect but unique in their own way.

Having a bit of a problem. For me, there was no barrel or anything to block the lasers, like there is at 39:24. Otherwise, the mod is great. It gives you a whole new perspective in a Half Life game, and even has slightly different sounds, textures, weapons, etc. And it's very generous of Breadman to make it free. Great game!
The Mod Is Pretty Intresing Because The Character You Play As, Talks Making The Combine Side Of The Story Pretty Interesting.

They updated the mod. Throw a combine ball (pulse rifle alt fire) into the blue light on the top of the chamber 33 in 39:21

The Best Metro Cop in the force. The CP you play as should get promoted.
Haven't seen the ending but if he lived and overwatch saw his footage, he would be forcibly turned into a soldier or elite guard with his skillset. The metrocops are 90% famished traitorous humans who want better food and don't care about others, him showing his immense battle proficiency paves his way towards full body augmentation and memory wipe~
@@corvidconfidential8826 Some do need food and are only forced to be that mean because the Combine knows what they're doing every second. It's sad too as if you hear in Gordon's deaths "Protection Team Member: Your family cohesion is preserved", meaning the Combine takes your family and if you die they die too.

This mod is great, but the ending is kinda confusing. What exactly happened to protagonist after he killed the vortigaunts and got frozen? Did the Combine executed him or turned him into a stalker? Why do Combine Advisor speaks to a common CP officer and what does it says?
To be honest he either was turned into some sort of a combine super sodier are they putted his brain into an advisor but he it still was the best carrier choice he ever made
His mind was put into a computer, so it could be used to make clones of some sort. I believe his real mind was also put into some other thing, such as a clone of himself. Well his /REAL/ mind.
So it's like Marc Laidlaw's Half-Life 2: Episode 3 script, where Breen's mind was copied before his death and put into one of the Advisors.
Anatoly Cherdenko see the ending with closed captions, if you do that it clearly states that they put his brain in storage in the combine over world and would insert his subconscious in the soldiers like the other subconscious' that they have stored

I came here for the same section. You may have figured it out or given up, fire your alt fire from the combine rifle at the flashing light above the lasers. It must have been changed since this video was made.

@@thelobsterclan6299 I've tried to share an image but RUclips doesn't allow it. Pause at 39:12 there are 3 lights above the laser door. It's the lower middle light you fire the Combine rifle alt fire into. When did you download Entropy Zero? The version in this guide is older, I only downloaded it a couple of months ago from STEAM. In my version there is no barrel but the wall has an arrow pointing up to the light, maybe it was changed because the barrel didn't always spawn.

28:25 honestly, can’t decide if there’s some burst mechanic with the light or if the player in question is just religiously against using flashlights
Playing through [again, not sure how many years after I first played it]. At 39:31, you get through the energy beam in the doorway by blocking it with a barrel. Just now, I don't get a barrel; instead, I have to shoot out the flickering energy beam above the door, which turns off the energy field blocking the doorway.
Also: in the corridor between the two circular rooms in this area, lined with five switches on each side: How does one know how to set the switches, to be able to get through the door? Of course I just watched this vid to find the correct sequence, but how would you do it without that? In other areas there are usually notes scrawled on the walls, or some other way for you to get the necessary info, but not here. There must be several hundred distinct possibilities of how the 10 switches could be set. Trial and error? That's not fair to the player. I don't mind a puzzle, but you gotta give a guy a clue.

Nah Im actually done with this game. When it got to the part with the lasers and vortighaunts I actually quit. I was playing on normal mode but for some reason there was such a huge difficulty spike. Like I had about 50 vortighaunts all coming at me from all directions and I had barely any ammo. Not to add that the vortighaunts do 40 damage and seem to instantly kill me as soon as I load in and my attacks do little to no damage AND they can kill me from all directions.

I literally wasted 5 minutes trying to cross the pipe at the train section because in my mind, I was still a peasant who couldn't cross the energy barriers. It felt so weird being able to go through.
