People talk about emotion and artistry and etc. But VOICE COMES FIRST! VOCE! VOCE! VOCE! Being sad and musical all you want, but it doesn't matter if you don't have a VOICE. She had a voice! And that's enough.
if you dont understand the cocotterie that was so present in edwardian italian salon you cant listen to this, the school of burzio was so far away from our times, she also has an heavy regional accent, she was the italian every theatre soprano of 1900s, unique experience to be able to listen to this, not evryone is callas, she actually sing very drammatic, even sighs at one point
everyone tried to be like burzio, over emotional, vibrant, almost histerical in some point, she was praised by many, those are singer that put their art into the song and dont just follow the sheets, and thats rare cause record company would have pretended a straight plain interpretation, here i can feel she was free to be eugenia burzio

Si La Burzio, hubiera podido grabar su voz, con las Técnicas Actuales, muchos se callarian y no dirían tonterías. Eugenia eres muy Grande.
