Then you have to follow a books instructions to unlock a hidden location in the wyrm fortress prison. I do not want to spoil the emperors identity, but it does not disappoint... If Wyll's father is dead, you can still get into the location, but you will not get the book that tells you how to enter. So a normal person would not figure this out without a guide if this happens.
Menwhile, protagonist from old games sitting on the top of mount Celeste ( he obviously choose to become god after throne of bhaall, cuz f*** motrality and material plane): " fourth time! Fourth time you will die, motherfu****!"
I have mixed feelings about Minsc as a person. He's deluded enough to view things are good when good has caused so much death and destruction (objectively speaking). Yet he's not a coward. He is a hypocrite, but he'd face his challenges if someone puts him on the spot and had a "Evil has a point" argument. In bladur's Gate 2 the player can actually have Sarevok on their team. And he's done MUCH better then in BG3. Imoen even cracked jokes with him. So in a sense it was basically the reverse of what you see with Minsc. In Baldur's Gate 3 MInsc has something to say about Sarevok. But he does it with humor. Jeriha too. Those two weren't able to be with the player in BG2: Throne of Bhall with Sarevok. But it's possible the player in BG2 informed the two. Which would explain the humor when Minsc and Jeriha meet Sarevok again. As if they know common ground is possible even if they have their differences. Sarevok is a very complex character throughout the series. In BG1 he's the "bad guy". Get defeated. In BG2 he has to wonder what the point of empires and power is. In BG3 I think Sarevok decided that might makes right but he's done making it about borders and nations. Which is wise. Due to Bhall's ability to instant kill the player by taking their blood Sarevok may be a prisoner in some ways. Or maybe he happens to find Bhall interesting and wants to see people prove themselves when the stakes are high. Minsc can smite evil all he wants. But that's the thing. Where do you think people learn the grudges and resentment from? I can totally think of a way to challenge Minsc on such matters with tension and drama. It would be great. I could at least write a script for it. How awesome would it be if someone went "Evil has a point" and Minsc had to actually use his brain and consider it when the road to hell is paved with good intentions? His ideals would be why he'd have to think. Because if it's a rock and a hard place he'll have too. It would be great. BG2 showed how Minsc can show hints of that at times. If BG3 does an expansion I could put the pieces together to have Minsc go "RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" when he thinks about his evil heart. Of which he admits he has to Boo already. It's perfect. Minsc already knows he's got inner demons (even if he doesn't yet admit it). Someone could help him bring that out. To control himself and what's around him better. He'd be beyond good and evil. He'd be able to make bigger changes happen. And mean to do it instead of, say, accidentlly breaking the bars in his cage in BG2. Great as that is he had to be provoked into it. Now imagine if Minsc actually intended to get results withou a focused mind. This in turn can lead to having factions in conflict learn to coexist. Even the gods themselves would bow to the might Boo. What? You didn't think I was going to leave Boo out did you? Imagine a giant Boo statue made of gold.
Dude, stop! You overanalized character who have int 6. He is to stupid for that kind of deep thought. Also he is chaotic good. They dont dwell too much about their actions

This is further evidenced in that most if not all of the companions will get jiggy with you no matter your sex.
I'm a bit disappointed. I was convinced until now that the emperor was Sarevok and that he was looking for a new way to get power as an Illithid. This would have been a great plot fort this character. :(
@v.h.6343 You discover the emperor's true identity from doing a very particular quest of Wyll's. Only if you save his father from the prison will you get this quest.
@@theslysock You can get the book and thence the quest from Councillor Florrick if you free her from prison and Wyll's dad is dead.
Menwhile, protagonist from old games sitting on the top of mount Celeste ( he obviously choose to become god after throne of bhaall, cuz f*** motrality and material plane):
" fourth time!
What you're talking about already happens in BG3, just not with Sarevok...
At least finish the game before you claim that it doesn't happen
Dude, stop! You overanalized character who have int 6. He is to stupid for that kind of deep thought. Also he is chaotic good. They dont dwell too much about their actions
The original games were twenty years ago. Get over it. And the voice actor is fine. Get over that too. Yeesh.
And? What's your point? It doesn't change the fact past games did it better with more passion and umph in the characters with better writing. You making excuses to be dismssive and inconsiderate to not address context doesn't change that. Your dishonest sarcasm will lead to living a lie if you're not careful. I'm not joking.
Listening to Minsc’s dad jokes became old 23 years ago. Why they chose to bring him instead of Edwin or Viconia 😩😩😩
they did bring back Viconia, she's evil, she serves Shar, because every other ending for her has her being dead.
In BG2 ending, Edwin challenged Elminster to a duel and lost. As punishment, Elminster took Edwin’s powers and turned him into a girl. In BG2, as part of Edwin’s quest, he ironically became a woman as well. “…it is said he or she is serving as a tavern girl…”
BS I redeemed Sarevok!
Without the proper voices.... these are not Minsc and Sarevok...
Or the proper writers....
@@DRourk Funnily enough, the writing for this part is on point with WoTC's writing in Murder in Baldur's Gate but you keep telling yourself otherwise 😂
@@truefenriz Didn't say otherwise.
WoTC isn't exactly known for good writing....
@@DRourk Which defeats your point that these aren't the proper writers.
If anything, this stuff looks like the kind writing WoTC mandates 🤣
@@truefenriz proper writers are writers of BG 1 and 2. Larian and wotc are garbage.
Baldurs gate 3 is pretty cool, but trashing on the prior games? Nah. They break lore so so often but they only get away with it because few played the original. Serevok gets dissolved into the heavens at the end of Throne Of Bhaal expansion. Gale detonated that shard in his chest in Baldurs Gate 2. Yet he’s back with both who he killed gone, but the shared back. Like everything crosses wires they may as well have named it Div 3 because they disregard the lore so much
Yeah no, sorry snowflake, that's not what happened, Sarevok was returned to life and spent decades as a mercenary before becoming penniless and as Jahiera says, throwing all of his progress towards being a good person away the second the lord of murder returned and offered him a place in the dead three's design
@@override367 you clearly haven’t played the Baldurs Gate tabletop Modular’s. You’d know better
@@bugg6597 Let's keep BG2 games lore in the game shall we.
@@bugg6597 Funny you saying all that when it is clearly your headcanon that Sarevok dissolved at the end of Throne of Bhaal 😂
Abdel is the canon Charname and he died in the Murder at Baldur's Gate module so he clearly did not become a god.
Also, Gale never existed in BG2 to blow up a shard in his chest but keep trolling away. I'm sure someone will fall for it 🤡
@@truefenriz the naïve and cocky never stop being funny, don’t change 😂
Wow, Sarevok's voice is awful in this...
I don't think it's terrible. They definitely weren't going to get his original voice actor unfortunately. That would of been amazing.
All the returning cast seems to have new VA's, to varying degrees of success.
@@spikegilfer1997 Yeah, I know. From what I’ve heard, Jaheira and Minsc are mostly good, which is why Sarevok being so terrible was a surprise…
It would’ve been awesome if they did get the OG back, he’s still alive and pumping out great VA work
Thankfully not as bad as the narrator's though.
