Great video. I have a 2014 BMW X328i and the hinge pin of the exterior mirror was broken. I got a new hinge pin. I am preparing to do the job myself. I need to disconnect the wire that passes through the hinge pin (the wire from the car inside to the mirror assembly). Can I disconnect the wire to free the broken pin and install the new pin from the mirror assembly or I will have to disconnect the wire from the car door panel inside? Thanks.

I’m pretty sure you have to disconnect it from the door panel inside.
Where did you get yours and do you know the numbers ? Thanks
