Chris dropping that grindin knowledge. It's cool seeing the tools that make the tools
you calling Chris a tool?! 🤣
The capabilities of these grinding machines never cease to amaze me. Excellent work, Chris! Time is money. Having the ability to produce your own custom tools in-house is the most efficient, cost-effective route to take.
Titan has some very talented people on his staff.
Chris is really good at what he does!
Cool tools to make tools!
Thank you Chris for the custom endmills man! They came out super nice and I get to take credit for it when people come to our shop 😂
How much time and money it really saved?🤔
@@gianki83if you were listening to the video it saved a lot of time. Without it, they would have had to have each part go back for a roughing pass. Adds what I’d guess to be atleast 2 seconds part.
The ability to produce custom tooling for a job is simply mind-blowing! It makes me wonder what a little imagination and AI will be able to accomplish in the manufacturing space.
My brother we do this since the beginning of taking chips
We do it all the time and we’re a very small shop. Just takes the right people and equipment.
Always informative Chris. Great video!
Great video
I do have a question now can u do both clock wise / counter clock wise cutter/chamfer tools on the same Carbide rod ?
Titan, can we get a video about organizing your endmills, drills, Indexables ect?
I am using a 5 drawer tool cart and losing track of what I have and don't know which way to go. Vidmar? Another bigger toolbox ect
Maybe some robodrill content please!
That stick out on the carbide looks so sketchy, pretty cool to watch
Agree. Especially with the short flute length.
I’m looking forward to learn CNC 😀
mind blowing i love it
when you think through the tolerances of everything in that grinding machine and the wheels and such very impressive
That was interesting.
on point donny impression
come to india .... we uses these type of tool in our routine production work 👍👍😜
Hey, I didn't think I'd see a Brother brand piece of equipment in this video (1:16). Go figure!!
See some room for improvements but definitely nice seeing videos on cutter grind. Both Anca and Walter have great software packages. 3rd grind is called tertiary...kind of a fun word to say.
I'm jealous of the nice wheel measuring and collect protection software, I dont have that on my Anca's lol. Nice to see us toolmakers getting the spotlight every once in awhile!
Newer Ancas with iGrind software have the same features.
@@danielgigandet2938 We're a small shop compared to most toolmakers. Im running a 2014 mx5 and i think 2012 rx7. we just dont have the funds for all the tech. Maybe it'll be good in the long run since i can show i can hit tolerances with basically a mic and a comparator if I look to move on from my current, who knows
Great video Chris! Lots of great knowledge drops!👏
Something tells me this was a calculated shot at people that said they liked tool steel to make custom tooling in your video about carbide tooling vs hss
Sir in fanuc control relative position in jog mode soft key preset key use please tell explain when it used for operation
Babe wake up new Titans video
After all that setup, how many spare bits did you make? I'm curious.
If we're only side cutting, why do we need to finish the tip/end of the endmill?
Not enough blank in collet
for showroom is good
but for money is better to sand them after normal milling
no costs for specialized endmill and normal program
Trying to keep up on all the new modern technology! Yikes! 😬
Hex stock ???
How do you make an eleven second part, screw machines enter the chat!
Titans of CNC ... : A question for you guys: The whole world uses the metric system. W H Y , please WHY do Americans still use the old fashioned, outdated, imperial system.....???
Working with the metric system is SO much easier. Less prone to mistakes. And everybody else uses metric, as well.
Even the creators of the imperial system, the British, have abolished their own system and are only using metric, now.
(They started using it in 1965....!!!)
Dude I could smoke you on my Anca. All of that polishing is unnecessary, and I hate how you have your wheel packs setup.
