I really like the design of the combined paper-like cut-outs and creative art props as if it were in a real play 😮. Also the actors were charming in how they performed and the narration and content mantained clarity, clearness, and a composed tone. Very high-quality ❤

It’s not an entirely accurate summary of the history since it’s only a few minutes long. It literally says that in the description. The only places that have a somewhat strong resentment are areas where the Japanese Empire did ghastly things nearly a century ago. And prior to that leading up to WWII when the Empire conquered Manchuria and Korea a couple decades prior. And while certain Japanese leaders like Shinzo Abe had a soft spot for the war criminals who committed those acts, there’s awkward moments where these certain people try to pressure other countries from having monuments dedicated to victims. This resentment mostly comes from the fact that the Japanese Imperial leadership and the military leadership responsible (besides those who followed orders) got off scot free compared to the Germans. Today it’s usually weaponized by some malcontents to distract their people from local issues. Most regular people don’t have negative feelings about the Japanese because most of that generation affected are gone. And Japan hasn’t tried to do anything else. And it goes for anyone else really (in general), I’d even say it about groups which had tensions for centuries longer. If the indoctrination gets nipped in the bud, it’ll stop the cycle. The only times it unfortunately happens is where some can’t distinguish between the people and the actions of their government.
Idk much but the Malay Regiment didn’t run away, they fought to their last. So.. that depiction of running away abit 😕 Could have been better to have a comrade pull him away instead to say let’s go.
