I've heard very good things about Crimson Dawn. Mainly: fast shipping times, affordable sabers with great sound cards, good customer service, and mystery boxes. I ordered my first 2 fancy sabers from there and I'm going to ty to disassemble their parts (most of their sabers are modular) and recombine the sabers together to make a nice looking extra long hilt.

Gotta be honest, i had a really good experience with ultrasabers - shipping was delayed by three weeks because the world shut down, so it took a total of 7 weeks. But i got exceptional quality blades. Both of the sabers are extremely durable, which is what i wanted, and i’ve had absolutely no problems with them, and they were fairly cheap.
I’ve also had great experiences with Ultrasabers. Out of almost 20 purchases, only 2 problems. One was handled well by their staff via email and the other was a warranty repair they did same day at a convention where they were set up. They are durable and the sound-less stunt sabers have long battery life, which is important to me because we Cosplay for hours at a time.
I have 2 sabers from Electrum Sabercrafts. Relatively cheap (got both of mine with customization and accessories for about 800), can make changes on the fly via a phone app, and their sabers look pretty spiffy. They're fairly bright and loud, they can withstand some serious punishment, and they come with a lot of features that most companies would charge extra for (recharge port, covertec wheel, customizable colors and soundfonts, etc). My biggest problem is that during duels, one of the sabers lost its pommel a couple times, but it's easy enough to screw back on and didn't have any damage to it. Another minor complaint is that the weathering effect on one of my sabers wore off a bit after some sweaty-handed dueling. They're light, thin, and can take a beating, but their store doesn't have alot of variety. If you've never had a saber, Electrum Sabercrafts isn't a bad place to start, as their cheaper sabers are less than 300 bucks. I'm honestly really surprised they're not on this list.

I totally agree. Vader's Vault is awesome. So much variety, such quality and something for everyone. You can buy a really cheap stunt saber or buy a more expensive neopixel saber and customize it however you like. 10/10, deserves more recognition.
It's going to be difficult for VV to reach the level of recognition of other brands simply because VV doesn't offer a true "entry level" saber. Their base-level stuff is on par in both price and feature set as the top-end hilts of other brands, and VV's top-end stuff is museum quality.
Dope shirt, fam. Also, thank you for doing all this. Also also, great work on the content itself, you're easy to listen to, good pacing, good editing lighting and music. Strong work. 🙏
I have one of the basic stunt sabers from Ultrasabers and it's lovely, had no idea about the horror stories. Just ordered my second saber from Rebel Sabers, it seems like a really solid value as even the base models have color changing blades and a couple sound fonts.
Yeah, Ultrasabers hilts themselves are decent if barebones and a little clunky, but the company's gone VERY downhill in the last couple years in terms of their practices, it's kind of a shame. I've got a bunch of (pre-covid) Ultrasabers stunt hilts and a Vader's Vault, from now on I'll mainly be buying Vader's Vault for high-end or from Patch for stunt hilts.
Oh, something to note with Vader's Vault sabers, even if you don't get Bluetooth, you don't have to take the SD card out of the saber. There's a USB port on the board that's easy to access once you unscrew the lower half of the hilt like you normally do to access the battery.
COMMENT BELOW! Have you ever purchased a lightsaber from one of the companies mentioned in the video? What was your experience like? Who would you recommend and why? Word of mouth is SUPER important in this industry as some companies may pay their customers for reviews, delete negative reviews, and spend fortunes on advertising. So PLEASE TELL US what your experience was like!! ✌🏻 DISCLAIMER: That being said, apart from the screenshots and images I put up that show reviews from indeed.com, or bbb.org, or Reddit, etc., these are just my opinions. I know I’m saying to never buy anything from Ultrasabers, but of course there will always be exceptions and you should do whatever you want. I’ve actually purchased just a blade from them in the past (before I found out about all of their negative criticism and reviews) and everything went smoothly. I only mean to pass along information I’ve received from the internet so you can make a more informed buying decision. There are plenty of happy ultrasabers and saberforge customers, so just use your best judgement when your shopping for your next lightsaber or related accessory ✌🏻 ✌🏻 ✌🏻
I bought from saberforge using their asp saber parts system (as I wanted a fully custom lightsaber to me without having to do all the electrical work) and while it did take 5 months to ship and was $250 without sound, any time i reached out to them for updates on my order (especially through covid starting up) they always responded in 2-3 days and gave me the information I was looking for. 6.5/10
Electrum i would recommend 100% they not only have an app to make saber changes on the fly but their customer service is great. Also hemstarsabers is a great company
I got a lightsaber from Crimson Dawn, my friend had one and we dueled, the saber was perfectly fine. I got the basic electronics in it, but it still suprised me with how many features had. The hilt I bought was $140 and it is really well balanced. I highly recomend anyone who wants a high quality lightsaber for a relatively low price, I would go for Crimson Dawn. Also it shipped in a week
I recently got a lightsaber from “Rebel Sabers” they’re a smaller company with 4 different tiers of sabers, ranging from very basic starting out hilts, to neopixel replicas Their customer service is amazing and I received my lightsaber about 5 days after ordering. I can’t speak about the neopixels because I did not buy one, but I was very impressed with the RGB blade I bought, it was in the third tier and was about $170 after tax. I have no problems with it given the price and I am very happy with it as it is my first saber. If you want a reasonably priced saber with a lot of features then I would recommend them, since they are a smaller company their customer service is amazing and all sabers have a 1 year warranty.
My son ordered from ultrasabers and placed a fully customized Graflex CE lightsaber on January 23rd and he received his on January 29th doing FedEx ground shipping. He’s very happy with his lightsaber. He spent around $400 and he’s able to play with it.

Crimson dawn. They now have a new sounboard theyre equiping with their sabers that have an eco smooth swing. One such saber is their specter for 99$ 9 sounds RGB color changing Duel worthy Theyre an LGT reseller but their customer service is fantastic. Theyre also very very competitively priced. /watch?v=0RB302DfXq0 There is an example of one of their new v6 soundboard sabers with their eco smooth swing.... tbh unless you wana buy a proffie or cfx neopixel saber this is all you should ever need or want out of a saber.
I bought 2 hilts so far from Saberforge, and the one I like the most is their Anakin saber from AOTC. Unfortunately the quality isn't so great, so i'm going to need to do some maintenance on it, but I had planned on doing so anyway. It needs new grips, new or properly fitted greeblies by the emitter, and it just needs a little work. I may also upgrade the electronics in it as well, if I can i'd love to make it a neopixel saber, as it's already a crystal saber and I can't really fight with it. I also might put in a personal crystal that I choose for the display :) Edit: one thing I like about KORBANTH, is that you can pay in installments! That's a HUUUUGE benefit because that means you can buy everything individually and put it together yourself over time. I think that's a really good deal.
That'll probably earn them more of my business, not less. I'm not saying I only shop with them exclusively, but if it's a design or hilt I like... What's a little alleged "employee mistreatment" to me? Just adds some extra Dark Side energy imbued into my lightsaber/parts.
i got my first to sabers from UltraSabers, the sabers are great, quality is amazing, the customer service was above and beyond and the delivery time was incredibly fast
I actually work in a special effects machine shop, and machined myself my own custom lightsabber/blaster on our tool room Lathe & bridgeport. Pretty easy to do as long as you know what you are doing.
i have a vaders vault saber and it broke over a year ago and I’ve been reaching out to them and still haven’t heard anything back when it was working it was nice
I was planning on getting an ultrasaber for Christmas for a while, but I've ended up on getting one from Kybers. Can't wait Update: This saber is amazing! It has soany features for a price significantly lower than what you would pay for a worse hilt with only 1 color, and no sound at ultrasabers. I'm working on adding to it and possibly switching the LED for a brighter one. Highly recommend, especially as a blank slate to work on
Kyberlight sabers are also really great. I own 2 of them, super simple to use, 20 built in colors, and duel ready. They have fairly good options for accessories for customization and for the price they are by far the cheapest option that has the most features
Crimson dawn, if you are just getting started and looking for your first lightsaber they have good quality lightsabers with a lot of features and they have a great selection with pretty great prices, apparently they have quite good customer service although I personally have not had any issues with the saber I got so I have not experienced any of that.
Bought the ultrasaber Guardian which was obi wans first saber and although the size is a bit bigger than I'd have liked its still very comfortable to hold and use and it's solid I love it. Never had a bad experience with them.
Thanks for the recommendation. Very happy with the purchase I made! Dodged a bullet, friend of mine bought from the crappier company - the BBB review pretty much made up my mind. Your #7 recommendation is where I went with. Great service arrived in 2 weeks.
Crimson dawn is another reeally good one and they are super affordable I bought one like a year back and I'm about to buy another one. Plus customer service is top notch they even have a live chat if you need help quickly. Their variety is pretty great as well.
I just got my first saber from Crimson dawn! Super fast shipping, came in a couple days. I had to reset the saber and broke the cord. Sent it back and they fixed it quickly. Definitely would recommend them for a first time buyer. Just be careful with the cords… don’t do what i did 🤣
I own 3 Saberforge, 1 Sabertrio, 1 Vaders Vault, & have owned several Ultrasabers. Saberforge is my favorite & personally I haven't had any issues beyond extreme wait times. And I have beat the crap out of them in full gear contact sparring (Golden Harvest V3 soundboards too) My Sabertrio & Vaders Vault are both neopixel & just for playing with, and the only way I was able to get them was on their "ready to ship" sales. As most of us I started with stunt sabers from Ultrasabers & have had friends with their Obsisian soundboards & I can say they are the absolute worst designed & built sabers EVER! I hope one day I can afford a saber from Genesis Custom Sabers 🥰
If I buy from Ultrasabers, I only buy stunt sabers. There are so many better soundboards and led setups from other companies out there that if I just want something to mess around with that looks halfway decent, I’ll buy from them. But I really want to find a good solid lightsaber from someone that not only looks fantastic but can take a beating too.
The only reason I buy from Ultra Sabers is to take advantage of the fact that their parts are MHS compatible. If I wanted something TCSS doesn't offer as far as hilt sections, they are a good choice.
I've gotten multiple sabers from Ultrasabers and the delivery on a couple were pretty good, but really bad on others. I didn't know that they were so disliked, but I was getting the vibe since I still haven't gotten a saber I ordered last august (It went out of stock right before I ordered) Now I'm looking for better options that are still somewhat cheap for cosplay, thanks for the pointers
Saberforge is a local business where I live. I actually had a great experience visiting them locally, they were all super nice and helpful. Couldn't have had a better experience locally at least.
Sooo, no love for Electrum? I'm actually pretty happy with mine and shopping experience was very nice. I have no idea how they slipped the list here......
Facts just researching them and watching all these videos they’re so good like the hilts are beautiful electronics are crazy and they’re durable. If I knew about them a year ago I wouldn’t have bought from ultra (even though I have no complaints over my mace saber)
I just came across this video. I wish I did sooner, than later. However... And when you said, "You feel overwhelmed at the checkout screen". I have been there. Thank you for noticing this fact. And thanks for the the redamations.
I would also recommend Crimson Dawn lightsabers. They’re super cheap but really good. It took about a week for mine to get to me. I absolutely love it.
Yeah they're great I order a tier 2 mystery box got it in 2 days got a wraith with there latest V6 eco smooth swing sound board with 9 sound fonts pretty awesome for $80
This was a good video. One thing I would like to point out is at the very end with the Bluetooth explanation Several things. Wiring in a bluetooth modual is 4 wires, Takes about 10 minutes from getting the wires ready to wiring them into the board. Placement of the Bluetooth modual of course does require a bit more engineering. Possibly a new chassis. So it's not like it is an easy upgrade of there's no room. But if there is already an upgrade being purchased, and the chassis is available, then wiring in 4 wires isn't that big of a deal. I'm not dissing the option to get one. It's great to get one and it's good they make the offer as an upgrade. My main point of commenting was the over dramatizing of the adding a new sound font. Granted you do have to remove the micro usb card. But their sabers are designed to where you can access the card fairly easily and changing a font isn't all that it's made out to be in this video. It is easier with Bluetooth though 🤔 Lastly though, one thing to always consider is smaller Sabersmiths Not necessarily myself, just smith's that are artists and make sabers from start to finish by hand will definitely appeal to a niche group of people out there that want something that another 100, or 1000 people also have. One of a kind hilts definitely holds value to certain people. Good video nonetheless. Enjoyed the energy and informative. MTFBWY
I’ve had good experiences with ultrasabers. I hear all these bad things but I’ve yet to experience any of them, my lightsabers have arrived within a month, and they respond to my emails within 24 hours. I’ve heard that they were better before the pandemic so I’m assuming that they’re getting back to normal now.
Imperial workshop is a pretty good one if you want baselit or Neopixel, although baselit sabers are the go to for dueling, imperial workshop Neopixels are great for dueling as well.
I just got my first LightSaber from them Shipping was fast it’s a neo pixel light saber for about $170 It also has Bluetooth compatibility I can download my own sound fonts Imperial workshop is a great company in my opinion surprised it wasn’t on the list
I agree, I have the revenant V2 from them, very good quality I think the only problem is variety. But the sabers are good quality and pretty reasonably priced
Bought from Rebel Sabers about 2 weeks ago. Took about 1 week to receive it. Love my Phantom Warden Saber. Wednesday I ordered from Crimson Dawn. Friday received confirmation that my Saber will be delivered on Saturday. 3 days is fantastic delivery time.
I agree with Keith Luh. I purchased an Electrum Sabercraft neopixel elegant lightsaber for less than $500. Great sound and with smooth swing. They also have the best customer service that I have ever encountered from a saber company!
My first lightsaber was (unfortunately) also from ultrasabers. I mean they're well built and rather keen, which is great, but also comes with the large disadvantage of having no neo-pixel or proffie whatsoever; I was unlucky enough to find out not until it arrived. In comparison with fully installed sabers - they just can't keep up.

A fine addition to my collection
We should be cautious all times...or else general grevious steals our light saber for his fine addition to his collection
Dude I watch you all the time and I love you and ash platt’s channels :)
DISCLAIMER: That being said, apart from the screenshots and images I put up that show reviews from indeed.com, or bbb.org, or Reddit, etc., these are just my opinions.
Savi’s lightsabers, coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life
I bought from saberforge using their asp saber parts system (as I wanted a fully custom lightsaber to me without having to do all the electrical work) and while it did take 5 months to ship and was $250 without sound, any time i reached out to them for updates on my order (especially through covid starting up) they always responded in 2-3 days and gave me the information I was looking for. 6.5/10
I might buy one
I have never got a lightsaber
Electrum i would recommend 100% they not only have an app to make saber changes on the fly but their customer service is great. Also hemstarsabers is a great company
Awesome video! Very helpful as I’m in the market for a good saber
I just ordered 3 mystery boxes from them yesterday. And I may or may not have splurged on mine 😂
What was the overall cost of the saber with a good blade?

Wow I haven’t seen a video on this channel in a while! Glad to be back.
I recently got a lightsaber from “Rebel Sabers” they’re a smaller company with 4 different tiers of sabers, ranging from very basic starting out hilts, to neopixel replicas
Their customer service is amazing and I received my lightsaber about 5 days after ordering. I can’t speak about the neopixels because I did not buy one, but I was very impressed with the RGB blade I bought, it was in the third tier and
was about $170 after tax. I have no problems with it given the price and I am very happy with it as it is my first saber. If you want a reasonably priced saber with a lot of features then I would recommend them, since they are a smaller company their customer service is amazing and all sabers have a 1 year warranty.
I got the phantom from their website and it's frickin amazing
Rebel Sabers just ship cheap sabers from China though? Why not go to LightsaberFX? They ship from USA and Europe and the sabers are epic!!
Thank you, this was helpful.
My son ordered from ultrasabers and placed a fully customized Graflex CE lightsaber on January 23rd and he received his on January 29th doing FedEx ground shipping. He’s very happy with his lightsaber. He spent around $400 and he’s able to play with it.
Everyone: Ultrasabers takes forever to deliver
Me who got my Renegade in 2 weeks: I am 4 parallel universes ahead of you
me: on a budget of $170
Saber companies: "get out brand new fancy pixel light 37 inch 15 sound soundboard with light on clash and light swing with wiring interior combat blade version 5 for the low low price of $1000!!!
me: what can I get for $170?
Saber company: you can get this empty used low grade simplistic hilt!
Crimson dawn. They now have a new sounboard theyre equiping with their sabers that have an eco smooth swing. One such saber is their specter for 99$
9 sounds
RGB color changing
Duel worthy
Theyre an LGT reseller but their customer service is fantastic. Theyre also very very competitively priced.
/watch?v=0RB302DfXq0
There is an example of one of their new v6 soundboard sabers with their eco smooth swing.... tbh unless you wana buy a proffie or cfx neopixel saber this is all you should ever need or want out of a saber.
Their new v6 soundboard sabers are the t-38, specter, antares, and the animus on their efx line.
@@zacksevememes69 Are these sabers good for dueling as well?
@@theknightwhosaysni6318 yes they have a heavy grade blade included
@@zacksevememes69 Defiantly gonna buy a saber form here. Thank you!
I also might put in a personal crystal that I choose for the display :)
Edit: one thing I like about KORBANTH, is that you can pay in installments! That's a HUUUUGE benefit because that means you can buy everything individually and put it together yourself over time. I think that's a really good deal.
Great video. you helped me a lot!
Thank you for taking the time to compile this list. I’m checking these out right now. Also Ultra Sabers is definitely a subsidiary of the Empire
That'll probably earn them more of my business, not less. I'm not saying I only shop with them exclusively, but if it's a design or hilt I like... What's a little alleged "employee mistreatment" to me? Just adds some extra Dark Side energy imbued into my lightsaber/parts.
First video of yours I’ve had pop up on my RUclips. Very informative. A definite subscribe!
i got my first to sabers from UltraSabers, the sabers are great, quality is amazing, the customer service was above and beyond and the delivery time was incredibly fast
Love your vids man
Genesis Custom Sabers is 100% hands down the best! Quick shipping, amazing quality and Rob has no problem answer any question you have big or small.
Rob is awesome!
I didn’t know about the pach store, and the ultimate maverick hilt is perfect for my cosplay
I actually work in a special effects machine shop, and machined myself my own custom lightsabber/blaster on our tool room Lathe & bridgeport. Pretty easy to do as long as you know what you are doing.
That's the issue. We don't know what we're doing
i have a vaders vault saber and it broke over a year ago and I’ve been reaching out to them and still haven’t heard anything back when it was working it was nice
I was planning on getting an ultrasaber for Christmas for a while, but I've ended up on getting one from Kybers. Can't wait
Update: This saber is amazing! It has soany features for a price significantly lower than what you would pay for a worse hilt with only 1 color, and no sound at ultrasabers. I'm working on adding to it and possibly switching the LED for a brighter one. Highly recommend, especially as a blank slate to work on
I've got two dueling sabers from Kybersabers and I'm happy with them
Sabermach and Electrum Sabercrafts are two sabersmiths that should get some recognition.
I got an ultrasaber, and I really like it, but I'm not getting from there again, I agree.
This helped so much
Kyberlight sabers are also really great. I own 2 of them, super simple to use, 20 built in colors, and duel ready. They have fairly good options for accessories for customization and for the price they are by far the cheapest option that has the most features
Been looking at them, but not a fan of their hilts. Especially for what I want (a lightstaff/dual saber)
Same
Thanks for the recommendation. Very happy with the purchase I made! Dodged a bullet, friend of mine bought from the crappier company - the BBB review pretty much made up my mind. Your #7 recommendation is where I went with. Great service arrived in 2 weeks.
My only correction to this is with Korbanth, they are an overall good company but their install quality is not to par with the money you spend.
But there 3x the price
@@QuiGonJinn1993 bad grammar plus a false claim. Nice, a bot.
Yeah, cuz they used to outsource their installs. According to them they’ve stopped doing that and have better QC now.
Crimson dawn is another reeally good one and they are super affordable I bought one like a year back and I'm about to buy another one. Plus customer service is top notch they even have a live chat if you need help quickly. Their variety is pretty great as well.
Great video. I'm looking for my first Lightsaber. This helps a lot.
Very, very informative!
And I have beat the crap out of them in full gear contact sparring (Golden Harvest V3 soundboards too)
My Sabertrio & Vaders Vault are both neopixel & just for playing with, and the only way I was able to get them was on their "ready to ship" sales.
I didn't know that they were so disliked, but I was getting the vibe since I still haven't gotten a saber I ordered last august (It went out of stock right before I ordered)
Now I'm looking for better options that are still somewhat cheap for cosplay, thanks for the pointers
I'm thinking about buying a saber, I really want a good sound driver for personal, and 2 stunt sabers for skits.
Just bought my first. Osprey Neopixel from Crimson Dawn. More than satisfied. Arrived in a week, amazing quality. Very happy
Almost brought from ultrasabers. This video saved me thank you!!

This is awesome advise the family's planning this as a 21st present for my brother so this helps a lot 😀
GREAT INFO!!!!! Thanks so much for the vid!!!!! I'm Cosplaying a Jedi Night and this saved me a huge headache!!!!!!
I’m glad! 👏🏻 Good luck with your cosplay!!
I was just looking at Ultra Sabers the other day, and almost bought a saber from them. Thanks for the info😎
I would go by your own opinion on all that. I have 2 from ultrasabers and they are just fine
I would also recommend Crimson Dawn lightsabers. They’re super cheap but really good. It took about a week for mine to get to me. I absolutely love it.
Yeah they're great I order a tier 2 mystery box got it in 2 days got a wraith with there latest V6 eco smooth swing sound board with 9 sound fonts pretty awesome for $80
They’re legit but keep in mind they are just a reseller of LGTsaberstudio.
Helpful thank you
Bought a Saberforge eco saber. Love it. Want to build my own though.
This was a good video. One thing I would like to point out is at the very end with the Bluetooth explanation
Several things.
It is easier with Bluetooth though 🤔
Lastly though, one thing to always consider is smaller Sabersmiths
Not necessarily myself, just smith's that are artists and make sabers from start to finish by hand will definitely appeal to a niche group of people out there that want something that another 100, or 1000 people also have. One of a kind hilts definitely holds value to certain people.
Good video nonetheless. Enjoyed the energy and informative.

I got my first saber from SF like 5 years ago she is still going strong, though my next was a VV and it is a monster.

Thanks for giving me the low down on what companies to & not to order from.
I’ve been to Saber Forge headquarters and shop, and I was super impressed with what they had.
When I see The price of rob saber: me: why do you need to hurt me so much
I recently ordered the Legionnaire lightsaber from Crimson Dawn, and it’s arriving later today. I’m stoked
8 bought a bane from ultra saber back with it had 3 buttons and no sound i love it
i wish there were more options for duel lightsabers that have the hilts from the movies
Imperial workshop is a pretty good one if you want baselit or Neopixel, although baselit sabers are the go to for dueling, imperial workshop Neopixels are great for dueling as well.
I just got my first LightSaber from them
Shipping was fast it’s a neo pixel light saber for about $170
It also has Bluetooth compatibility
I can download my own sound fonts
Imperial workshop is a great company in my opinion surprised it wasn’t on the list
I agree, I have the revenant V2 from them, very good quality I think the only problem is variety. But the sabers are good quality and pretty reasonably priced
This is such an important video since many new comers go to ultrasabers and saberforge
Buying my first one he is helping me with all my questions.
I maid 4 custom hilts out of scrap peace’s thought they came out really good for what I had
“Hello there” being one of the first words you said in the video
Me: general Kenobi
Bought from Rebel Sabers about 2 weeks ago. Took about 1 week to receive it. Love my Phantom Warden Saber. Wednesday I ordered from Crimson Dawn. Friday received confirmation that my Saber will be delivered on Saturday. 3 days is fantastic delivery time.
Links would have been nice but a good video, I'm glad I watched it tbh
Who doesn’t love when he uploads?
Electrum sabercrafts and crimson dawn are also excellent companies with great customer service and top of the line quality sabers
I’m glad this video exists! I was just feeling overwhelmed enough that I was going to give up.
What’s the word on saberforms?
