I am a beginner and I was seriously searching to make it more "golden" "coppery" looking and you were the first one to show it and show it well. Also, I love the pink vibe you got going!! Everything is adorable in your video! Thank you!
You'll just want to make sure you polish it really well and use a polish that also has a finishing compound in it. It will leave a protective layer on the solder that should help keep it shiny. If it does start to oxidize, you can always go back and re-polish it.
I didn’t know you polished the piece before you patina!! Thank you!!
you can also use a magic eraser instead of the first polish! the goal is just to get your solder lines as clean as possible.
@@SparkleGarbage - I ordered a bag of them - will try that too. What kind of polish- didn’t catch that?
@@roseannarteaga4632 I use Liva stained glass polish

you can also scrub with a magic eraser before polish/patina and it will help get those solder lines a lot cleaner
Really nice job! Solder on!

If you want thr solder to stay shiny silver, how do you stop it oxidising and going matt/crusty looking please? Tia :)
