    This was deLISH! I couldn't believe how easy it was and how tender the chicken turns out. Shreds like a dream. I thickened the broth with just a little corn starch and served it over steamed rice. Now I'm wondering if this could be a curry?? Have you experimented with that Louise?

      I haven't, but I bet that would be wonderful!

    I just have to comment on this again! This time, I used the cold leftovers to top off a bed of salad. Mixed a quick dressing of rice wine vinegar, maple syrup and a dab of garlic chili sauce. IT WAS SOOO DELISH!! Just another option for this dish. ;) Thanks so much Louise!

      Thanks! I've done that too and love it on a cold salad!

    This looks fantastic, Louise! Thank you for another great easy recipe. Love all the Asian themed foods. I can’t eat hard foods right now so I think I will roll in one of those Vietnamese wrappers with your delectable peanut sauce which I have in my freezer!

    Thank you Louise!! I can't wait to try!! It looks so good and I love how you go straight from the freezer to the foodie!! That helps me so much with trying to balance cooking and working!!

      There are some recipes where freezer to Foodi works great, but others do turn out better when thawed first.

    Sounds yummy!! Will definitely be looking up the Asian slaw recipe. I watch on TV & the cards or whatever where you say you link something never show up. But... no biggie, I know how to look things up hehehe. I moderate lives for a RUclipsr, & as many requests as she gets for links in convinced folks have lost the ability to search lol Actually they just want you to do the work for them, like you haven't already done enough. Hugs!

    Can you substitute lemon grass extract for the paste? Can't find the paste in my area. If so, how much?

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 года назад +1

      I've never used lemon grass extract, but if you use it, I would start with very little.

    Do you have many receipts using chicken legs? We just got our Ninja foodi, and our freezer has much chicken legs.please.

    I have used FISH SAUCE in other recipes, and I too, was skeptical at first, thinking that my end result would wreak of a fishy smell, but that is not the case at all. So if you are on the fence about trying it, give it a shot. You may just be pleasantly surprised.
    Another idea:
    The time that it takes to cook the chicken in this recipe is so quick, that you can experiment with the FISH SAUCE with ONE piece of chicken, as Louise used in the video above. That way you can do a taste test and evaluate it for your own personal preference.

    Looks very tasty Louise. Did you have a video of steaming chicken breasts in your Foodi? I thought you did but I can't find it. Maybe I'm mistaken 😺

      No, I haven't done steamed chicken breasts, but you just gave me a good idea! Thanks!

      You can tap like and it will cancel out the dislike, but honestly it doesn't matter. I don't care about those metrics, I care about people and I hope I make videos that inspire and educate. Much love, Louise

      No fish sauce is salty and made from fermented fish. Worcestshire sauce is made with vinegar and molasses and more.

    • @arlenstrickland3324
      @arlenstrickland3324 4 года назад

      Worcestershire sauce typically DOES contain a little bit of anchovy, which is why it is not acceptable for vegans. But Asian fish sauce is made of fermented fish, so it's the main ingredient, not one of many. It's very salty and used like soy sauce, but it's made of fish not soy beans. : )

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 года назад

      No, but often times Worcestershire sauce has fish in it.
