These are not your typical frame sliders, they're better! We've seen a lot of frame sliders mount on the Honda Grom's engine cases and cylinder block, both of which are not made for structural integrity and are often damaged during a crash when those types of sliders are installed. We went with a different approach that has proven to withstand some harsh abuse, as proven with our 2013-2020 frame slider kit and the crashes we've seen with them installed. We have engineered new brackets and a new hardware kit that utilizes the main front-engine / frame mount of the 2022+ Honda Grom for the dominant structural fastening point. We then reinforced the protruding sliders with a cross-member that essentially creates a mini sub-cage and provides exceptional structural rigidity. Each bracket still utilizes several of the mounts on the left and right engine case for additional support of the black anodized CNC machined mounting plates, however the main support is handled by the cross-member and engine/frame mount. Each bracket has gone through finite element analysis tools to optimize the bracket geometry and ensure a rigid and effective design that proves to provide real-world protection in most crash scenarios, while also able to become consumable in the event of a more serious crash and not cause damage to the interfacing bike components. The no-cut design provides an easy installation method so you can spend less time install crash protection on your Grom, and more time out riding. Авто/Мото
I just ordered my frame sliders from you guys! Can't wait for the body panel grommets to be available!
Ooooo, very nice guys! Definitely have to add to my list for Santa!
You should!
My order is in, I was just waiting for this to be available. They were out is stock.
I've always wanted a Honda Grom but they're not common here in the Philippines
Lovely piece of equipment. Pity no availability for the crash protection kit, especially in Europe.
Just purchased two packs!!!
I hope you have two groms
@@TSTindustries purchased front, back, and center kit 🙏🏼
Did you team figure out slider fitment with ohlins?
Maybe do a short video of the bike laying down on the Frame Slider??? Also would it interfere with a Chimera cold air intake....looks close!!
I think maybe some photos of that are a good idea. We can post those ion the product page and/or our blog. I can't answer the Chimera question with any confidence, sorry.
Can you still fit a chimera intake on with this slider kit? and was the long bolt in the rear also 40ft lbs?
I don't know how that would interfere with the intake but maybe. We have not tested them together. We have an itake system that produces some really nice results and sounds really aggressive, all without losing your fairing mounting points as in the case with other aftermarket intakes. You can see that here: tstindustries.com/tst-worx-airbox-cover-for-honda-grom-2022.html
Oh and 40 ft-lb will be the torque for that bolt.
i cant get that one big main bolt off hmm is a impact easier to use
Just got it off🥱
Any tips getting that big bolt off? My impact didn’t do the job
Make sure you are trying to turn the nut and not the bolt to loosen that connection. You can use a long breaker bar that gives you a longer moment arm to crack that nut loose.
@@TSTindustries thanks for your suggestion! finally got it off
Please note on the TST Industries website! "NON U.S. CUSTOMERS | Due to interference caused by a regional-specific engine sensor, this kit is not compatible with Groms in the United Kingdom." actually its any Grom sold in Europe Euro 5 compliant! I bought mine in Cyprus! The kit will fit but only without the black support bar in the video! you replace the bar with some locking nuts!
Thank you for this information, we will edit the existing warning now.
I wonder if these stick out farther than the stock exhaust?
That is not what they are designed for.
@@TSTindustries I see, they're more designed to protect the engine case than the exhaust. Thank you for the reply and the amazing products. Hard to find stuff for my 22 😅
When are they going to be back in stock?
Hopefully within the next couple of weeks pending no further delays.
Dude just fyi it might be worth mentioning to heat the nut that the super long bolt replaces.
I stripped part of the nut. Heating + wd40 + extracting nut socket + 1400 ft/lb impact wrench got it off. I think the heating is necessary to unlock thread locker.
Love the way it looks on my grom though. Tst coming in clutch again. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just stripped the nut with a 12 point socket. Am I SOL? heated and WD40 still wouldnt come off. not using an impact driver just a socket wrench
@@ricky5475 no :(
Will this work with the replacement of air intake other than factory
We have not seen any aftermarket iuntakes that interfere with this setup. However, we have not surveyed all of the available ones on the market.
@@TSTindustries I have new pictures to send but it came back undeliverable.
How can I get it.!!
The link is in the description.
Damn, so it’s looking like you can’t use the ohlins remote reservoir with the frame sliders : (
I kinda dig the way the reservoir looks, on the side. Better than an upside down piggyback : /
But man, that seems to be a prime mounting spot.
Unfortunately the Ohlins shock is backordered through March or something like that. Unless we can borrow one from someone we will not be able to shoot an installation video of the Ohlins reservoir with our slider set. I am almost certain that we will find a method that works for Ohlins shock owners but we can't do that until we get one of those shocks.
TSTindustries I might be willing to let you borrow mine. At the very least I could send the mounting bracket.
@@TSTindustries I got mine to fit with a little hammering to straighten the ohlins bracket and only mounted with one screw but it works fine. You guys might have to make a shock resivor bracket that is compatible.
@@CIarkNova I got mine to work
Corey Massa really? I was afraid to buy the TST kit because of it maybe not fitting. Did you mount the Ö bracket on top of the TST one? Would you mind sharing pics?
is it true the fact that this frame doesn't fit for european groms??????
That is correct. There seems to be a sensor of sorts that mounts where the bracket cross bar sits, therefore preventing proper installation.
